Horrible service. Ive had them for over a year. The only thing that is reliable about my internet is that it is sure to go out multiple times a day. Ive had numerous service techs out and they all think the issue is my router but it isnt. My father is an IT professional and has run his own diagnostics on the router and line and the problem is that there isnt enough signal/strength coming into the area that I live in. After having spoken to many people the true issue is that ABB hasnt upgraded their wires to keep up with the growing demands of the area. ABB is the only provider in my area and my only option is to pay their asinine prices or not have the intermittent internet that i currently have. They need to upgrade their equipment and provide the service that I am being charged a large amount of money for. I feel like im being taken advantage of because Im being charged for a service that the company knows good and well they wont be able to to provide.

Internet speed is always lower than advertised. Always. They add more to my bill constantly, and bury bill increase notifications in the fine print of pages and pages of paperwork. Right now Im playing almost double to what I started with. They get away with this because there is no competition. To make matters worse, while nickel and diming me to death, Atlantic Broadband is so cheap they didnt want to continue paying for the CBS Pittsburgh feed, so Cumberland gets no worthwhile NFL games despite being closer to Pittsburgh than we are to Baltimore and Washington. Many cable subscribers are only hanging around because of sports. Cut that and we are gone. Im finally cutting the cord. Thanks, Atlantic Broadband, for being so miserable that Id rather have no TV than deal with you anymore.

Gotta love it. Atlantic Broadband disconnects my cable today. I call them and the rep basically calls me a lair. I have the bank statement in front of me shows I made the check/payment cleared 2/22/16. Atlantic Broadband says I need to pay $40.00 have turned back on. Rep, Brittany said the bank kept my check. Sure they did. I am sure BBT bank will love this call tomorrow. I am really not as upset about the cable being off , but as for the rude rep. I have been a customer since 1984. Never once in my life had any utilities shut off. I think I would have said, Maam I am so sorry... please lets see what we can do to fix this for you. I see you have been a valued customer since 1984. Checking out Dish and Direct. And calling the BBB and FCC, and the Credit Bureau.

Fake Reviews? Im seriously skeptical about all these 1 star reviews. It seems to be a concerted effort to hurt the company or maybe its just a bunch of idiots who dont know what they are talking about. Regardless Atlantic Broadband is legit. I receive the advertised speed constantly in my home during sustained transfers. It does not dip or anything. Maybe these people complaining are connecting to a super weak WIFI signal or something and think its ABs fault. They have no data caps and I have never been bothered with using too much bandwidth and I use alot. I have no reason or any complaints with this company. They have served us well.

Ill be short. Horrible realized speeds on "high speed Internet" well below the advertised speeds. Tech support is useless, if you can get through to them (hold times are ridiculous). When you do their first action is well send a tech out, always, at a $40.00 service fee. No problem ever identified on the customers end. 2 years of non-stop speed issues. When I was paying for 30 mbps down I got 10 max on a good day. When I switched to 10 mbps service I might get 2 after a reboot of the modem, average is 1 - 1.5 mbps. If only there was competition in the area this place would be belly up.

I had internet and cable services installed around 2 months ago and the installer was not personable at all. Instead of drilling a hole for cable lower in the wall to hide it, he drilled the hole over a foot up the wall. Also, I havent had to use my desktop since installation and just went to use it... needless to say there was no Ethernet cable running from my computer to any router.... or anywhere at all for that matter. Not exactly sure how he expects me to use my internet services. Ridiculous!

As much as Atlantic Broadband gets a bad wrap from customers; Ive never had an issue with their Internet service (with the exception of 3 or 4 small outages over the last 6 years). I think a bunch of issues with users is the fact that they are overloading their WIFI or have malicious application uploading/downloading. The Average user things it should "just work". Atlantic Broadbands service does just work so long as you practice good digital hygiene and size your home network for your usage.

I hate this company. I pay $80+ a month for 75mbps yet for weeks on end I will get a max of 5mbps. I call in and wait for 40-90 minutes just to get a guy who promises to send a tech out a week later who does nothing anyways. On top of that their online speedtest is bullshit, it reads anywhere from 20-40mbps more than you actually get through any other speedtest. If the only other choice wasnt Verizon/Comcast I would leave Atlantic Broadband for their terrible service and unreliable internet.

The reason this company sucks so bad is they are a localized monopoly, geographically agreed upon among competitors and enabled by politicians. So they can charge as much as they want for less and lousy service. They take advantage of their employees as well as their customers. Write your congressman, it may help if he or she is not on "the take" (lobby} Another example of "trickle up" economics. Thanks again corporate America for circumventing democracy with capitalism, better yet greed!

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY! I cant stress how bad Atlantic Broadband is so much so that giving them 1 star is too high. If you so happen to ignore these reviews youre making the biggest mistake of your life. You will continue to have horrible internet time and time again woth no improvement over time like you would see in a normal internet provider. Trust me its pretty bad dont give them your money..... The internet is always slower than the stated speed I pay for. Tonight is an all time low. .16 MB/S... Seriously? I am completely sure my phone is faster. Been on hold for 15 minutes and anticipating an even longer wait ahead before I even get to speak to somebody. If there were any other option in the area I live in I would switch in an instant. For over a decade, Ive had nothing but problems with this company.

I understand they are busy, but we were on hold for 3 hours and NEVER Got a call back! The next day we called and finally someone picked up! They sent us to another line and so far its been an hour on hold! Come on it doesnt take 5 hours to call back! Also the music I have to listen to on hold needs to be changed before I end up clawing out my eyes with my fingers and chewing off my skin! Thank you.
