Our installer was amazing, he did an outstanding job. The customer service reps I speak with are always extremely polite. I dont think thats where the problem is. MetroNet hired a cut-rate company to come in and dig their lines. They hit every gas, electrical, and water line in our neighborhood, destroyed at least one guys driveway, and wrecked a lot of yards, including mine. I complained, and they immediately sent out the owner of the contracted company and a MetroNet spokesman who assured me that everything would change, that they would cover up the up to 8 deep holes where children were playing, etc. None of this ever happened. When the service tech came out to do my install, he was straddled with absolute garbage, poorly rated, inappropriate Chinese hardware. We replaced a lot of what he brought, like the 10Mb switch he installed between my two gaming systems with gigabit cards, with NETGEAR hardware AT&T had supplied 7 years earlier. That did not seem to help. If youre playing a game on your phone, you cant even download an image on another computer in the house- the wireless router they supplied cant handle it. If there are files being transferred, a game being updated, etc., you cant even surf the web, it just says Connection Timed Out. Weve had someone out two or three times to look at it, but at this point weve given up and were only still with them because were moving in 4 months and dont want the hassle of changing again. I have no intention of using them again if they come to my new neighborhood.

We are highly disappointment. We heard great things with Metronet. We even waited almost 3 weeks for installation rather than choosing a competitor. The initial install took 4 hours (Friday evening until 7 pm) which caused us to miss a party and introduction to my husbands military unit. Then just 3 days later we lost internet service and scheduled a repair for Saturday 8-12. I called multiple times throughout the day and the time kept getting bumped. Then at 5 pm I called and was told a tech came at 4:30 and no one was home. Clearly he was mistaken because I was impatiently waiting for my service to be restored since I work from home in the evening and desperately need internet service. No pre-arrival call was made nor was a "missed you" note left at my home. What really upsets me is after 5 phone calls and 88 minutes on he call with technical staff and 3 requests to speak to a supervisor/manager I was never able to. This is terrible management practices. Apparently "Austin" in Evansville is much too busy to return a phone call from a customer who spent 12 hours of her day waiting on technicians to arrive who never did. Thanks for terrible technical and customer service!

Had metronet probably a few years now and so far only had about 2 outages from weather. Support has been good and our tech was good and asked where we wanted the line in and made the proper outlet. No problems. Speed has been good as you would expect from fiber. Any slowness is due to an older router. The ground line installation was lacking so you might want to keep an eye on it while they are doing it to know the path that is being taken. Have your ground marked with 811 of course. When they installed, it went over an obvious tree root. This left it so we cant mow and exposed in that area. I had mentioned it but not pursued it more. Took a little push on filling in the dug up lines at first as well. This was done by a different provider than inside line install. Overall, I would recommend them over anyone else. You will always get problems with isps and tech in general. Sounds like the line install might be subcontractors. Speed is still quick though. Dont have tv or phone to comment on those. Fiber optic is hard to pass up. 4/5 for line install. Cant take off for storm outages which has disbalanced this whole review system as its usually fixed in a timely manner.

There is no denying the internet speed is great. The hardware that was installed is all top of the line buy my problem is with the customer service. My order was miss entered and explained wrong to me on the phone and I had to call and resolve it when the installer was here. This caused the first problem. This was the first time my monthly price had changed. It went up from what was initially quoted prior to the install. It wasnt a significant amount so I continued on with the install. My first months bill was right on to what they quoted me. My second months bill went up again. I called and they said there was a discounted price for my first month and this will be my new monthly price. I paid it and continued on with the service. My third months bill arrived and it was raised yet again. I called and they said I had a 3 month promotional DVR discount and there was nothing they could do about it. Needless to say I have found service with someone else. I prefer a little more consistency with my billing.

If I could give this awful company no stars, I would. I had service through them a few years ago. I was calling to set up services again. I spoke with Phyllis and told her I had a balance of less than $10. I wanted to pay balance and reconnect services with them. I paid the balance, handed over my social security # and was told that I would be contacted for setup when my credit checked out. Never got a call. Called about a week later and spoke with a woman who stated Phyllis would call me back in 10 minutes. I never got a call back. Called corporate 2 weeks later and told them. They said they could setup service for me but I had to pay a remaining balance of $306+. I have proof that I paid the small balance I had and now they say I owe more money!!! Dont trust them!!!

My husband and I have had Metronet for about 6 months now, we got it when we bought our first house. It was a much better choice than Comcast, who wasnt even able to keep the installation date for continuing our service from our old condo. Their in-store rep was friendly, warm, and knew her product inside and out. The tv selection we went for is their lowest tier, but we have never had any issue getting the channels to come in. One thing I love is our internet speed, we pay for the 50Mb speed, but nearly always get 99Mb downstream with no latency issues. The only thing I would have liked to change was the amount of time it took to get our original install, approximately a month from the day we signed up to the install date. Great Choice for your tv and internet.

Ive been with Metronet for almost 2 years and only had 1 late payment in which I was charged $30 I payed this without issue as I was at fault. But this month I lost a family member in which I had to help with arrangements, an unexpected cost and due to the emotional distress I inadvertently forgot about my bill I needed one extra day that way I wasnt putting myself in the negative. Well they refused to work with and was passed off like a lump of garbage this company has no remorse nor do they really care about there customers. I am terminating my services with Metronets cold heart and lack of respect for their customers and moving on to Xfinity.
