I became a customer here 1.5 years ago and I am still a happy customer. I have a 5X10 unit, A/C, and there has only been one small price increase in that year and a half. At one point, I had to ADD a 2nd 10x15 unit for a few months in order to sell out the contents of a large home. THINGS THAT IMPRESS ME ABOUT HANDY STORAGE: 1. It is spotless. Constantly cleaned, swept, a/c works, it smells fresh and I have NEVER seen a single bug. During the months I had the 2 units, I was there pretty often meeting buyers and I mean it when I tell you how clean and bug-free the buildings ALWAYS ARE!. 2. The front office gentlemen are truly that...gentlemen. They have helped me countless times with many things, online issues, even throwing a watchful eye my way when meeting a "stranger" for a furniture sale. it is very clear they take pride in their jobs and in the presentation of the facility and it shows. For the last year, I am back to having only the one 5X10 unit and I hadnt been here in many months until last night -- I came by to pick up a few things and I really noticed how clean and fresh...the floors were SHINING and the landscape near the entrance door to my unit was beautiful, complete w/ fresh mulch and white rock. Rent here with confidence...from your first experience at the front office, to your move-in, to ease with paying online, to knowing the 2 managers are always there to help with anything...you will be happy with your decision. Their pricing is competitive & check for online specials. But the cleanliness & friendliness set them apart from the competition for sure.

Immediately after my first review the District Manager Mr. Robinson contacted my wife to find out what happened. She explained the situation to him and he apologized for the whole thing. Not only did Mr. Robinson make my wife feel good about the situation but he also made arrangements for us to have a POD dropped off at their facility and located close to our unit. Considering that this was the only issue we had with Handy Storage my review is now updated to reflect how we feel about this business. Mr. Robinson, thank you for going above and beyond to make this experience painless and easy for my family. We appreciate your professionalism and would recommend Handy Storage to others in the future.

Pricing has always been very competitive. Ive looked at other facilities nearby and their rates are very fair. Only complaint of mine is the slope of the travel lanes in between the units. Its almost like a 10-15% pitch towards the middle. I understand tthe need to drain the water away from the units, but loading and unloading from a truck daily with a slope like that is pretty uncomfortable.

Prices will goup every 6 months, when its time to leave they wouldnt prorate per day because of the move in date changing. I literally asked for one extra day and I would pay the difference and they said no I had to pay for the whole month. The FREE truck as advertised is false and the staff is rude. You pay for what you get. Shop around.

It’s a Large, clean storage, with several buildings, fenced in a good neighborhood, with good security measures in place. The staff is very courteous and make you feel very welcome, which surprisingly, is getting rare today. The elevator is very large, makes moving easy, the hallways are wide, I love it! (that is why I pick them!)

My daughter rented a unit here while she was in the process of moving. The staff in the office, Fred and Al were very pleasant to deal with and quite helpful with recommendations on the size unit she would need. I was surprised on the cleanliness of the facility too. Great experience renting with the guys over at Handy Storage Plantation! Al & Fred explained the options and found a unit within my budget. The facilities are very clean & the guys are extraordinarily helpful. I would recommend this place to any one looking for extra storage on a month to month basis.

False advertising - they have and add free truck for new customers, but they dont let new customers use it. After I reserved a 5 x 5 they gave me the excuse that it has to be a larger unit.
