If you have the time, I would recommend not using this shop and getting some evaluations elsewhere. For a small town shop, they charge a premium price. I was hoping that I could develop a relationship with this shop since they are very close to me, but they just keep coming up as too expensive. I have used them three times for emergency items and they were more expensive than other shops when I checked other shops for the same work after the fact. Also have asked them for their quote to do non emergency work but very unwilling to offer their advice on the best way to handle a repair other than the most expensive solution. They also want a lot of money just to look at a car. I asked them to hook up the code reader on an item and they wanted $85 just to give me the priveledge. Other shops do that for free. They may be your only choice in a pinch, but you should definitely make some calls and get quotes elsewhere if you have the time.

No high pressure sales, just options. Tim and Scott give you options if they find something during routine maintenance. If they find something that is a safety issue for either you or others on the road, you will get a VERY STRONG recommendation. Otherwise, you can decide if or when you want to make the repair. I actually use the options to schedule my non-critical repair work to fit my budget. I really don’t like thinking about or spending money on vehicles, but, I do like not feeling pressured into doing something, on the spot, when the car is sitting in the shop.

I went to another shop in the area and they wanted to charge me more money than I could afford to replace my altenator....so I decided that I would check around before committing myself to this cost. I checked with West Hennepin Auto & Tire and they quoted me half the cost of the other repair shop. I decided that I wanted them to do the work so I left my car with them and they finished the job in a timely manner and were very friendly. I would recommend that anyone looking for good quality work with a friendly atmosphere to go to West Hennepin Auto & Tire.

Tim and his guys have helped me out more times than I can think of. Their attention to detail and honest assessment of issues makes it easy to trust their advice. Ive never had to go back to have them fix something they worked on (which has happened with other shops) and they are always willing to work with me on what needs to be done and what can wait. The work is top notch and they always have an eye on safety- they make sure I know of any issues that could cause me to be sitting on the side of the road in this subzero Minnesota winter.

Excellent customer service - when I bring my truck for service I am greeted with a willingness to provide great service. They take the normal oil change to the next level; checking the truck to make sure that it is safe; i.e. tires; lights; fluids in the car. They also will keep a record of your visits and the work that was done on the truck and what works still needs to be done. You know that they actually care about your safety and treat your fair.

Trustworthy and Reliable... says it all. I always know I will get the straight up truth about what needs to be done to my car and I wont get up- sold on a bunch of other maintenance and repair items that might not be necessary, as is the case at other repair shops that I have dealt with in the past. We bring all our family vehicles here for service and always receive top notch service at a competitive price.

Friendly and affordable service! Dont hesitate to bring your vehicle in if you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic. Unlike other shops I have been to, West Hennepin Auto wont tell you something needs to be fixed when it doesnt. I recommend them to all of my family and friends!

Horrible. Over priced and they charge a ridiculous amount just for diagnosing, research your options before going here I would have never towed my truck here if I knew. Labor and parts were both overpriced , other places I called were shocked they were that pricey. 0 stars
