Unfortunately, I had the horrific experience of renting a storage unit here. It was discovered by my moving company that there was a hole in the roof and the water/mold damage was extensive. After the moving company arrived at their Longmont facility, they refused to reload my belongings until the extensive mold issue had been remedied. I had to spend several thousand dollars to hire another company to attend to this issue. Even then, the damage to my furniture by water and mold was beyond repair. I lost all of my furniture and many other items: books, artwork, etc that had taken many years of my life, plus money, to collect. The general appearance of this storage area may look clean and neat but the owners obviously do not perform periodic inspections-if they had, they would have discovered the hole in the roof-not my moving company employees. Be forewarned-NEVER rent a unit at Nelson Self Storage.
