Weve been using Charter services, off and on, for over 13 years now. Theyve always been a little pricey, but generally weve never experienced what Id call "bad" service. This is no longer the case. After moving back to our hometown, we called Charter to set up services, and we found out that we were no longer allowed to use our own modem for internet. They forced us to use one of their modems, and over the past year and a half, our internet is constantly slow or unavailable, and our phone service has never worked properly - there is a constant clicking noise, calls get dropped, service is interrupted for hours at a time. The sick irony in that is Charter likes to call and confirm scheduled appointments, and if you dont answer, the cable guy doesnt show up. I cant answer if my phone is not working - therefore, it doesnt get fixed. Our Charter On Demand service has been out for over a month now, but they refuse to do anything about it (give us credit, or even simply fix it) because it is a "free" service. Nevermind the fact that we pay every month for it. Then, we find out that despite the fact that weve paid our bills every month for nearly two years, our service package is going up yet again, to over $150 a month for their most basic services. No HBO, no additional channels, nothing. Weve tried to call, like weve done in the past successfully, to have our bill lowered, and we were instead told that there is a pricing tier that requires that our bill go up, even though we do not receive any additional services or channels. You know how Charter has those anti-satellite commercials in which they tell you their competitors jack up their prices astronomically after your first year? Well, Charter does the exact same thing. Were currently looking for other options. Avoid Charter at all costs, if you dont wish to be treated like a cash cow.

I have been at a charter customer for a couple years now when I tell you they have the worst customer service they are quick to cut you off even when youve paid the bill I paid a bill one month and 2 days later my cable was cut off then the explanations that they gave me was because I didnt pay $42 more this is absurd it is crazy when you call them they are rude and then they always want you to give them a review of their performance but then if you notice the phone will hang up so that you cannot leave a review of that person that has called you to remind you that your Charter bill has not been paid when I say bye for Charter is the worst cable company Ive ever used I am so grateful for Direct TV its not the ladies in the charter Center there it is you that they can only help you that they are only there to give out equipment and take pic payments for Charter butt all at the same time the people that you cannot see the ones that you dont really know are the most unprofessional people that Ive ever heard I called and did not have my PIN number only that have a manager tell me that he could not help me even though he had my name and my address and my phone number because I did not have that for number 10 he would not help me to resolve the issue that our mistake that they had made and even after they realize they had made a mistake I still not did not receive a credit or an apology for the mistake

Theyre online service sux!!! I had a accident 28 years ago and now a parapalegic.I followed steps in order and set up service for 9/28/2016 they got the form but never gave it to the tech I need service now to check on my medical supplies,they cant come til Saturday!!! I know thats bull%&%t they know they could send a tech today they just too damn well I better hush

Came home from trip out of town to no cable, internet or Phone service. Charter sent Derrick Peacock out and he arrived at the exact time scheduled and had us going again within 30 minutes. Friendly, professional technician. Hope everyone has as good an experience when they have a problem.

Staff here is nice but not terribly knowledgeable on cable card /tuning adapter equipment. I didnt have half of the cables I needed and the tuning adapter didnt work

This Charter location does not exist. They have a payment drop box at 606 State St., Hood River, OR. Otherwise the closest location is in The Dalles.
