Finally our friends and family have discovered a pearl amidst a sea of swine! When my wifes vehicle wouldnt start she received a tip from one of her bosses wife who was aware of this shops honesty and ethical conduct. On a late Saturday morning we called a tow service and we only had a couple of hours to get the car to the shop since they typically close at noon on Saturdays, I spoke to someone at the shop and they said they would diagnose the problem either that morning or 1st thing Monday. Our car just made it to the shop and precisely at 8:07am Monday I got a call saying that it was the starter that was bad, not the battery or cables, etc. I gave them the go-ahead and within 1 hour I received the call that the vehicle was ready to go! Needless to say, their pricing for parts and labor were fair and just with no inflated costs and with absolutely no attempt to sell us anything, ANYTHING we did not need. This has been such a healing and fullfilling experience for not just myself, but our family as well. My wife and I have already given a heads-up to our friends and family that live in the area that this is the place to go if you want honest, ethical and quick solutions to your car problems/issues. I went to Auto Clinic today after speaking to John at 9:08 am about a pre-purchase inspection with the car I was looking to buy. He told me just give him a time of when I would be there and they would do the inspection. I got there and within 2 minutes he was getting the keys for the test drive inspection then the car was on the lift when he got back. He informed me that he had concerns about the transmission even though the car had a clean-ish carfax. Thank god for people like John because I walked away from a purchase that would have costed me thousands in repairs on top of making the car payments. The best part about the inspection was that he did not charge me so I could see he was not after my money and future repair services. His advice saved me and my family from a money pit so I would recommend any and everyone to their shop. You just dont find good honest people like these too often. Thank you once again John and Auto Clinic, when I do find the right car I will be back and you will be my first choice if I do need any other services.

Great place!!! A smart and knowledgeable engineering friend referred me to Auto Clinic 18 years ago. Ive been there many times over the years. Every time I go they get my car taken care of quickly. On a couple of occasions my car-issues were significant and took 2 days, but Auto Clinic was excellent about keeping me informed. Costs are typical of other shops, but they never try to sell me something that I do not need (quite different than other shops). They suggest ideas on how to keep my costs lower (fix this, dont fix that, etc.). I cannot say enough about Auto Clinic. I hope they stay in business for decades, that the team stays healthy, that they continue to hire good people, etc. Ive used other service shops, and had dealership-service on new cars... Auto Clinic is the best of all of my experiences. Its hard to find a shop that you trust... after 18 years... I can say I trust this place.... glad I found them.

very disappointed that I was tricked by good reviews to go to this shop. all 5 star reviews? yeah right, something is fishy about that. I was charged for a service that I did not ask for, I do not feel as though the mechanics thoroughly checked my car, so now I have to spend even more money to get another mechanic to check out my car. I was told to drop off my car but got a phone call about 20 minutes later to come pick it right back up. waste of gas I could have waited for it in that case. They supposedly checked out 3 different problems on my car within that timeframe, yeah right, I will continue on my search for an honest mechanic.

Ive gotten good work done before but the last time I went, they didnt fix it correctly. I went in and had a lot of work done. One week later my shift cable wasnt working right. The timing was too much of a coincidence. How could it have not been something they did when a week earlier they had completely disassembled the engine. They wanted $300 to fix it claiming I needed a new shift cable. So I went and bought a shift cable and took it to a family member that works on cars. Turned out that the shop hadnt fully reconnected the shifting cable. Lazy sloppy work. So disappointed.

I am a young college woman, which attracts deceit from auto repair shops. Ive always gotten taken advantage from mechanics because they asaume Im naive. I lived in Brandon for two years across the street from this place and I have never felt more confident about taking my car in for work. They are always super honest and even take off charges for minor things. I live in North Tampa now and will always continue to take my car here because its worth the honesty to drive across town. Thank you John for making a legit auto repair shop :D

I had my truck towed to Auto Clinic at 4:30 pm for a broken shifter cable the not only had it fixed by 8 am the next morning the have me a great deal on the repair. I also asked about a few service items I had been told I needed by another shop because I was going to get that term done as well they told me I didnt need the service in fact it could cause more issues since I DIDNT NEED IT . I will never take my cars to another shop Auto Clinics honesty and customer service is top notch.

Nobody compares to the Auto Clinic when it comes to knowledge, service and honesty. This shop has me astounded each and every time I bring mine or my wifes vehicle to them, regardless of the issue. John and Pat along with the rest of their crew are truly an amazing bunch of guys. You cant beat their passion for cars and their sincerity in helping you solve your car troubles in the most efficient, economic manner possible. I would never trust anyone else with my vehicles.

I first took a car here a few months ago, based on a recommendation from another Facebook user. I was so pleased with the service! Theyre able to accommodate me when needed, have a deal with a local rental car agency for cheaper rates, and dont try to cheat me. I initially went in thinking I needed a "big" maintenance done, but it turned out I didnt. They only fixed what was needed. Will continue to use them as long as I live here!

I brought my car to AUTO CLINIC for a 2nd opinion after picking it up from CLARKS AUTO REPAIR a few blocks away, Clarks told me I needed a new motor or a new car (You can read my review of them on their site). Auto Clinic fixed my car, all it needed was a water pump & timing belt. I am so grateful to them, this was just a bad time for me to come up with the money for a new car or new motor...
