My fiance and I have had a horrible experience. We originally brought her car in for a shaking issue. 6 visits and several thousands of dollars later (in smaller increments) the issue still exists. This car is only worth a few thousand dollars. If they had our best interests in mind, Id have expected they would counsel us as to whether or not its worth investing this much time and effort is required to make it safe to drive. Every time we get it back, the issue is clearly still there. A simple test drive would show that. After contacting JP, he had us leave the car over the entire weekend with no alternative transportation. We were told theyd call us and let us know what was found. Both times, it was the exact same, nothing all day Saturday, then a call late Sunday to say theyd been too busy and were just looking at it. And still, the problem persists. We decided to have another mechanic look at (at our expense) and he identified, within a few mins, that all four motor mounts are bad. This doesnt happen overnight and certainly would cause shaking. Perhaps this has been the issue all along???? Repeated calls and emails have been ignored since our last weekend drop off debacle. If youre in desperate need of tires or an oil change, and no one else is open, maybe this is a good option, but from how weve been treated I can only recommend they be avoided.

I had Hancock replace the tires on my 04 Scion Xb back in July. Now in December I have a flat tire, but when I went to put on the spare the lug nuts were on so tight that putting all my 210 lbs on the crowbar didnt even budge them. After about 10 minutes I managed to strip one of the lugs so since it was the evening I put some air in it then drove it home thumping. I worked on it at home and with a torque wrench turned all the way up I managed to loosen 3 of 4 lug nuts on the tire, but literally pulled my quad trying with all might strength to loosen the last one. I even in the process broke off a extension on the ratchet. I now just called Hancock where they explained that since it has been 5 months they could not help me. She then went on to explain that her boss said I should have come sooner if there was an issue, and I asked how I would have known until I have a reason to remove them but she just passed over that. She also said in a sarcastic way "so in 5-6 months no one has done anything to the tires?" so I guess they only expect their work to be good for 5 months. I said you realize your trying to convince me of something that didnt happen right? In the end they said they would not help me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! THEY CANT EVEN TIGHTEN LUGS PROPERLY!!!

Fair but ineffective. They were unable to balance my wheels or align my tires over the course of four visits, and only made it worse. They did refund the price of the alignment when I requested, though. The long version: (Visit 1) I took them my car and four tires I ordered from TireRack on a Saturday morning. They mounted and balanced the tires, and did the alignment. When I got the car back, it had a bad shimmy at 65-70, which it did not have before. It also pulled to the right, which it did not do before. (Visit 2) They worked on it for the day. A the end of the day, they blamed an out-of-round tire for both the shimmy and the pulling. I arranged a tire replacement with TireRack. (Visit 3) They mounted the new tire, and spent the day trying to fix the alignment again. The shimmy was reduced, but still present. It still pulled to the right. (Visit 4) They had it Saturday at 8:00 am until Sunday at 2:00 pm. They called and said theyd fixed it. When I picked it up, the only difference was that the car pulled MORE to the right. The next day, I go in and ask for a refund for the alignment (about $80 of the $120 total). They seem to understand, and refunded that amount without any issue.

The number one reason I have been coming back to Hancock is because they are actually honest. Just this week I brought my vehicle in for alignment. They said it could have been front or rear/front. Most mechanics would have just told me both to get more money. But Hancock didnt. They just did what was needed. They have even told my husband, in the past, that one of the issues we had was an easy fix and they he could do it himself to save money. They EVEN explained how! They may have lost that one sale, but we have been back so many times since. Just because we trust them and they always do impeccable work. Hancock is also very respectful of your vehicle. I never see grease or dirt on my car. They were originally a recommendation to me, from a friend. I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

These guys are professional, fast, genuine and do some great work! They were very helpful from beginning to end, on the phone and in person. They were very honest and friendly. Even though my car hand multiple issues, that I saw myself while the car was on the lift back in the shop, they were not pushy salesmen although they had a chance to make a lot of money off me! Count me in as a return customer. The facility is great. Clean and plenty of space. Has a nice seating area with TV and comfy chairs. It is right across the road from Walmart, McDonalds, Wendys, Publix and a couple of shopping centers just a stones throw away. I would highly recommend Hancock Tire & Auto. Very professional, accommodating and honest. Go check them out!

I have used Hancock Tire and Auto several times, and each time I left I was pleased. Colt and JP always are friendly, helpful, and most importantly, HONEST. I am mechanically saavy and can do all of my own work, but time is something I dont have enough of. I am forced to allow others to work on my equipment sometimes as a result. Hancock T&A have always been upfront with me. My most recent visit I knew I had troubles with the hubs on my boat trailer. I was shown the damaged parts and quoted a very fair price for the repair. My out-the-door cost was less than estimated, and the work was done correctly and quickly. My old parts were returned to me without my asking for them. HONEST AND AWESOME, you cant go wrong here.

I had a serious engine problem that needed very experienced technicians to solve. My car was repaired within two days and they did a marvelous job. They even worked an hour past normal closing time on a Sunday to ensure my car was ready. The fact they were opened on Sunday in itself is fantastic but there was never a gripe or complaint from the staff. Justin was great, he kept me informed, showed me as the progress was being made and because of his treatment, and the quality of the technical expertise, Hancock has my business for life. I drove from Ruskin to do business with them because of a recommendation and I assure you they will get lots of business because of their superior perfromance. Mike Crawford
