WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! STAY AWAY - GO WITH FRONTIER FiOS or ANYTHING ELSE OTHER THAN TWC / SPECTRUM!! Was told by the initial Spectrum sales agent, Katie, that for new accounts "we have Promo right now, which includes a 30-day free trial of Triple Bundle of TV, Internet, & Phone, with the option to downgrade to any combination of services or only one, such as Internet. The internet was all we ever use, but we thought we would give the other services a try since it was a "30-day Free Trial of all their services. Katie also informed us that the only charges for the first 30 days we would be responsible for would be the installation of $44.99 ($39.99 + $5.00 monthly wifi fee for separate router. William, the pleasant installer, came 7 days later and completed the install within about 15-30 mins . William also confirmed, "you have the great 30-day free Trial Promo." Also of note, the installers from TWC / Spectrum are not actual employees of TWC / Spectrum, they are contracted individuals. After 7 days from the installation, we received a bill for over $205.00 due immediately to TWC / Spectrum. Somewhat surprised, we immediately contacted TWC / Spectrum that same day, and we were told by the agent who answered, "We do not have a 30-day free trial period and that you must have been mis-informed." We read back all the notes and records of the conversation we recorded on the day we originally spoke with the new accounts salesperson, Katie, and the Spectrum agent was incredibly rude and continued to say, you were mis-informed. I replied to him and said that I wanted to speak with a supervisor, and was put on hold for over 10 mins before we spoke with Howard, and he was also rude and continued to make accusations that both me and my fiance had been "misinformed." We told Howard that this was a fraudulent sales scam and that we never wanted anything other than Internet service to begin with so please cancel our service. They then tried to encourage us to continue the internet service with Spectrum, now for install charge of $49.99 and a monthly Internet fee of $69.00. Still much more than what we were told the price would be from the salesperson, Katie. We said, "WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AN ORGANIZATION THAT MAKES FALSE SALES CLAIMS AND THEN ACCUSES THE CUSTOMER OF BEING MIS-INFORMED. We cancelled the service and was then told we still have to go stand in line at one of their stores, which has an hour-long wait. SUCH INCREDIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT TO MENTION THE FRAUDULENT PRACTICES TO GAIN CUSTOMERS. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM TWC / SPECTRUM!!

Man, I cant wait until Google Fiber gets laid in this part of the U.S. so that I can laugh as TWC suffers and drowns in its own filth. Nothing would please me more than to see this giant go bankrupt, considering their services are overpriced, awful, and the customer service (particularly to long-time customers such as myself) is downright terrible. Its disgusting that a company like this can exist given how many terrible reviews you see on it by simply Goggle-ing their name. 1-star on Yelp, and not just across one or two reviews, but a staggering 26 reviews! I bet that if more people wrote reviews, they would have the same things to say. Verizon FiOS will likely be available in our area before Google, and as long as its something that isnt TWC, count me in. Weve been customers for years and our bill hasnt done anything but come up, with no changes to our plan! There are no "long-term customer benefits" that give you an opportunity to save a few bucks here and there for being a loyal customer. There is literally no reason to stick around other than the fact that they are the only provider in the area. Theres one problem with this: as soon as people get another option, they will dump you like last weeks trash and be free of the undeserved burden imposed from such trash. Its too bad that nobody upstairs paid attention in their business classes, because their business model is garbage.

i have been on hold with them all morning long trying to get a service call for the new modem they sent. It does not work or only wants wireless that we do not want anywhere in my home. I got a real shock ween I got my service up and running again with the old modem and went to the web site and signed into my account and found that my internet service jumped to 65 bucks per month. I had asked the guy that called if there would be any change in my bill and the answer was no. Now that they lied to get it up I cant find away to contact them. That about as much as satellite service with DirecTV. I am going to call them and Verizon to switch my service from TW. This is the last time I well ever deal with them and I bet it takes a month or 2 to get them gone and out of my life for ever. I had a second thought when I signed up with them over a deal that we went through with them years ago at and apartment complex we owned at the time and one of there subs along with getting a AOL account turned off. I was thing at the time never again and here I am setting and waiting for some customer service person to answer the line. Guess I pushed the wrong number on the run you around the answering system in place with them.The madder I get the more determined I am in going to get them gone and may be to day.

I cant believe I almost forgot to write this review, TWC SUCKS!!!! I had bad service before I even got the service (you think you would try and treat you well in the beginning to lure you in) but I guess now that they have no contracts they simply dont care since they are the last word in cable in this area. So I make an installation appointment and guess what - the guy doesnt make it, claims he called, (I think they didnt dial in my NON-OC area code because I stared at my phone all day long waiting for a call and got other calls but not from TWC) I took off of work for nothing!!! I called, upset, they didnt try to sweeten the deal, or compensate to save my business (or maybe I am spoiled?....) I asked to cancel the account, and they didnt hesitate - oki, foine, watever, bai. OH, and more! A MONTH later, still havent gotten the check refund for the installation and first month of service. I just got off the phone with them (I used yelp to find the number again - lol) and found out they arent sending a check but reversed it three days ago so it should be on my card in a couple days. ******THESE GUYS ARE LAME!!!! Avoid - Avoid - Avoid!!!******* Maybe if we all just NOT use TWC a better cable company will come around, start snagging up your illegal cable boxes yall!

I GIVE THEM 0 STARS NOT ONE. I never thought that a cable company could be your worst enemy and haunt your life like TIME WARNER CABLE. Number one on the list of bad things is CUSTOMER SERVICE, people in the stores are like robots and it is impossible to communicate with the foreign people they have working the phone department. #2 in bad is their m.o.. They did the same thing with my brother which is start you off with a great deal and very slowly work your bill up to something totally unreasonable till you call and they lower it to something still too high. But of course you feel better not being bent over anymore but ... something still doesnt feel right. Main reason for bad, they came on a Friday and messed with some wires (I watched them outside), then internet stops working and they tell me it will be Monday before they can come look at it. They send a home tech guy who cant fix it even though I told them exactly where the problem was...outside, on thier panels that they messed up!!!! Happened again a month later, saw the same guy in a sombrero working on the panels. I wouldnt wish time warner on my worst enemy, my advice is to just find something else. Oh, I got a whole other story for direct TV so avoid them too. INCOMPETENCE everywhere!!
