Our company pays for BUSINESS class internet. The service dropped during an extremely important conference call. I called customer support and spent an excessive amount of time trying to satisfy the automated assistant with information. The automated assistant hung up on me 3 times. On the fourth attempt I finally made it through, only to hear a recording that Mediacom was experiencing higher call volume than normal, followed by hanging up on me again. There was no physical person to take my call and provide me with an estimate as to how long our company would be down & unable to work. I pay for business internet because they advertise that there is a faster response time for customer support and repair. Mediacom is the WORST ISP company Ive ever had to deal with. Were lucky if the internet works as promised 50% of the time. Id give them 0 stars if it were possible! Its truly disgusting that they can continue to take our money and not be held accountable to deliver the service and customer support that they promise. Pull it together Mediacom, read the reviews and take a hint that your clearly doing something wrong by using your customers to make a quick buck. This is a company with no morals and will do anything to steal your money by making false promises and not delivering the service & support they guarantee.

Fast service at a competitive price (for the area). Customer service is decently good, despite what the others would have you believe. Data caps are pretty high; mine is 2TB. Outages happened twice in the six months (EDIT: now eight, and no extra outages) Ive had this provider, both of which were resolved within 24 hours. Have I had my frustrations occasionally? Yes, but it always worked out in the end. Just talk with customer service. They cant fix you broken internet if they dont know its broken. Overall, Mediacom is a decent provider and Id recommend them.

This service is a joke... Charges way to much. Lots of outages. Rips you off on channels for instance when I signed up I got a certain channel and then they tried to take it away did so without notice and then gave it back. I had the tech support come out and blame it on his boss at mediacom .... Cuz they want to change there packages and then say u cant have what u originally signed up for and did so after 6 months of me having my service.. Bad service all together! DO NOT CHOOSE MEDIACOM!

Many of the people that live in the surrounding ares are FORCED to buy service from these people. If you pay for service from them, prepare to have your money taken from you and given nothing in return. The fact that this is still legal this day in age is ridiculous! I suffer from 1/35th of the speed I pay for and there are frequent outages and price gouging.

I havent even gotten them yet and I can already tell this is going to be a hell storm. I just moved from New Hampshire and had 120 mbps, so the fact that these guys are the "best" in the area, at only 100 mbps, pisses me off. This literally has the potential to be the sole reason for me to move further into the city, even if it costs more.

Mediacom service is a joke beyond jokes. They make it so a customer cant decide to install anything themselves just so they can rack up a $ installation fees, and extras. Appointments are almost a month out when you try to set something up. No way would I recommend this service to anyone else who has other acceptable choices.

Just called today and I can already tell its going to be terrible and they havent even installed it yet! Theyre charging me $136.34 for the first month and to install it. Just to have it installed they charge you $66.35 I wanted Century link, but got this instead since its the only one in my area...

No issues so far. Ill keep this updated as it goes. Starting at 5 Stars. The install guy was very friendly. Im signed up for the 150mbps internet. Its amazingly fast! Im actually getting 160mbps according to speedtest. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

There service is appalling, the customer support is less than knowledgeable on the service, they are completely unfriendly. The internet speeds flucuate wildly, the data caps are ridiculous and when there is an issue they leave the customer completely in the dark.
