We received extremely slow internet (1-2 Mbps when we were promised 15 Mbps) and our phone calls would drop every 3-4 minutes. This was largely because the phones are VOIP and the internet connection was so bad; i.e. high latency, extreme packet loss. They sent several technicians out to our place of business but they would always assess that "You have a dialtone and the Internet works." We would insist they fix the lines or replace the modems, etc., but they would not. The problems would persist until eventually we had to go with another service. However, they would not cancel our contract because "We had not had enough technicians visit." We had probably 6 or so tech visits as well as 2 ocassions when we called and were told someone was coming, but they never came. Their records showed that we had only been visited twice, one of those two visits was one of the aforementioned no-shows. Eventually, they told us they would consider ending our contract, but they would have to call us back within 1-2 business days. They never called back. We repeated this process 3 times until they told us "Seek legal counsel or you have to pay us the 1100$ termination fee." I have dealt with a dozen Internet Service Providers over the years, but Mediacom is by far the worst. Nobody ISP is perfect, but in Thomasville, CNS is a Five Star, A+ champ compared to these crooks. We use them now and I would not consider going back to Mediacom even if it was free.

SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. I have had so many mediacom related issues since Ive been with them. In the past 4 weeks alone Ive called mediacom numerous times to fix my DVR service because it was "unavailable" for some reason or another however I had to continue paying for it as one mediacom associate pawned me off on another. I could continue to explain how that was a disaster that I had to invest hours of my time to resolve on the phone with mediacom associate who "needed to be trained better" in the words or supervisor Cameron I believe. HOWEVER I have recently received a mediacom bill for "unrecovered equipment $1,039.00" which is very odd considering Ive only ever had the 2 DVRs and 1 mediacom internet modem that Ive always had for about 10 months now. I called Mediacom and the lady named Andrea I first spoke to could not fathom why I would receive such a bill. In fact all she seemed to be able to do for me was leave me with $1000.00+ in Mediacom bills and "create a ticket for me" saying "the research department would look into it." Im beyond upset with this issue because Mediacom has not made one attempt to communicate the fact that there is a some sort of problem with the equipment that they gave me 10+ months ago instead I get a $1000.00+ bill in the mail that I can only assume they want to be payed for. This better be a joke! SAVE YOURSELF THE HASTLE. Get any service, but Mediacom.

Save yourself the hassle and go with CNS instead. 8 months now since I had it installed and Ive lost count of how many times Ive had to call and have a technician out, who by the way never has he necessary equipment to fix the problem. Worst company Ive ever dealt with and hope to not ever have to deal with them in the future.

Terrible internet. It took 3 hours for them to set up the phone and internet and when he left the phone and internet still didnt work. The next person I sent out said the last person didnt even try to do his job
