So disappointed with their dispatching system!! The tech called me twice, back to back at 1:07pm and I called the Cable one number at 1:11pm!!!!! A tech mis scheduled the amount of time to do a job at my house, so the first appointment was canceled. The wonderful customer service person rescheduled it, stating that they would come back before 7pm to get it taken care of, and they would call me when they were on their way. Well I guess that means you can not even go to the bathroom because if you miss that phone call they just cancel your appointment. The number is restricted so its not like you can call them right back, so I called the customer service again after 15 min of talking to the (wonderful )customer service he states that they can not send the tech back out. ???? What, back out??? He was supposed to be calling to let me know he was on his way, so obviously he wasnt ever there!! I called the only number available within minutes of the tech trying to call me! He tried getting a hold of dispatch to let the tech know there was someone at the house. I guess the 15 min spent on the phone with customer service, out of the 2 hour time slot is TOO long for them to actually come do the job they were supposed to do. After over 10 years of service with them, I think I will be looking at different options. Some people have to take time off work to be available for these appointments. It should be easier to reach the tech, or they should at least give a few minutes and try calling again. Just incase you are for instance, in the restroom!

Yes this company is terrible. Why? No real competition because people buy into the bundle BS. Heres how you do it folks. Use them for internet because their 50 meg down and now 3 up is miles and away better than Century Links piddly 5 meg. Get DirecTv or dish for TV. DirecTv is better and has locals in Twin Falls now. If you want to keep your landline number go with one of the many online voip companies that do it for as little as a $3 a month, or better yet just get a Google Voice number and an Obi110 voip box on Amazon or fleabay and setup Voip for free. Be aware that your internet will go down from time to time, and thats no different than any other ISP. If you have a Verizon wireless plan with metered internet you can use your smart phone or tablet in tethered mode as a backup. Complaining about the only cable company available is like complaining about how bright the sun is. You cant change it so adjust. Theres no reason to pay these guys for phone or TV. Oh yeah, NEVER PAY RENT ON A MODEM. If you do you are an idiot. Go buy a DOCSIS3 modem at best buy or walmart or online for about $70, and in 10 months youve already saved money on the rent. Modems will typically last 3-4 years and have 1 year warranties from the manufacturer so even if you buy one every year its still cheaper than paying rent.

Terrible service. Salespeople will lie to get you to upgrade your service. Make sure you get their name and record your call. I really miss Bresnan. Much better service. I swear though the only thing I dislike more than insurance is the cable company and this is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. To make up for everyone leaving their overpriced services for streaming content they just keep jacking the prices on data usage. I upgraded to the 50 meg plan and use no more data than I ever have before and now thats not enough. (I have never gotten above 29 meg download speed). Now they want me to upgrade to their $130 a month plan. What a joke. They cant deliver on 50 meg what on earth makes you think they will get anywhere close to 100? Would recommend slower service with more data. IMHO.

Cable One used to be nice, now they are satanic morons from hell, especially the cord destroying idiot who lives in Kimberly who gets all pissy if he has to do any work. Days Ive worked on this, they changed my social security number in their records, getting through has been a nightmare, their crap is over priced so get something else. The manager promised to call, did once, didnt resolve the problem after making things sorta better, but not compensation for their screwups. Satan must have bought cable one, and they threw our email to Satan, otherwise known as Google so you cant access your mail unless you change all your numbers and expose your identity and location to all the nuts out there. Just find a different way, Cable One has gone to hell, working a way out.

I maintain a home for my handicaped sister. We had Cable One for a couple years. The price for just basic cable was around $68. And kept increasing. One month I did not have the ability to pay (had to pay property tax) and figured I would catch up in the month ahead. NOPE! After 20 days of nonpayment They disconnect the service tryed to impose a $90 reconnect fee and $500 worth of unreturned equipment. .. I went ahead and returned all equipment and canceled service. A month later I receive a bill for $200. somehow 20 days worth of nonpayment equals a $200 collection fee!

I would give the guys that came out and fixed our Internet 5 stars, but Im only giving 3 because weve been using way more of our aloud data each month. And weve actually been doing a lot less. We have even cut out our kids tablets because weve seen that when theyre on them, we use the most. Its just wierd because our kids used to use them all the time and we never had this issue. Ive also talked to other people who say the same thing. Its pretty ridiculous. I watched two hours of Amazon the other night and used 10 Gigs! Thats about how much we can use a day.

Had the best experience with Cable Ones customer service this week! Had a bad storm roll through and our wifi was down. I called and the wait on the phone was short and the rep. on the phone was pleasant. He walked me through a few steps and it still didnt work so he said hed have a tech come out and check. He asked if Id be available tomorrow but I had to work, so he and the tech worked it out so theyd come out that night! (Mind you I called at 5:30 pm) Nick arrived that evening and had our wifi up and running in no time! So happy! Thanks!

I have been dealing with extremely poor internet speeds for months with no resolution in sight. This problem is not solely mine as others have reported the same issues. Cable Ones internet service is completely worthless during peak times, with latency reaching 400ms and download speeds peaking at less than 1 Mbps. I have contacted support dozens of times and I was informed an upgrade was currently underway....this was several months ago. Unfortunately, Cable One is the only game in town as DSL speeds only reach 1.5 Mbps in my area.

Cable one has been nothing but trouble for me since the day I started with them. Between surprise fees, internet down time and poor technical support to get issues resolved, I have never been more disappointed with an internet provider. Now they are offering a 50 mb option that is actually cheaper then the current 5 mb, however read the fine print boys and girls because you only get the first 50 gigs for free. After that they can charge you an arm and a leg for additional data.
