Lets face it; our electronics are both a blessing and a burden at the same time. Getting down to Lite Stream here I personally give them 2.5 to 3 stars based on my 3 months of service with them. The internet has some slowdowns every so often. On these slow days I notice it is when I am trying to connect to the west coast or NW to Chicago the download just tanks out at about 2Mbps. I have not yet noticed any outages. What I have experienced is power fluctuations throughout the summer and that was knocking my electronics offline. Specifically my router/switch. My recommendation and this may fix many peoples problems with LS are... 1.) Get a new stand alone modem from LS. 2.) Buy a good router/switch. 3.) Finally buy a cheap UPS back up battery. Those 3 things have given me decent performance. Alright I know what about the TV service. Well like the internet it could definitely be better and have noticed a few times that my shows had major pix-elation. I have also experienced one major outage and when I went to call about it it was a known issue and was fixed within 24hrs. I recommend buying your own DVR box as well and simply ask for a cable mCard from LS. Getting your box validated/authenticated well.. I have learned to live the message that pop up every so often. It never effects my recordings so I do not care too much. Finally in my closing thoughts i do not believe LS to be as bad as everyone says. Especially if you take some proactive steps to keep the fragile LS service online. Also customer service has always been friendly in-person and on the phone. Never once have I been hassled about using my own equipment. I will continue to update this review in another 3 months. Till then do not forget Like, Subscribe and leave your Review for LS in the comments section below haha.

I live in Palencia. Our HOA in their infinite wisdom decided to sign a long-term agreement that does not end until 2020 with LiteStream cable. I moved into this area at the end of July 2015. I received cable and internet from LiteStream mid September 2015. Ive had cable outages and interruptions at least every other week since I moved in. They would have to be the unluckiest cable company in the entire world. Today, for the 15th time, a fiber optic cable was cut somewhere in West Palm. They have continuing signal issues in which myself and neighbors have to call them to resend a signal. Despite the poor service, we are still obligated to pay quarterly. We are in the process of gathering a petition to take to the HOA to void this contract. During my discussions with the HOA, they are working on the issues. Neither LiteStream, nor our HOA has published a list of issues they are working on, nor the timeframe the corrections will be made. X-Finity/Comcast is less than 2 miles away. Residents should have more options available to us. We all want the LIteStream contract voided. There has to be minimum performance metrics tied to their contract. The actual product itself is less than optimal. But for now the residents would settle for the service we are paying for to work consistently. I had X-Finity for 8 years and never had one interruption or mysterious "fiber optic cable line cut". Lite Stream is the worse. Join the residents of Palencia in signing a petition. Contact your local tv station to inform them of this issue. This only allows us to rate this company with a minimum of 1. They are deserve less.

My family has been an internet customer for 8 years located in Stonehurst Plantation. Litestream fails to provide consistent internet service to their customers. Looking at this company from a business standpoint, one must see this company lacks strategic planning to keep their customers with basic internet service. Litestream has an opportunity to be a great company, if senior management would consult with technical experts. Since I became a customer of Litestream the internet service has been inconsistent. Litestream has tried to improve service by installing new cable throughout the neighborhood in 2008, but service still remains terrible. One should ask themselves, why would a successful company abandon thousands of dollars of fiber optic cable in Stonehurst Plantation, because Litestream lacked the technical knowledge to troubleshoot the cable? The customer and employees of Litestream are the only people that are being negatively impacted because senior management fail to plan and execute. Litestreams lack of service has reminded me that when I purchase my next home I will ensure the internet service provider will be inspected.

Weve had Litestream internet and cable services for a few years now. In the past year, the number of channels we receive on cable was cut in half, although the price remained the same. An we lost a number of channels my family had watched for years - Disney Jr., Nick Jr., History, IFC, etc. On top of that, our average internet streaming download speed during peak hours has dropped from 8-10 Kbps (sufficient for Netflix/Amazon Prime) to a range of 0.4-4 Kbps. Most nights we can no longer watch streaming video. And thats just when we have internet access. Internet cuts off for 8-12 hours at a time one or two days a week, and Litestream makes no effort to communicate the outages or their plans to improve services to their customers, nor will they reimburse customers for only receiving ~25 working days of internet access each month. Our neighborhood is actively trying to sever its contract with Litestream. Its rare someone would actually prefer the abysmal customer service of Comcast, but Litestream makes Comcast look good.

I understand that Litestream may not always be most reliable internet provider ever, but I realized- they are what they say they are. Internet: gives you unfiltered unthrottled internet, no micro-managed search domains or defaulted Litestream DNS servers. The cable is unencrypted low priced cable tv, no cable box, converter, or cable card required. On Comcast, they throttle my VPN, give me annoying popups on every single page saying I am not using their official equipment, because I bought my own modem and router because the provided one is insecure and uses the third wifi radio for a Comcast wifi hotspot, which is selling YOUR bandwidth. Anyway, back to the point, Litestream is PURE internet and TV, and I can trust them. I also know their not snooping and selling my internet data, WHICH id like to point out- they dont have because they are net-neutral, and let me use my VPN for extra security. Litestream defines what I love about local cable/internet companies, and I will be switching back to them shortly.

This is the WORST cable company in the world. Even worse than what they have in North Korea. I am constantly having trouble with my cable and whenever I call them they have no idea what is going on. Each and every time I call I get a different answer or excuse as to why I am having problems. I am amazed this company has not gone out of business. It gives me hope that any idiot can start a business and have some success. I have a better chance of building a rocket-ship to Mars than this company does of getting anything done. My dog could run this company better than their current management and I dont even have a dog. I have never in my life rooted for a company to go out of business but Litestream Holdings is worse than eating a fruitcake topped off with anchovies and hot sauce. If I can at least save one person from the awfulness of Litestream Holdings than my day is made.
