I wish I could give a negative review here. First off, I NEVER leave reviews. However, this company sucks so much that I NEED to do what I can to let anyone who has options know, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION! Unfortunately for me in St. Michael, we do not have any other option. I just bought a house in April. Charter was already installed in this house for cable/phone/internet. I called to have Charter reconnected for internet only as I have and love directv and dont need a land line. The installer shows up for what should be a simple install. Again, already hooked up, no need to do any hard wiring at all. Well this clown manages to pull a cable through the foundation and informs me that due to the location of the cable my only othre option would be to drill a hole in my foundation THE SIZE OF A FIST!!! Again, just bought this 5 year old home and as you can guess, this was not an option. So I laugh him out of there and call Charter back and ask them to send out a competent installer. Four installers and 5 weeks later, they tell me they come up with a plan to run the cable around my house into the garage. Fine, whatever, at least they would not need to drill holes into foundation. So, they bury the damn cable. Couple weeks go by and I start up my irrigation system. Wouldnt you know it, the a$$holes cut through my irrigation line. Its now been 4 weeks and I am still getting the runaround from this pathetic joke of a company. Hey Charter...you can shove your "damage assessment forms" where the sun dont shine. So again LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR CABLE/INTERNET/PHONE!!! Im tempted just to drive to Caribou every time I need to use the internet (btw, Charters connection is also hugely unreliable and the speed is nowhere near as advertised). How this company is still in business is a mystery. Their customer "service" is a joke. They would actually be better off outsourcing to a pack of monkeys.

Do yourself a favor. Get Dish Network and use a larger antenna. Cable TV companies suck. Charter may be slightly better or worse than any others, but the bottom line is they dont have to "earn" your business. The City does a deal with them and they get the franchise. They offer nearly nothing for customer service, save a few individuals within the organization who care. A scenario... I had a DVR with a DVD left in it when they came to recover their equipment. The DVD was not easily obtained - it was a training DVD. I called the company on their 888 number because they dont publish a local number. They shuffled me around arguing with me about the non-fact that DVRs dont have DVD players in them so you couldnt possibly have left a DVD in it. Finally after verifying that the model I rented did, they took my number and said someone would be getting hold of me. Two weeks later I still havent heard from them. I call back and they give me the runaround again, finally telling me that I would need to contact the local office in person in order to find out if they still have it. Direct TV is also horrendous (must have been started by a cable company) and sucks horribly when it comes to customer service. I once called and asked why the saved channels kept disappearing on the box, and they claimed they "dont have any control over the programming". Jesus... maybe Jesus does it! Dish Network on the other hand at least has a clue, offers reasonable rates and has the best box and interface of any of them.

The customer service is the worst I have ever had to deal with EVER. They make changes to your service with out informing you first and just stop the service. Then tell you they dont offer it anymore, BUT you can get the services back and it will cost you a lot more. I have been lied to, mis informed, and given the run around by their customer service reps and when I called them out on it and ask to talk to their supervisor I get disconnected before they tranfer me. I have had so many issues I was forced to contact the Minnesota Attorney General before they would do anything. I am still having to call them frequently about something. They do not care if they completely interupt your service and dont care if you suffer any losses because of them. If you use this service for personal or business I would tell you to look elsewhere.

cable went out of service at 12/16/15 am called for tech support that turned out to a waste of a hour and a half of turning my tv on and off. had to schedule for a technician to come out to the house and was told the only appointment available was for Sunday the 20th 5 flipping days later i live 6 miles away from there main facility in Buffalo Minnesota what a joke.this is the third time this has happened to my service in two years i might as well go back to satellite tv Charter dependability sucks and so does the customer service. I pay $209.99 a month for service bundle to the house keeping it local think they would at least treat the us a little better.in the the end there all the same. BIG JERKS!!!!!!

Charter is horrible. You better watch your bill because they over charge you. They tell you a service will be so much, but then your bill is way more. The quality is poor and the cost is so over priced for the quality. They cut more and more channels from our service pack and want to charge you more to get them back. We have quality issues and they told us the issues were caused by bad wiring, so we had our wiring redone and guess what...yep, we still have problems. Then they said it was due to an older TV in one of the bedrooms. So we replaced that. Yep, you guessed it...still an issue. I cant stand Charter and we are stuck with them because that is all we have out here.

Ive had charter service for many years at this point. The very few times that Ive had service outages, they were resolved within a few hours of them happening. I see a lot of negative feedback on here about slow or intermittent Internet services. And based on what Ive seen firsthand, Im inclined to believe these people simply had/have bad routers. Plugged directly into my Charter modem, Ive never seen the speed drop below the advertised rate for any noteworthy amount of time. Fastest Internet in my area, much more reliable than dish providers for TV service. And while i dont use it that often, the phone service seems to work well (i got it for the bundle discount).

Absolutely horrible customer service. Internet goes out constantly and robo-voice phone help sucks. Takes twenty minutes of unplugging-plugging back in before you get a human, then you get to listen to someone in India read a script telling you to do it all over again. Service techs have bankers hours so you have to take a day off of work to be there for their 3 hour window of when they MIGHT show up. When they get here they do nothing and leave. At least after a year they have not been able to fix the intermittent outage issue.
