I will rate this experience on my time at the Carol Stream Illinois USPO installing the Hilmot Conveyors at this facility with my comrades as a Millwright from Local 1693 and the brief time spent with Alyssa the project manager from the USPO. I will exclude how Randall Gilmore the Superintendent for Western Industrial Contractors Inc. treated me with his total disregard for my greatness and union protocol. Randall was intimidated by me from the onset of the job. Only because Shawn Williams did Randall ACT cool to me from the second week until Friday June 9. I get along well with Randall but: Friday May 26 2017 - Randall asked us if we wanted to work 4 - 10s for no OT the week we had Monday off for Memorial day. I told him Shane the union steward stayed with the union business representative so it probably scared him before that. Friday June 9 2017 - I was told to stay after to unload a truck than Randall called me back at 3:31 to tell me to go home because there was no OT in the budget he sounded like he had been drinking. Monday June 12 2017 - Shane arrived late to work. After break Shane came to a 310 staging area where me and Jonah were assembling conveyor beds. Shane told Jonah to come over to the 300 area and help him layout and anchor the guardrail i assembled on Friday June 9 2017. Shane said I was to start working on the 310 conveyor and header steal. I said No the guardrail is already done and chalklines down ready to be anchored there was no need for Jonah to help him because I needed him to help layout for the 310 area. UNLESS Randall said otherwise!!! Shane told me no he did not. Tuesday June 13 2017 at the cafeteria table at break Randall told me HE DID IN fact tell Shane to get Jonah to help him. So I told Randall I was the foreman on Monday June 12 and I made an intelligent decision because of the reasons I just wrote above. Randall buckled under the pressure of Gods gifts to me and said I wasnt the foreman at that time. He said he would make the apprentice the foreman before me. Randall had told me the 1st week he didnt micromanage when I asked him a question. He told me to ask the foreman. I often times ask the big boss in similar situations not to avoid the foreman but to protect them. Randalls directives and answers were ambiguous often and shat rolls down hill. June 13 2017 after I got off the phone with the union representative at 9:51am I went into the post office cafeteria to take break and eat. I was sitting at a table with Jeff and Jerry the electrisions telling them I was getting layed off when Randall decided he wanted to sit with us. I asked Randall about the Felony excuse he used as a reason for my layoff and revealed through his crosstalk that they didnt even know If I cleared the background check yet. I told him as I did before that I already cleared through Ohares screening last year and worked there over 3 months. He choked on his tongue some, befuddled once again that I intellectually out finessed him. I went on to tell him he really should be more of an honest man because I did him a good job. He went on to tell me I did him a FAIR job and thats when the conversation started to really deteriorate. He said: 1. I stood around a lot but told me it wasnt my job to find and correct mistakes from my union brothers Randall also was telling me and Shawn at break once he belonged to Mensa and his IQ is in the 130s. I not only told Randall I am a HAWG in the game, I gave him more than talk/stories, I text them my most recent IQ test results of 131.3 I have been blessed with unparalleled vision for deer and evil! This post office is the stereotypical model of all comedy movies. Temper-mental. Disgruntled. Unapologetic. Sarcastic. Rude and full of attitude. The women at the counter treat you like a criminal if you ask for a little piece of tape for a box and then make you feel like you owe them something if they give you said piece. That is, if they give it at all and dont roll their eyes and say "We sell tape! We dont hand it out!" These women could work for the DMV/SOS and theyd fit right in. They complain in front of you, either about you or about work. They roll their eyes. They immediately get defensive when the post office has done something wrong and you confront them about it. They are rude and disrespectful. The post office itself is moronic and full of imbeciles. My package trackers have clearly shown that they held the item for days, or a week, on end. When you call them up rightfully frustrated, a man thats about half decent at English decides that its your fault and that you are to blame. He will then say that the package is either "out for delivery" or "You wrote down the wrong address! Not my fault!" You have to force these idiots to relinquish their hold over your packages like a five-year-old to a toy! They will also send your packages to like-looking addresses without confirming. The laziness knows no bounds with their carriers. I have been home on numerous occasions when they came, but they never once rang my bell for me to come get the item. They simply left the slip and didnt even bother bringing the item! When I called them and told them I would be home to receive the package the next day, they come at odd times and leave another slip and run away back to the post office without ringing a SECOND time! You bring shame to the American postal service, you dogs! Id rather travel miles away to deal with another post office, than dare set foot in this cesspool and give them my business! If you live in Carol Stream, whatever Deity you honor, may they be with you if you ever have the misfortune of dealing with these cretins!

I read the reviews because they were horrible, however, I needed to call to track a package. The lady didnt sound happy when she answered after ringing for awhile. I had to explain it twice why I was calling. I was talking and I had to tell my kids to be quiet and while I did that she put me on hold!!! WhAT!? She came back she was explaining something and I was trying to tell her something and she wouldnt listen. I had to explain it again. And she put me on hold saying hold on. I was on hold for like 5 minutes and she didnt even get any of my information like tracking number or address. When she came back she asked for the tracking twice. And told me that the tracking number doesnt work. So I asked What should I do now? and all she said was that it didnt work. I started to say something and she cut me off. She cut me off like 3 three times. I ended up yelling saying that she put me on hold while i was talking and shushing my kids for no reason and then putting me on hold again with out a reason and that she was extremely unhelpful. I asked for a Manager or Supervisor and she gave me a number. And I said there has to be a manager or supervisor on duty. Get me a supervisor now. She kept repeating the number and I said Can I speak to a supervisor please?? And she hung up on me mid sentence. Great service. Top notch. Glad I dont live there to see them in person.
