Worst experience I have ever had with a business. Customer service was nonexistent. I dropped off my dress, only worn once, the day after my event. It had simple stains on it that should have easily been removed. The stains were not removed. On my second visit to pick up the dress the stains were still not removed and damage had been done to the train of the dress. When I noticed the damage and was getting upset, an employee sarcastically told me not to have a panic attack. The initial response from the manager was: we cant tell if you did the damage or we did, and it is not in a very noticeable spot so it should be fine. The dress is a high low style, the pull was on the inner lining of the low part of the dress, which is very noticeable. The damaged part can be clearly seen if the dress is hanging and if the dress is worn. They took it to the seamstress to try and have the pull smoothed. The damage was still noticeable. On the third cleaning they finally got the stains out. At that point the dress looked very worn because it had been handled too many times. They implied that because my dress had drink spots on it I probably didnt take care of it in the first place. I should not be judged because I am asking a business to do their job. Clothes are taken to dry cleaners to be cleaned, not to be returned to the customer in worse condition. They at no point took responsibility for their actions and put the blame on me saying I probably didnt notice the damage before I dropped it off. Their younger employees were rude and told me "we dont touch your clothes". I was ignored and treated rudely. I felt that because I was a younger customer, they felt they could try to easily put the blame on me and say I did not notice the damage. The owner told me a reimbursement for the damage that they did was unreasonable. Dirty clothes are taken to dry cleaners to be cleaned, not returned in worse condition. I did not realize I needed to take photos of the condition of my dress before dropping it off. All this could have been avoided if the dress had been cleaned properly the first time around.

I had a similar experience to the customer who wrote the below review. I dropped an expensive comforter off that was in decent condition, but it is a very delicate fabric, hence the reason I took it to a dry cleaner instead of trying to clean it myself. When I picked the comforter up and got home before I took it out the bag I noticed about a foot long rip and another rip in corner. No one had mentioned anything about the rip and it wasn’t written anywhere on my ticket. The next day I spoke with a manager who was very nice and explained due to how delicate and loose the stitching on the fabric is it tends to tear easily. However, she said I could bring it in and they would have their semester sew it up for me. When I came back to get my comforter they informed me I was being charged me for having it fixed. In our original conversation she never said I would have to pay for it, however, she rudely informed I had misunderstood and she remember the conversation clearly and that I had it all wrong and she said she remember noticing the smaller corner rip while on the phone. I know this is true because I was in my office when I called. Basically in a nut shell she made it out that I was lying or “misunderstood” and there was no way she could be wrong, I, the customer, was wrong and responsible for the payment. She was extremely rude and I honestly just could not believe the way I was being treated to the point I asked that the owner call me so I could talk with them. She then changed her mind and did not make me pay for the stitching. In short I had brought my comforter in non-damaged and received it back damaged with no notification, I feel most people would agree the cleaner should be responsible for the repair if at all possible. I was even going to continue going to use this cleaner in the future but after the blatant rudeness I will never use this cleaner and would advice anyone not to do so either.

Professional Cleaners has terrible customer service. I have used Professional Cleaners a handful of times and anytime I brought in clothes with stains on them, they managed to get them out approximately 1 out of every 3 times. I havent had this low of a hit rate with other cleaners in Athens. However, this week I was in a hurry, so I settled on bringing a handful of dresses in to be cleaned since Professional Cleaners is located closer to where I live. Given my previous experience with them, when handing my clothes over, I asked if I could point out exactly where my clothes were stained. They charge a premium and I wanted to make sure I was at least going to have the service I was paying for. Please note, I have a tendency to accidentally splash sauces on myself because I like to cook. The man helping me acted extremely impatient and had a woman behind me move ahead since I was "taking too long" to show him my dresses. His tone was so rude, I proceeded to text my friend about my already unpleasant experience. After he was done helping the other customer, he turned to me and said "dont you know it is rude to be on your cellphone while Im here helping you." He then looked through my remaining items and asked his colleague whether or not "she had seen so many stained clothing items before" in an extremely judgmental tone. The entire situation was so frustrating and demeaning I asked to have my order to be cancelled. I prefer to give my business to companies that are polite to their customers and generally Ive found customer service to be top-notch at local businesses in Athens. Professional Cleaners apologized and indicated they were "just kidding." I accepted their apology, but I will be using dry cleaners that are respectful and professional going forward.

I usually do not have to take anything to any cleaner because I do not buy "dry clean only" items; however, I had one particular item that HAD to be professionally cleaned. My husbands high school letter jacket had been openly sitting in our storage room in the basement for over two decades. We kept looking at it saying we would do something about it, but never did. All of those years did major damage to the jacket. The body had so much set in mold (in various colors) that it appeared to be deeply stained. The arms had turned into a sticky and disgusting disaster. Neither one of us wanted to touch it. I spoke directly to the owner, Tim. I explained that I wanted it restored so I could give it to my husband as a surprise gift. He promised me that they would do their very best to regain the original beauty of the jacket. When I picked it up, Tim personally told me that they worked on it three separate times to ensure the cleanliness. I was amazed at the outcome and do not believe that another cleaners would have taken that much time with one item. My husband loved his gift and was pleasantly shocked with the outcome. We will continue to use Professional Cleaners from now on!
