In November 2013, my fiance and I needed a storage facility to use for a few months as we were transitioning from our apartment to a new townhome. We couldnt move into our new place until February, so we crashed at a friends place for a few months until our new home was ready. We needed a storage facility for all of our things for a few months so we looked around. Ive never used a storage facility before, so I checked around. The Lock-up in Eden Prairie was the 2nd place we checked, and were so glad that we did. Weve had such a great customer experience with the Eden Prairie Lock-up, we cant imagine going anywhere else. First, Paulas great! She was so helpful, explained everything clearly to us and it was truly an easy experience. We set up a direct deposit for the payments and it was fine that we only needed the place for a few months. We were even allowed to use their moving truck for free to move our things into the unit. Moving in was easy. There are 2 garage doors that make it easy to unload just a carload of items or even a U-haul. Its also a heated garage so moving in February wasnt an issue at all. There were also more than enough carts for us to transport items from vehicles to the unit. The unit we had was awesome. There were lots of options, but we got a 10x10 that was perfect for us, since we had basically our entire 2 bedroom apt in the unit. Our unit was clean, tall, heated and very secure. We were the only people with keys to our unit, and the security system there is amazing. We had our own personal key to our unit, our own security code to get into and navigate the building. There were also security cameras too, I never worried about our safety or the security of our unit. We had a great customer experience, we will go to the EP Lockup every time we need a storage unit and recommend it for everyone. Seriously, why would we go anywhere else? The EP Lockup is convenient, reasonably priced, great customer service, managed very well, extremely secure, lots of variety, heated units, heated facility, plenty of moving carts and a large heated garage for moving. If you need storage, use the EP Lockup. Give Paula a call, she wonderful and so helpful. Thanks so much Paula, this was a great experience for us!

Five Stars just doesnt seem like enough kudos to describe my experience with The Lock Up in Eden Prairie! First, I am not one to write reviews, but an extremely difficult move from another state went off without a hitch! All because of one person; her name is Paula and she works at Eden Prairies Lock Up Self-Storage (not sure of her position). From my very first call to secure storage, all the way through to moving the very last of my things out of the facility three (yup 3!) months later, Paula was invaluable to me; a 60-year-old woman moving to a new state and completely unfamiliar with the area. Id recently lost my husband and found myself in a world of confusion, yet needing to make some important life-changing decisions. Paulas friendly personality, true gift and desire to provide superb customer service, put me immediately at ease. I even found myself laughing on the phone with her before Id ever even met her. Finally, the move day arrived and when I pulled into The Lock Up facility, there was her smiling face! Over the course of the following months, I had more laughs with her than I thought possible. Beyond the terrific customer service, the facility is immaculate, very safe and secure. A real plus for an older woman alone, and certainly not what I would have expected from a storage facility. Often times I had to go after dark and felt completely secure -- All in all a most positive experience!!! Many thanks to a terrific business!

We have had a unit at the EP Lock Up for 3 years. We looked at every self-storage facility within a 5-mile radius and we feel that this is by far the best available. We wanted a climate-controlled facility, secure and well-maintained. This facility provides all of that and more, including carpeted, well-lit passageways, a sufficient number of dollies, a good variety of unit sizes, and reasonable hours of access. Paula provided outstanding service as the manager and represented the corporation in an exceptionally helpful and courteous manner. (She recently moved to the Plymouth location.) The only negative has been the rate increases over the last several years which total 27%. Realizing that every self-storage has options for increases in their contracts, this amount seems unusually high, but has not been compared to other companies in the area. Other than the rate increases, we have been very pleased with the EP Lock-Up and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality and safe place to store their belongings.

Called and talked to someone in the call center. I was inquiring about a 10x15 and a 10x20. For some reason thier prices are much higher than the public storage right next door. The call center rep was not helpfull, seemed little rude, and was insiting and making sure that I understood that the other storage place was a dump, rat infested, always broken into..ect..ect.. and trying to convince me that they are the best. Now I dont believe that is a good way to portray any business. But I went to check them both out. They were BOTH very clean and nice. Very nice lady working at lock up and very nice lady at public. Both were very helpful. In short I ended up with public and saved almost $100 per month for (what I could tell from touring both locations) the EXACT same thing. Check them out for yourself.

Moving and downsizing can be a very traumatic experience. I wish to especially thank Paula Skenzich who worked at the Eden Prairie Lock Up Self Storage as I was in the process of moving and needing to store items. She was always kind, thoughtful, helpful, patient and caring. It is my understanding she has recently moved on to the Plymouth facility. I can assure anyone who encounters her and chooses to use that facility, they will be treated respectfully and can be assured their valuables will be well cared for. In my experience, The Lock Up Self Storage is a company that provides excellent customer service and hires truly competent employees. I feel fortunate to have chosen The Lock Up Self Storage and highly recommend it to others.

I used The Lock Up storage located in Eden Prairie, MN for two years and it was a great experience. The temperature controlled feature was the main reason we chose to use this storage, we brought our Mahogany wood furniture from Honduras and we were afraid of using just any storage. After pulling up the furniture and setting it up again in our new home, the furniture looks great! Moreover, the staff is friendly and the security measures to access the place gives you the peace of mind needed when storing personal belongings. I highly recommend this place and will use it again, if needed, in the future.

I have rented space at other storage facilities, and theres just no comparison. I especially appreciated how clean this facility is, and how easy it is to drive into an oversize garage and load/unload without worrying about the weather. Paula in the office is a gem. If youre in need of a storage locker, chances are its because theres something difficult going on in your life: divorce, relocation, extensive home remodel, etc. Using The Lock Up went a long way to reduce the stress during a very stressful time. Clean, safe, secure, efficient. I wouldnt hesitate to use this facility again.
