06/11/16: With todays lost parcel I am so fed up that I wish I could give zero stars to this dump. I have lived in West Chicago since December 2008, and I have had nothing but problems with them. I never receive my bills and/ or outgoing payments never get to their destination, and my parcels are lost AT LEAST ONCE PER YEAR. I had a PO box about 6 years ago that I used for parcels (I purchase a lot online) and I had to close it because my parcels were consistently coming up missing. Whenever I complained the manager and the postmaster would fall back on "since you didnt insure it and it was scanned as delivered to your box theres nothing we can do." This is the same issue with my mailbox at my apartment. The most recent occasion of having a lost parcel was today, when I called the office and rude manager Larry told me very clearly that I am out the cost of my purchase and my product because the parcel shows "scanned" at my building. When I explained that the buildings mailboxes are all fed from one huge slot he still said it was my problem. Unreal that I have to pay for insurance (which is sometimes half the value of purchased item) because this post office is inept. I have had everything from cleaning products, textbooks for school, and makeup come up missing. I am currently looking to buy a home, and in all honesty, a reason that I am leaving West Chicago is that their post office is an absolute JOKE. I prefer to drive out of my way to the Wheaton post office to make sure my things are cared for properly.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THESE PEOPLE ZERO STARS! I dropped off a package and 13 days later the recipient told me he still had not received the package. So I made a trip to the post office. First lady was in a hurry to get out of there so she passed it off to the young girl who got on the p/a asking for a supervisor after not being able to track it. . An older lady came out and went to try and track it and passed it off to a FOURTH lady who called me into the postmasters office. She could not locate it either so she said she would pass it off to a FIFTH person (the postmaster who was not there). She took my phone number and said Alex would call me. Of course he never did so I called him. He said he was still trying to locate the package. Next day I called again at 9:15am and the phone just rings forever. So not sure if I will ever get it located but clearly it never left West Chicago because it never got a second scan. Update! Package was found and is being overnighted. Alex did call next day, so not as upset as I was!

They delivered my package to the wrong street. When tracking my package it said delivered which it was not. I went to the post office the next day and they said they would get a hold of the carrier and ask about it. Got a call later that day saying nope it was delivered the mail carrier remembered delivering it and there is nothing they could do for me. Later that night I had a knock at my door from a guy who lives a few streets over... Guess what he had? Yup thats right my package. He said the mail carrier dropped it by his side door which they rarely use so he dint know how long it was sitting there. I told him it was delivered yesterday we both had a laugh at the expense of the post office. I thanked him for being honest as it was a decently priced R/C helicopter that I would have been out my money on. I now get things UPS or FedEx when available.

I have been a customer for years and will never return here after the way I was treated! The head person "I believe not sure" told me she refused to ship my item because she said I used wrong tape! Thats her opinion I was there to ship an item like I always ship and never had a problem before in all the years Ive came and was very rude... no customer service whatsoever! Very rude its quite sad . They flat out refused to ship my item!! I was kind did nothing wrong and she singled me out maybe she had a bad day who knows but this is uncalled for and unprofessional

From the hundreds of deliveries for online orders Ive had at my home in West Chicago Ive only twice had to go to the Post Office to pick them up. Those were due to insufficient postage by the originating senders in other states. I always keep up with the tracking numbers, if its not offered by the seller I will purchase elsewhere. Each and every one of the delivery workers and the post office employees have always been friendly and respectful and have went out of their way to help.

1. The carrier shoves the mail in the box damaging my mail even products that come in a box are beat up. 2. Post office claimed they mailed a package to me, but I never received it. They left me a pink slip and it needed to be sign...well their full of BS 3. When I spoke to the supervisor(Brian) he said he couldnt do anything for me. He was rude and unprofessional. I hate dealing with this post office. Id rather go out of my way to another post office.

Thank you to everyone who reviewed this place. I trust the majority vs the few 5 stars (most likely employees or family/friends of employees). Im traveling through town and was going to drop off a package but I think Ill move on down the road. Sad thing is if we avoid the place they dont lose anything. They still suck up those government checks if mail is there or not.

Horrible service ! The postmaster has been very very rude to me refusing to ship my item .... I went somewhere else and shipped fine then today a worker wouldnt mark fragile on my box saying they work fast and dont see the mark..... most my stuff is ruined ....

They lost my boyfriends engagement ring. It was a vintage from Victorian London. It literally made it all the way across the ocean to get lost by THESE GUYS. Even if they end up reimbursing me, its not like I can just go buy another one. Heartbroken.

Paid for 2 day shipping on a time sensitive item, get told it wont be here for another week. Thats money and time wasted because the carrier couldnt find the apartment adress he delivers to on a daily basis. Complete bull

I dont know whats going on, but since our regular carrier is no longer on the route, we may or may not get our mail. Calling the PO just gets you a busy signal.

Certainly dont deliver on time. Tracking had them out to deliver today but it seems that they chose not to deliver it. Give me UPS or FedEx, any day
