I had a blow out and contacted Hilliard Tire Center and Jason answered the phone. He sounded very polite and I explained that I need a tire for my Honda accord. He asked me what size and I had no clue. He said to come in and he can find out what the sizes are and that the price would be 25.00 for a used tire. So after work I drove over there and found out that my tire is a 14 inch. Jason said that he needs to head in the back to see if he has a 14 inch tire. After about 5 minutes he came out and said that he has a 15 inch and as long as it is on my rear tire I should be ok. I hesitated in my mind at first but he seemed like he knew what he was talking about so I went ahead with it. They did the tire pretty fast and I paid. Looked at my receipt and there was a $2.50 tire disposal fee for my old tire so $25.00 became $27.50. I was slightly upset about this because I was never told anything about this charge or was never given the option to "keep the old tire". As I hit the freeway I noticed my alignment was off and my rear right side of the car was causing my car to slowly shift to the left at the front of my car. I did not have very much money in my account to begin with and now I had a tire that could potentially cause a safety hazard because we were expecting snow that night. I wondered why a person would tell me that it is ok to put a 15 inch tire on my car when i have all 14 inch tires to begin with. I was scared to call them about this issue because it was a used tire for goodness sakes. But I spent all of the money i had on a tire that does not work for my car. So I made the call and spoke with Jason who said " I can find you a 14 inch tire and we will replace it for free, I will call you later and let you know for sure". So I was starting to feel a sense of relief. Well some time passed and no phone call. So i called and Jason politely said "It is not in, I will call you later". So I waited and no phone call. The next morning around 11:00 I finally called and Jason said " The tire never came in, you can come in and we will just remove the tire and give you a refund". That was ok with me because at this point I was done dealing with this place. So I get there at 4:45. Jason knows who I am and asks for my receipt. I give it to him and he does something with his visa machine. I get a refund for 56.00 and I look at him puzzled.... I only paid around 27.00 for the tire why did he just give me 56.00. He said "I made a mistake so I had to refund you twice". I asked him if he charged my card and he said no. So I called my bank real quick and low and behold we were negative $2.50, he did charge my card again! I panicked and called customer service. I explained the situation and she said that it would take 3 days to fall off then I can be refunded the overdraft fees when they hit. I asked if she can chat with Jason to expedite it and she said yeah. So I got him on the phone and he agreed. Phew...... that was a close one. All I wanted was a simple tire and it had turned into a nightmare. I am sitting there and notice the time is around 5:45 and they close at 6:00 and my car was still in the same spot. Not even touched yet. That place was busy. The phone rang off the hook and customers came in and out constantly. One guy came in and asked if Jason can repair his tire real quick Jason stated "I Probably don’t have time, but I can get to it in about 15 minutes". The poor guy sat there with me for another 45 minutes before the tire was even touched. 6:30 rolled around and My car was finally finished. I go up to Jason and he gives me my receipt and says "thank you". I walk out only saying "Yeah, have a nice night". I was never apologized to. But I think he was a bit too busy to say sorry. Just because a place is in a nice part of town does not mean you will get quality service. With some changes made this place could shine, until then be cautious!

Read all these online reviews about how they dont try to nickel and dime you like other auto shops, so I was excited to give them a shot. First time I went, I needed tires for my Pontiac Grand Am. They called to give me three options for tires they had available, with the cheapest being $150 per tire, and going up from there. When I told them that was too much I wanted to pay, they hung up, only to call me back not three minutes later to give me some excuse that their computer was messing up, but they found some for $100 each. Sounds like nickel-and-diming to me. The second time I took it in, I had a couple holes in my tires that were slowly releasing air. I told them I wanted them to look into patching it. After looking at them, they explained to me they couldnt, because the holes were too close, and that I would need new tires. By this time, they were about to close, so I just told them to leave the car alone, and I would come by the next day to pick it up. When I went back the next day, I was hit with a $25 charge to pick my car up...because as it turns out, it COULD be patched, and no one bothered to tell me that. Glad I happened to bring my wallet! The communication is poor, and contrary to what youre reading on here, theyre just as shady and untrustworthy as just about any other mechanic. If you really want treated right, theres a mysterious tire shop right next door to this one that does excellent work for even cheaper.

Ive always been an advocate for supporting local businesses instead of the big guys and decided to try Hilliard Tire for a simple tire patch repair. The price was a little steep for a usual $10-20 dollar job and service was pretty slow. That really wasnt the issue though. When I received my car back I found grease all over the door, steering wheel, and shifter. Upon returning home I inspected the tire and found that the center emblem was completely missing and that there was massive amounts of grease on the rim. After further inspection I found that the lug nuts were well under torqued (major safety issue). Just all around a poor job, Ill keep trying local places but I will never go back to Hilliard Tire again.

I took my girlfriends car here because of the reviews I found on Google. I spoke with Jason and he is very friendly and very knowledgeable. We went in and asked for an alignment. The guys checked the car over and determined an alignment wasnt necessary. They balanced one of the front tires and gave us the option to replace the rear struts, which I knew were bad, but didnt realize they were causing the issue she had with her car. Since her car is old we didnt opt to have the work done. The guys at the shop didnt pressure us to have the work done! Will be back.
