Has to be down right the worst internet service I have ever had. I have had AT&T, Charter, and Centurylink and Cable America has been the worse. I did not think anyone could be worse than the others. I was wrong. The tech support knows next to nothing. Every call begins and ends with, "Unplug it and plug it back in. Call us back if it still isnt working right." and then they hang up. I pay close to $90 for 20meg service, and right now, after multiple tests, Im not even pulling 7megs from THEIR website speed test. Their answer? Its because Im running through a Router and not a direct line from their modem to my pc. So I hooked up the pc through a direct line. Their answer? Its my pc network card. So I test a second computer. Their answer? That computer is bad as well. My laptop? Yep. Bad. PS3? PS4? Wii? Yep, yep and yep. All of them bad built in network cards. I either have the worst luck with electronics, or something else is going on here. Everything is because its my fault, not theirs. Thats their answer for everything. When they come out? The problem magically disappears. Every time. Even though my router. No problems at all, even the wireless becomes flawlessly fast. Full speed ahead Mr Sulu. I guess they have to make their money some how. This is it. They throttle you down and then send out a tech to magically find no problems and then bill you for them to come out. This is what awaits you if you choose Cable America. I had a double hernia surgery once. Took me a full month to recover. Most pain I ever had in my life. Even with the pain killers i was given, and was informed would knock out an elephant, Id rather go through that again, without the anesthesia and without the pain meds, than deal with them for one single hour of any given day. They are a massive rip off. How they stay in business is ONLY because, in some locations, they are they only provider. If you are in one of those locations, I pity your poor soul. You are in for the worse time of your life. I would rather live in the ghetto, with a crackhead roommate, than a nice, safe neighborhood, if my only choice was Cable America. Yes, this all seems a little over the top, but after 7 years of dealing with them, Ive had enough of their bull. Please, for your own sanity, dont move to any place where they are your only provider. Its not worth it. Not even for free rent.

I called tech support for help in logging on to the internet after an earlier call to change my password. After that call, I was unable to connect to the wifi. I re-booted the router and checked connections 5 times. No luck. So I called and spoke to Brian. He was a total ass. He told me that I would have to keep re-booting until I connected. What the hell kind of answer is that? I am not computer savvy but I started looking around and finally found the place to log on to the wifi. I may be old, fat, and stupid but it would not have hurt him to walk me to the place to log on under the new password. As a paying customer I deserve better treatment. If it were not such a hassle to change things up again, I would cancel in a heartbeat. BUT, any more encounters like that I will cancel.

Here it is 5:51 pm, 3/30/2016....Cable America was supposed to complete installation by 9:30 am, 3/29/2016, however called us yesterday morning advising us they would be unable to complete the installation by the agreed upon time so my husband would be able to leave in time for work. When they called an agreement was made to be here at 4:30 pm today, waiving the installation fee for the inconvenience of rescheduling. Were leaving Centurylink because of their complete incompetence, however Im starting to fear the grass may not be greener on the other side in this change! The representative is still not here for my 4:30 pm install, and unfortunately they have closed the office and have no one available for me to complain to!

This company needs to go away! They are my only option where I live unfortunately. I cant even stream movies or play Xbox live sufficiently. Im paying for 20mb and getting like 5 tops its a joke Edit: a year later....and still the absolute worst garbage I have ever had to pay for. Still the only company available in my area and still the worst. I have more outtages and issues than not. All I ask for is a consistent service it shouldnt be that hard especially for the 80$ I pay a month for the fastest(but slowest) speed they offer. Something need to be done!

The absolute worst company i have ever dealt with. very slow response time when having issues, they hang up on you when on the phone with them. they charge you multiple times after canceling service. after calling multiple times about them still charging me they finally said they would refund me. then after two weeks of waiting for the check i call back in and they still had not mailed it out. a truly terrible company that has absolutely no care about their customers. i would go without internet before i would ever use their service again.

Word for a wise; just so you know, also to help make decision on your cable selection. I will give Cable America a 50 out of 100, first few months of service was great, later, connecting was slower than a moving snail. Streaming on Netflix, you might as well forget it, it reminds me of when we use wire to connect to the internet, waiting for the hourglass to finish doing its thing. Its been swell Cable America, have to say am moving on to another company, before my hair turn grey.

Id be willing to bet that the five star review by "Chris D" was written by someone who works here. Dont trust it. They are the absolute WORST internet provider Ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Our apartment complex is switching over to Charter next month and Im counting down the days on the calendar until I can cancel my "service" from Cable America.

Believe everything you read here... There is not a worse company around. They are rude and apparently dont care about customer service at all.... not too mention the equipment is from the eighties or from before.. Seriously.. The remotes look like childrens toys. This has to be a tax write off for somebody because its managed so poorly... WOW.. Unbelievable!

These people are horrible, there costumer service is worse their internet is like dialup internet, very expensive for what it is... they do make contracts with apartment complexes to make sure they are the only one that you have choice to choose from and that how they get you .... I would use att internet all day over these... watch then very carefully

Nothing good about this company. Customer service is bad. Techs dont know anything. Had supervisor tell me cable wont work right cause I dont have original remote. Told him to put it in another tv and refused. Internet is slow and drops out. Paying $100 for 11mb on good day. Should be 22mb and still is overpriced .

Only option in my area of service. Crap service. Internet goes off every other day and if I call customer service they wouldnt do anything they just say all the area is having the same issue and they dont fix it until next morning.
