Worst company ever!!! I was with charter for many yrs. they kept raising my rates. I switch to DirecTV and after two months I did not like the service . I then contacted charter under a promotional . to receive free installation and also new or updated equipment. This was 3 yrs. ago. My internet works 1/2 the time. Over 12 service calls I have to unplug every other day to reboot. The biggest rip off is I have only 5 tvs... Never got the new boxes, they used my existing old boxes. I have been charged for last 3 yrs. for 8 tvs and equip. I have sent letters, spent over 100 hrs on phone. Made them start a investigation. That never happened. I provided them with the serial #s to make there job easier. Still nothing done. I have found that cable companies are the number one complaint with the Michigan Attorney Generals office as well as consumer protection agency. Today I will be filing three complaints and possibly a fourth with Hamburg Township on how I have been ripped off being charged for 8 tvs. No new equipment from three years ago. Internet service that doesnt work. As well as being charged installation fee. I estimated per their invoices I have been overcharged close to $3,000.00 in 40 months. DONT DO BUISNESS with Charter !!!

I have called twice now to cancel my internet service and I am not allowed to do so. I am cancelling because they upped my charge from $39/month to $59/month. I found a cheaper service with better service quality. The first time I gave them my name, address and SSN so they could look up my account because didnt have my account number with me (and I am the name on the account). After 20 minutes on the phone listing to the lady try to get me to stay with Charter she finally told me I could not cancel without my account number. SO I called back with my account number and another women told me I could not cancel without reading off the number on the back of my internet equipment. I was not at home so I did not have this information. Absolutely ridiculous. I cannot wait to get rid of this service.

9/10 times per week we have to restart our box because it doesnt load. 95/100 a day I switch to 4g rather than wifi because the signal is horrible. Will I call service again? Nope, the different techs say, the box is fine and the internet is great. Nope. If you are Comcast or at&t reading this please come to the Pinckney mi area. They know its this or dish, so they dont invest in good equipment or service. Oh and nice response to your other customers complaints, lets see if you notice mine.

Absolute garbage poor service and poor product. You are going to get calls to upgrade constantly. The will tell you they are investing a billion dollars into their service. Nothing changes constantly blacking out. Then they want to charge you to send someone out. No matter what you say about their service on the phone the will still push you to upgrade. Their overall rating speaks for it self.

You have to wonder how these companies carve out their monopolies in rural counties. Charter is awful to work with in every way, but somehow no one jumps in to take their market share? Why would they ever change their deplorable business practices if they have no competition?

They told me when i sighned up that after the year discount price will go up and call back and they would start it again. My bill still went up $35.00 with the discount. Dont believe their lies.

Big Drops in Internet speed after 8 PM. This is the time I use internet. Sometimes browsing is not possible. 100 MBPS to 2 MBPS.
