Another Tires Plus another letdown. I normally dont do negative reviews but Ive had too many unfortunate experiences with this company. Hopefully corporate will do something about these issues as I will review the other locations as well. So let me start by saying Amanda is AMAZING and she helped me out in a situation where she didnt have to, and took care of the customer! Cant thank her enough and I hope there are more people like her that care, and actually provide customer service! This was the second location Ive been to in 2 weeks about getting a tire replaced. Now for those unaware of Tires Plus, if you go in for ANYTHING, they will do an inspection of sorts and give you recommendations based on their findings. Ive had a tire replaced and observe them checking my oil and other components that I never asked about. Its great to know whats going on with your vehicle and what preventative maintenance can be done to keep it driving properly. Upon inspection, the worker James recommended I replace a tire on the rear left which is completely worn. He expressed his concerns for my safety and I assured him that I would take care of it soon but I would not be able to today. James appears upset and proceeds back to the front desk. I explain to him that Im aware of the condition and that Im financially incapable of getting it replaced. I thank him for his concern and finalize the transaction. After my explanation James says uh huh looks away, and pushes the keys across the counter to me. Avoiding eye contact, not handing the customer their items, and having a poor attitude are prime examples of how NOT to provide customer service. In addition, further along in the day I go to the trunk to grab something and its trashed. My personal belongings were sitting underneath the dirty spare tire. Ive uploaded pictures of how my trunk looked after their work, and the appropriate steps that shouldve been taken. I call and speak with Don about the issue, and he informed me the reason was because all of my belongings were in the storage compartment and they didnt want to mess with it. Well yes, because I transferred my belongings there so I could put the flat, dirty tire on top. AWAY FROM MY STUFF. We agreed that it was logical for them to have inquired. And even if they didnt want to touch my personal belongings and didnt have the common decency to ask, at least put my jack and emergency tools back. Once again customer service. The next day Im driving and my left front brake pad goes completely and is scraping the rotors. Major coincidence. I inquire why I was not informed of this upon initial inspection. The answer is, because they didnt do one. They also claim because they didnt work on that tire theyre not responsible. No Sir. If one brake pad is completely gone Im sure the other side is almost gone too. Which is the side you were working on. This is easily seen when removing the tire for replacement. Thus there should be a recommendation for a new set of brake pads. Never have I ever been to a Tires Plus where they havent recommended brake pads if they were needed. In fact I usually get a whole page of "recommendations". Neither of the two tires Plus locations advised me of anything other than the tire. Not to mention the next day when I come in to try and get the issue resolved I see James going through a whole rundown of suggested repairs to another customer. Have that documented on video as well. Why did I not get the same treatment? And now due to negligence I not only have to get the brakes replaced I have to get the rotors replaced. If I could rate lower I would. One Star only because Amanda did such a great job. Otherwise NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I was recommended to this shop but wish I was not. I went in for a front end vibration that I was pretty sure was a CV joint failure. They had me sign a work order that I was never given a copy of. I was called about 2 hours later and told I needed over $2000 in repairs, including the CV joints/ Half shafts. I was told the half-shafts would be $381 so I asked them to just replace the shafts for now. When I picked up the car I was given a bill for $485. I asked where the additional $100 came from I was told it was a $30 reduced rate for the Engine Diagnostic. I did not ask for an Engine Diagnostic and was never told I would get one. I am the Service Manager for a very large reputable lawn mower repair shop and we do charge $35 for an estimate fee "If no work is done" and divulge this to the customer both verbally and in writing on the Repair order that we give a copy to the customer when the unit is brought in. Then when we call with an estimate it is the complete estimate including tax. If for some reason the job goes over the estimate we call the customer again for approval. These guys use old school shady repair shop tactics and I will never use them again, Do Not Trust Them !

To preface this, I am a delivery driver by trade and I use my personal vehicle to deliver in. I whenever I change my oil (every 3000 miles), I also check my brake pad wear. I brought my car to this Tires Plus to have the tires rotated. The next day, I changed the oil and attempted to take the tire off on the drivers side. The lug nuts were ALL cross-threaded and impacted on. No big deal, it happens. I drove the car back to the store and told them what happened and that I wanted it fixed at their leisure. Next day, the manager calls and tells me its going to be $100+ to fix the wheel studs since they all broke off when they tried to take off the lug nuts. Long story short, they tried to scam me by saying it was because my car is old that ALL the wheel studs broke at the same time on the same wheel. Sorry, it doesnt work like that. Eventually, after logically proving to him that I didnt do this and they needed to fix it, they relented. I sure did have to fight, though. That should not have been necessary. I will still give them another chance the next time I need a rotation but Im not happy that the manager tried to make me pay for their mistakes.

Wow, I find it really odd that my experiences at this Tires Plus have been the complete opposite of all the negative reviews here. Maybe they cleaned up their act, or maybe its just that only angry people bother to leave reviews? Ive been using these guys for years. Theyve always been exceptional, straightforward, honest, and they actually *dont* try to upsell me like a bunch of other places do. Ive had them break the news of a nail in a sidewall before, but then they offered the most economical options to fit my budget. Then again, Ive had them change my oil and while doing so, notice a nail in a tire. They patched that one for free. Ive actually gone to them after having some quick-lube place try and tell me I needed $600+ of "maintenance" done, and the guy at Tires Plus just shook his head and gave me a list of what I would *actually* need over the next 10,000 miles. The only downside with them is their wait time. They are *always* super-busy, and with good reason. But Id rather just drop my car off with them and wait than deal with other places where Ive had half-a**ed work done or worse, and had to listen to sales shpiels every time.
