Jekyll and Hyde - Last year, after reading many positive reviews, I decided to take my car in for some work. I had $1400 worth of repairs done. Dave seemed like a nice guy and I was pleased with the quality of the work. I thought I had found a mechanic I could use for years. Last week I had a tire blow out while driving down the highway. The tread flew off forcefully enough that it pulled the left side of the front bumper off. It also pulled a bundle of wires down from the wheel well and stripped the cover off parts of the bundle. I called a tow truck and then called Dave. I explained what happened and asked if I could have it towed to his shop to check things out and make sure nothing else was damaged. He said no problem; hed take a look at it. That was Dr. Jekyll. Later the next day I called and asked if theyd had a chance to look at my car. Daves attitude was incredibly rude. This was Mr. Hyde. He claimed he had no idea what needed to be done to the car. I explained again what happened with the blowout and the concern with damage to the bumper and wires. After a minute of back and forth with Dave, I suggested I have the car towed somewhere else if he couldnt do the work. His attitude softened somewhat. We agreed at the very least he would put the spare tire on. When I arrived to pick it up the next day, the tire had been changed and the wire bundle had been zip tied back up in the wheel well. The bumper and license plate were still hanging. I paid my bill and then had to ask him if he could secure the bumper. He zip tied it and I was on my way. I found out later from a mechanic at Discount Tire that the wiring for the left turn signal was unplugged. He took care of it for me. I cant explain the night and day difference between my two experiences. Needless to say, Im looking for a new mechanic.

DO NOT EVEN GAS UP HERE.........IF you like award winning customer service, fair pricing, limitless knowlege of engine service and repair and a crack team of oil change experts THEN DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!! BUT...............if you are looking for a place that is stocked up with idiots, thieves, bandits, liars, general morons and a team of oil technicians that are unparralleled in destroying your engines and take zero responsibility, blaming you for not having oil in your vehicle after an oil change that they , themselves, performed then and only then is THIS IS THE SHOP FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Search no more, because you cant find a tougher team of knuckle heads that care less about customer service, quality of work, pride of workmanship, honesty or women in general. You take advantage of women, like most assholes in a position of mechanical knowledge over another human being. You guys are low and unethical. After what they did to my mother I can only widly guess that what they would do to thier own mothers is unspeakable. Thank you genetlemen for proving to me that the horror stories and urban legends about mechanics still have truth after all these decades. I only wish there was a way to apply negative stars. I would say shame on you guys but I am certain this kind insult carries little weight on men of your caliber. I wish I could go down there and clunk your heads together in a Three Stooges fashion but I think it would be fruitless and bear no change in your quality or it may make it worse. They also found it reasonable to steal a iPhone from the car that had all of my kids photos on it from birth to 3 years of age.

We have worked with Dave for years and the entire crew is fantastic! No matter what you need this shop will give you complete honesty and quality craftsmanship. When we our car to 8th Ave Conoco, we got a quick, honest diagnosis, and only paid 1/10th of what the stealership was charging. Weve had the shop replace tires, do oil changes, brakes, and misc inspections all at a more than reasonable price. In fact, the prices are so fair, I tend to feel the need to give a tip for the speed and quality of service. If I could rate this business 10 stars, I would! You guys ROCK!!!

Superior service. Took my vehicle down there for a check engine light and they adresssed the issue in a timely and cost efficient matter. Theyre customer service was phenomenal!!! I wasnt able to retrieve my vehicle right away and they were ok with it staying there. Most places would charge you per day or even tow your vehicle if you didnt retrive it that day. I will recommend this to everyone. Theyre speciality is older model vehicles..

I called Dave and his Conoco one afternoon when it was getting close to the end of the work day. I had just pulled into the neighborhood and my 1999 Honda Accord was pouring steam from the engine. Dave went out of his way to take a look at it that afternoon, even though they were to close shortly, and had the parts ordered, installed and the car fixed and ready for me by lunch the next day! Also very reasonable rates. Thank you Dave!

THE GREATEST TIRE AND LUBE SHOP AROUND!! They really know what theyre talking about. Frank was able to help me with a problem on my car that five other places couldnt figure out. Dave is the back bone to the place though. Fast, Friendly, and gets the job done right the first time. You can count on 8th ave conoco for your next car troubles

Think I found my new garage. Just moved to the area and got a flat. On the advice of a family member who also had a great experience here, I took it in to Dave. The guys were friendly and fun (wry sense of humor!) and fixed it right up in a jiff for a tiny charge. Ill be glad to give them a try the next time my car needs work...

Dave fixed my cars from 2000 to 2009 when I moved out of Denver. He is the only mechanic Ive ever trusted 100%. He wont upsell you, he wont convince you that new tires are needed if they are not, and he wont burn you on the prices. Best mechanic Ive ever had.

Dave will tell you what needs to be done for your car, and will not do unnecessary work. One day, my Ford dealer refused to put in car seat anchors without an $80 at least labor charge. Dave did it in a few minutes and tried to refuse my money.
