Nightmare... ordered it with money back guarantee for first 30 days. No. Wont do it. Tried to cancel after 14 days. Called to cancel tv. They never put the cancelation thru. Called back to cancel internet. Waited 20 min to talk to someone. They said I had to give 7 day notice to cancel. They ask if I still wanted the tv. I said Ihad cancelled. No it wasnt. It is still on. When they installed they didnt do it well. Instead of running a long walls in finished basement, ran across ceiling. Ran thru door downstairs. Couldnt shut door. Drilled thru heat duct to run into bedroom. Internet mat be faster. But I need to reset modem each day or no wifi. I went back to slow but faithful intetnet. Never again. Lived north of Pittsburgh before had SMALL company, much better service. When asked about wireless boxs for tvs instead of all the wires, was actually laughed at. They never heard of such a thing. They said doesnt exist. I had it.

Mediacom is an absolute nightmare. If Amazon is the highest in customer service its mirror opposite is Mediacom. Given the two options in the area: Mediacom and CenturyLink I had to choose the lesser of two evils...did somebody say Monopoly? I honestly wish there was an honest internet company in the area that actually does what they say they are going to do. Theyd have my business in a second! My wife and I have had Mediacom for about two years now and are sorely disappointed. Its truly so frustrating to have to call in and wait two weeks before someone can help. And did I mentioned that if you happen to miss their phone call, they dont show? The internet in our house is ALWAYS spoty and cuts in and out all the time. If anyone knows of a better company out there, please let me know! I hate this company.

Not complaining about Mediacom but the new store is a joke. No signage. You walk Into a building with tarps up and a desk. I had my daughter with me and the construction worked fired off a nail gun. It hurt my ears so I can imagine how my daughter felt. I told the employee it was to loud for a child and she just said yes. The guy continued to fire off the nail gun . I asked him to stop for a few minutes and he refused. Just a update the store manager Nick called and said it was my fault because the door said construction excuse our mess. He said its unreasonable for me to ask them to stop firing the nail gun for 3 mins because it would put construction behind

ongoing intermittent outages for years. complained to company and they offer a one day credit because there wasnt a record of the outages. we stopped calling about them when they were happening every day. talked to 3 techs and got 3 different stories, one of which made me walk away feeling like it was my fault. totally ridiculous to be paying this much for service that can only be used maybe 70% of the time. terrible services, terrible prices, terrible customer service, terrible technicians that dont even work directly for mediacom (many are contracted out to other companies so mediacom doesnt have to pay employment taxes on them)

A Mediacom salesperson rang our doorbell, our 12 year old daughter answered the door. I was in the next room. He asked if she made decisions regarding our internet service. She replied no, my parents do. He continued to ask her increasingly personal questions. I told her not to answer his questions and shut the door. I assumed the salesperson was new/untrained so I called Mediacom to express my concern. They were uninterested in my concerns. A completely inappropriate interaction from start to finish. We will never use their service.

Undeniably the worst company I have ever dealt with. After receiving continually poor internet service for years with numerous service calls and countless calls to reset modems, Ive had enough and am switching providers. Technicians often were not available for weeks at a time, leaving us without internet for upwards of a month several times. And never over the course of this was any outstanding effort made to rectify this frankly baffling level of service. I would never recommend Mediacom to anyway, even my worst enemy.

Mediacom is worst internet provider in the quad cities. In quad cities, Mediacom is the only cable provider and they will not concentrate on customer needs. I feel even 1-star rating more for their services. If we call the customer care then they will do the same steps what IVR done before,useless support and they schedule service request after 1 week or 2 weeks. If you ever get an issue then assume that you will not have services until 2 weeks. ****WORST INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER****.

If you use this company for Internet good luck. I rarely have decent device and I pay for the second to largest package. They charge an outrageous price and if you have problems their customer service could care less and then tell you if the come to your house to check the problem they may charge you. I am not from this area and we are a military family so Im not familiar with the other options. I just guessing the Midwest has crappy internet service.

Terrible company. I have been with them for almost 2 years and it has been an awful experience. They are supposed to have the best internet in the area but thats a joke. Its problem after problem every month. You dont get what you pay for. The customer service is garbage. They are not helpful and most of the time give out the wrong information. They say they will call you back and they never do. I do not recommend them.

If I could do minus stars I would!!! I havent had internet for almost 2 weeks. Someone finally came today to fix the box in my yard and after he left I now dont have internet or phone!! I called twice and got disconnected after being on hold forever and now they say they cant get anyone to my house for another full week! I cant believe a business can work this way! Im calling the BBB!!!

I have been waiting on mediacom for 18 months now. The last response I received is that I had to wait till 2017 because they need to look at their budget. We need 400 feet of cable ran down our lane. We live in the town of Durant Ia. Im so frustrated with them. Im done calling. My next step is the better business Bureau of Iowa, not sure though where Mediacom HQ is located.

You pay $65 a month for up to 50mbps and get maybe 5. I could tether my phone and get faster speeds than that. Dont waste youre money. If mediacom was the only internet provider in this town I rather not pay for Internet at all because thats basically what its been like since I started paying for their services.

We have been with these jokers for almost 2 years and have had someone out here almost monthly because the service is out. Their only trouble shooting is to unplug it and if that doesnt work we have to go without cable for a week while waiting for a service call. So ridiculous.

Terrible overall experience with this company. Regular outages in service during which they tried to make it sound like it was a problem with my equipment and not theirs. They also threatened to send my bill to a collection agency after they mailed it to the wrong address.
