I usually go to the dealership for my wifes Toyota Corolla, but I thought Id give another place a try. When I arrived, the tech (Mark?) was involved in a friendly, but business-centered, conversation with another customer. He showed genuine concern for her problem, even allowing her to ramble a bit with her conversation (it was a good exercise for me in developing patience). I was checked in quickly and my car was returned to me a short time later. Kudos for parking it right in front of the door; I have to go hunting for it in the dealers parking lot. Even though I only had an oil change, the car sounded better when starting it (I suspect they sprayed the belts to eliminate the squeak). Additionally, I was given a brief, no-pressure service recommendation. As with almost any experience, there were a couple of things that could have been better. The first is a hard fix and not likely to be remedied anytime soon. The waiting room is a bit cramped, but given that I was the only one waiting it wasnt too much of a problem. I would add that I was pleased that the unblinking eye of the TV was turned off (I get tired of seeing TVs (that are on) in so many waiting rooms). The second minor complaint was that I didnt receive a reminder sticker for the next oil change. This could be that it isnt their policy to use them or perhaps my technician simply forgot to affix one to the window. Overall, I was pleased with my visit and wouldnt hesitate to recommend Auto-Lab Plymouth to others. Perhaps you arent so fussy about waiting room size.

I needed a new set of tires (Cooper, made is USA) for my Saturn & was looking at a big box store, but Autolab had a comparable price. Autolab will rotate my tires for free, so when I get my oil change, I can it the rotation done as well. Before I bought the tires, there was a noise that a friend said was tire related. If I had taken my care to the big box store that only does tires, they couldnt have helped. Then I would have had to take my car somewhere else to fix the noise. Autolab replaced the tires, and they found it wasnt the tires, but a bad wheel bearing (from a pot hole I hit months before). This was going into Labor Day weekend last year & they said I shouldnt go up north with it that bad. They got me in on the Saturday of the holiday weekend, fixed it, did the alignment & I was good to go. I didnt have to cancel my trip! They have shuttle service or if you wait, and theres a Biggby Coffee shop almost next door. Ive found the staff to be courteous and helpful.

Ive been a long time customer of Auto-Lab. Between my husband, daughter, friends, and myself we brought 6 cars in to have serviced there. Bret and Marc are very honest, trustworthy, highly skilled, friendly business men, and have the utmost professionalism and integrity. I have a successful business relationship with them, and I wouldnt go any where else. They take the time to explain things about your car for the work being done in a way that Ill understand. I can even see the parts that are removed and replaced with new ones. I really like how they explain the options of service that I, as the customer have the final say, and there is no pressure involved. I am always telling my friends about Bret and Marc at Auto-Lab and how I highly recommend them. Thank you for your excellent, outstanding service and business.

I took my wifes Acura into Auto-Lab because she was experiencing some kind of electrical drain. The initial trip in, they could not narrow down where the electrical drainage was occurring. I took the car back a second time and this time the electrical drainage was located, parts ordered and repairs made. What really disappointed me was how they showed very little care for the interior of the car. They left greasy smudges on the leather seats, door panels, and dash board. I really like the service I receive there; but, my wife maintains her car in pristine condition and was so angry with how the car was returned to her she vowed never to go back there, would rather pay higher price at the Acura dealership and have her car cared for. I recently brought my VW Passat to Auto-Lab Plymouth and was immensely happy with their service. I have taken my car to other shops (outside the dealer) where I was assured that they would be able to properly diagnose my Volkswagen... only to be referred to the dealer. This was not the case with Auto Lab. They have all of the diagnostic equipment and knowledge necessary to diagnose and fix my VW in a timely manner. Also, when I had a question about my repair, they explained how my part had failed and how/why it was replaced. I am happy to say that I have a reliable shop that I can feel confident taking my car to for repairs and feel good about sending my friends and family there, too. lobby is clean as is customer bathroom. Diagnostics are 60% MORE expensive here than at other shops. However they DO have a Road Force Balancing Machine - Im sure that cost them a ton, gotta pay it off somehow. Tires are 31% MORE expensive if you get them here... Personnel are great - very informative, FAST and courteous BUT I have to echo the other reviewers observation - VERY SLOPPY WORK! They left all my RARE lug-nut protective covers improperly installed where they could have flown off while driving and caused damage to my car or even another persons vehicle or even a pedestrian. I would not utilize these people for tire or wheel work.

AAA reccommended Auto Lab as well as a few others when I called from Mid Michigan, trying to find a AAA approved atuo mechanic garage for my daughter whos attending Eastern Michigan University. After checking out approx. 5 different places, we decided on Auto Lab. they were very friendly, helpful and offered a really good quote for the work that was anticipated. I have been going to Auto Lab for about 5 yrs or more. I would not take my car anywhere else. The integrity and work done has always been great. Bret and Marc always take the time to explain what needs to be done (even let you know if you could probably wait another 6 mos or so for something - never had that happen before!!) Great people, great mechanics, always willing to go the extra mile to help someone. I appreciate them and their workers and would recommend anyone to go there. Great job all of you!!

I recently took my Ford Fusion to Auto Lab to have a rear tail light replaced. I work close by and they drove me back to work. In addition to replacing the light they rubbed out the yellow paint from the light post that I had hit (thus the broken tail light) and dropped my car back off for me!! The charge was far less than expected and the service was beyond great. This is my first review as I havent seen taking the effort (now I sound lazy in addition to a poor driver) but I needed to share this time.
