This company is not worth a star.Let me just start by,my friend who soon wont a bright house customer since she is shopping for another cable/internet company to service her because she explained that bright house internet exposes computers to viruses purposely.She found out when she called bright house because her computer was acting funny and a bright house tech told her that it doesnt matter the protection in your computer,Bright house will shoot up through your search engines,pop-ups and through your e-mail adds that regardless if you dont open them they contain viruses that will damage your computer.My friend was also told by this Bright house tech that anyone who wants to leech of your internet through Wi-Fi they can,and they could order services that you would be billed for and there is nothing you could do about it or Bright house.My son moved in with me after his father left the house and he applied for Bright House services in the Clermont Florida area.Because my son happens to have the same name as his father,however different social security number.This company after serving him for 4 months suddenly out of nowhere they added 500 semi dollars to my sons account.When we called this con artist company at first they wouldnt explain why this charge was added and even lied that their system doesnt give them a reason why the charges.Then we called again a different operator told us a different story and said it was for late fees.How can a bill of 123 dollars go up 400 dollars more for late fees only?Then we called a third time and after we threaten the operator that the next call would be from our lawyer,she said that the extra charges was from what my sons father owed.I told the dumb b you people cant do that it is illegal to add charges to someone else account with different social security number.And besides my sons father doesnt even live at the resident any longer (And I could prove that)therefore my son cant be held responsible.I guess we got this company so pissed off that in retaliation they exposed my sons social security number and address because of this company my sons identity was stolen.Thanks Bright House for giving me a reason to sue you!By the way,I always wondered and was curious of my sons bill. How can they charge him 123 dollars in just cable+internet?When my friend was getting charged 123 dollars same amount as my sons for the whole package phone+intenet+cable.Also here where I live (a complex in Clermont)only allows Bright house as their company to service you basically you dont have no other choice but to stick with Bright house.Which I think is a violation of human rights and it should be stopped.If not people beware what complex,apartment or house you move to so that you wont be stuck with one company like this junk Bright house.If I would have known that bright house was my only choice I would have not signed a lease in this place just for that reason.

Just moved to Florida about 2 weeks ago. Called a Brighthouse rep to get internet only hooked up. I called on a Thursday and a tech was scheduled for Sunday 10am-12pm. One of the ladies called me at 11:37am to let me know the tech is running late and wont be there till 12:30pm and 1:30pm. 2 hours later I call at 1:35pm and the phone operator tells us its going to be another hour. She asks us if we would like the tech to contact us 30 min before he arrives, at which we say yes. The tech finally arrives at 2:42pm and no phone call was made 30 min prior like we requested. Anyway, the tech says hes here to hook up phone and internet. I corrected him and said its just internet, no phone. He replies that he cant hook up only internet if the order says we are having both hooked up. So he calls customer service for us to have the service changed to only internet and no phone. Turns out he cant hook up the internet today and the next available tech to come out is Tuesday. He leaves and we call our service rep at 3:14 pm to see whats going on. He finally calls on Monday and lets us know that we wont have to pay the $40 install fee for our trouble, and that I just need to show my id to the tech. The tech shows up on time on Tuesday and asks for the first months payment and install fee. I had him call customer service to get the right info, and I just ended up showing my id. Today I get the bill in the mail and guess what is on it? The $40 fee. I called the service rep and leave a message on his phone. Ive yet to have him pick up the phone. He usually calls the next day with no idea why you called. This has been the worse service Ive seen in a while. Either that or they are just trying to get one up on the customers. I looked into getting internet with someone else, but no luck with where I live.

Bright House employees are quite often not honorable people. They are full of lip service and that is the only dependable service they have.; MY service has been lousy and after putting my account on auto pay I have been charged for someone coming to my house to collect a bill....$20.00. They take a payment and a few days later take another .... the first time this caused a problem and it cost me a $35.00. I took the account off of auto pay via the website. This month before the bill was due I went to their office explained all of this. The lady said she would take it off of auto pay. I then paid $91.28 and also requested that my internet speed be reduced. She said my future bill would be about $65.00. Three days later they debited my account for $103.28........ I have been calling each day now for 3 days trying to get the money back in my account before my electric bill gets debited out and I get another $35.00 fee.

Had a problem with there modem so we called 3 times to get a service tech out to take a look at it, when we finally got someone out there 5 days later he refused to replace the modem until we purchased one of there wireless routers at $17 and an additional $5 a month. nothing wrong with our old router because we were still getting wifi throughout the house just no internet and phone. not to mention our $125 bundle is actual $170 a month after all said and done. would gladly leave the company if there was another provider in the area.

Just got home and turned on tv and internet. had to call brighthouse for reset. Five minutes later its down again. Tech is swapping boards in the community with zero sucess and trying to contact engineer for help who is not contactable. Welcome to bright house even the techs cannot contact brighthouse for help Lol our internet speed has never been as advertised. Time to research other alternatives.

Returned some cable boxes. And asked about the commercial I saw where Spectrum does not charge for modems and was informed because I was a bright house customer I dont qualify. Very disappointed because I thought bright house was Spectrum!! Not a happy customer!!

we were having trouble receiving a tv signal; the "christmas tree" menu guided me to the solution, and when a representative came on line, she stayed on line until service was restored.
