Ordered 200mbps internet service. I was told they had a package deal with free basic cable and a phone line included for the price of just the internet. I agreed to that. I was told the equipment would arrive on Monday for my Tuesday morning appointment. The equipment arrived Tuesday evening and it wasnt even all there. I rescheduled for Wednesday. No one showed up. Come to find out Mediacom doesnt run routes to my area on Wednesdays. So the appointment was moved to two weeks from now, which I was never told. I took two days off work for no reason. Finally I cancelled that order. Unfortunately Mediacom is the only "high-speed" provider in my area. I ordered again and dropped down to 100mbps service and was told the package deal I previously ordered doesnt exist they have one with basic channels and a phone that Id still pay $9.99 a month for. I finally just agreed to 100mbps internet service. A technician was able to come yesterday evening and set that up. Im only getting 47mbps. I had extremely poor customer service and if Mediacom wasnt the only provider in my area, I would not be using them and would not recommend them to anyone else.

I wish I would have looked into the service more before I decided on Mediacom. HORRIBLE, BAD, BAD! Installer did a terrible job and didnt hook up correctly, which provided BAD signal and POOR service. I called many times and eventual got appointment for technician, which was a week after I called. I told them after 4:30 and of course they scheduled 3-5, so again, I had to take off work early. I called after the technician was here to get a bill adjustment and was about 25% off the bill, which leaves me 5 days in the month my service will work properly. In addition, OnDemand service has very minimal choices and online options is horrible as they have commercials/interactive advertising. What a joke!

I notice that for your Marshalltown developed advertising you increase the sound levels by about 2X. I can forgive you for the low-budget advertisements, but increasing the sound during commercials went out in the fifties after the public outcry got too loud. Please note that none of the professionally developed commercials do that. We simply mute the set and do something else during your commercials.

Could not be any more disappointed and frustrated with this company, constantly over charging and when I ask what the extra charges are I get different stories from each person I talk to, I have waited 3 months to have some one come out to check my,internet I pay for 50 mbs and I currently get 10 and I cant get anyone out to fix it. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY

Will charge you more for less data, dont upgrade speed and then downgrade, because they will still charge you too much. They will throttle your speed to 1 mg when they know you are cancelling your service. DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY!
