1.0 star rating 8/1/2016 I should have done my homework first and read reviews about Public Storage. I found out the hard way that Public Storage uses false advertising and they are purely sales people. First they gave me one price over the phone which included the first month at $1 and the thereafter $132. When my husband went in to sign the paperwork they sold him a completely different unit that did not have the $1 first month deal and a bigger unit for $152. We were never told that our lease officially started the day he signed the paperwork (which was 2 weeks before I told them I would move my stuff in) so we basically paid for 2 weeks unused. I was told I MUST get in to sign the paperwork by a particular date and leave what I thought was a "deposit" to hold the unit. I was never told the lease would start that date. The most ridiculous part of this is that when I spoke with the manager of this facility she really could care less about the misunderstanding and refused to start the lease on the official move in day. Robyn was amazing and wonderful as our sales person. But after we signed the contract she was just done with us and could give a crap. I want to add one more complaint to my story....When we arrived with my movers we were unable to access the elevators for approximately 15 minutes because the staff person could not work the elevator. So basically 3 moving men plus 3 family members all stood around wasting time (and money). Robyn didnt care about that part of our ordeal either. I will follow up with corporate over this issue as I am furious!!!!!

I was very pleased with this "Public Storage" facility. The units are indoors, climate-controlled, and the entire place is clean, well-lit, and secure. There are security cameras in a number of places, and I always felt safe when I stopped by to add to or pick up stuff from my storage unit, or if I came to work for hours processing things in my unit -- even if no one else was around. The manager on site, Kim, does a great job in carrying out her duties; she is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating. This place performed a very important service for me -- providing temporary storage when I really needed it, and in a safe, convenient location. The monthly price stays constant in the course of the first year, but then the monthly price does increase to a new set price for the second year, and so on, each year you are there. Evidently the company doesnt want any one particular renter to hunker down for years. Do have an endgame in mind when you begin renting, whether here or at any type of storage facility; this is just the way the business runs.... All in all, a great place, and I highly recommend this location!

So, I am not one to write reviews usually - however I had a really good experience with this storage facility. I havent rented a space yet because I am not sure when I am moving, but the woman who answered all of my questions was really nice (I think her name was Robin). She was very patient with me on the phone and walked me through the rental process as well as the offer to walk me through the facility to show me the unit sizes (is that normal?), I have never rented a storage unit before and really have no idea what I am doing - but she was really helpful and even told me they sell boxes to put my things in if needed. THAT is so good to know, cuz I had no idea how I was going to box all my things up. Anyway, I did not give a 5 star rating because I havent rented the space yet, but I know I will do so once I have a move date.

I needed help figuring out how to empty my storage locker of large furniture pieces and Robyn was so incredibly helpful during this stressful experience. She allowed me to temporarily use a nearby empty locker so the movers could place items in it while they removed pieces from my 10x30 locker. Robyn gave us bottles of water and checked on use throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. I truly appreciated her kindness and cooperation. She went above and beyond her scope of responsibility which speaks volumes about her as the Property Manager of this facility. I HIGHLY recommend using this location as your lifes possessions will be in great hands!!! There is nothing to think about!!!!! :)

Loved this location and Robyn was so awesome to show me around. She answered all my questions and took the time to find out exactly what was going to be best for my situation. I cant say enough good things about her. From what I understand she is a floating manager and isnt always at this location but I was lucky to catch her on that day. I was able to look at the spaces I was interested in and got pricing details to take home to my significant other. Thank you so much Robyn!!!

I have had a storage unit here for about five months and have been notified that they are increasing my rate by $170.00 a year. I have rented storage from other companies for years and never seen a price increase. I wouldnt even mention it but I did some research and this is pretty common with this company. In this case they may get a month or two of their new rate but I will be moving to Cube Smart ASAP.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this location. I had been renting here and had an issue with my locker. When called to discuss it Robyn was very callous and could care less about it. I found her attitude to be very flippant. I will not be renting there any longer. It seems as if they only care about getting the sales and getting you in and once they do they dont care anymore.

This storage facility is kept very clean. I really like that it is climate controlled. We have come to this storage facility several times in the past couple months to clear out little by little our storage. Every time we have been at the storage facility Robyn has been very courteous and helpful. Robyn always ask if theres anything we need, very professional and attentive.

I was in the other day and rented a storage unit, this place is very clean and very nice. I was satisfied with how much the lady that helped her name Thu and today I went in had a hard time with my code and the nice lady Robyn was very helpful and showed me how to use my code. I like that carts are available to help you bring stuff to your unit. Thank you public storage

This facility is one of the best storages around. It is very clean, location is convenient to Deerfield residents. Manager (Robyn) provided outstanding customer service. I was stressed out about my move and was hesitant to put my things in storage. Aiden made all the difference. He walked me thru every step and made sure I stayed in my budget but still got me the space size I desperately needed. Thank you Aiden and public storage for making my move so much more peaceful.
