I had awful service. Dropped my car off at 8am for an oil change and asked how long it would take, "a few hours" I was told. I called at 3pm cause I hadnt heard anything and they told me they havent even had a chance to look at my car. They called me back 30 minutes later and listed all the things that needed to be done on my car and prioritized them, which was nice. However, when I asked some questions about the work that needed to be done, the worker was very short and eventually he said he had to go now because he had other work to do. I thought this was extremely rude, especially when I still had questions about the work my car needed (cracked serpentine belt, wheel bearings, brakes, and tire problems) - which I ended up taking my car to a different shop and they told me all I needed was new tires. I decided to get some additional work done which they recommended doing that day, but then they asked me if I needed my car the following day because they might not have enough time to work on it. They ended the conversation saying "we will try our best to finish it by the time we close". They close at 6 and they called me at 545 informing me that the work on my car was finally finished. I expected better and faster service, especially since I dropped my car off at 8am. Update: About a week after posting the review the manager contacted me and apologized for the service I received so I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars.

I had originally brought my car to H1 Honest Auto Care in Maple Grove for a major coolant leak. They charged me $770 to fix the leak and then told me the head gaskets were bad and needed to be replaced for an estimate of $2,200. So I wanted a second opinion, I saw that the Midas in Maple grove was highly rated and was curious to see what they could do. I brought my car to Midas in Maple Grove for an inspection and they found A.) H1 Auto Care did not fix the coolant leak, and was basically bone dry when I brought it in. B.) The head gaskets were not bad as I was told by H1 and C.) They found other issues where H1 Auto Care basically made the issue worse. Mike, the owner at the Midas in Maple Grove took care of all the issues I was dealing with – his customer services skills are absolutely top notch. Everyone there I had talked to and dealt with is friendly and professional. They explained everything in a clear and concise manner while fixing the coolant leak and water pump for less than what I had paid at H1 Auto Care all together. HIGHLY recommended to anyone who is looking for a friendly, trustworthy and affordable repair shop. These guys know what they are doing – will be taking my car back here every time.

I brought my vehicle here a total of 5 times for two problems. It would take much too long to detail the entire story for either repair. In the end, both repairs were completed to my satisfaction, but it was a challenge. Mike is a great guy and is trying very hard. Everything in the reviews about doing only the repair you brought it in to do is true. Also the effort to keep prices low was noted. However, it seems they have a reluctance to dig in and really find the problem (maybe because they are afraid of doing work that would cost a lot). It seems like they are understaffed. The repairs I had done were outside of the "usual" Midas work of brakes, mufflers, shocks, and oil change. I think if you stick with those you probably would have better luck than I did. I may be the exception to the norm here, but after getting burned twice I cant give them my recommendation and I wont be back.

Yaaaahooo!!!! Have you ever had an annoying squeack in your car but were afraid of the cost of repair? I just took my car in for an oil change and finally asked them to check on the squeak that has been bothering me for months! I knew it was going to cost a lot. Bob drove the can then got a stethoscope out to find the exact location. It was the "track arm" in the front of the car, he said it wasnt loose so there was no safety issue. He said replacement would cost over $300 BUT suggested we just put some lube on it to see it that would quiet it down... Yaaaahooo!!!! I was prepared to pay the $300 to get rid of the annoyance; instead, I drove home in beautiful silence for only the cost of my oil change. I love having an auto repair shop that treats me fairly!

Heres the real deal, folks! If you live anywhere near MG, you go here! Friendly, honest & more than reasonable. Everyones great, including Mike, of course. Ive been going here for a few years, I wish I wouldve found them earlier. Fix what you need, tell you about things you might/will need, without ANY pressure. They run through a relatively thorough checklist for free, every time you go in. We chased down a rattle after an oil change one day. Mike printed out manufacturer recall information for me once. Theyve checked things out for free. Whole staff seems eager to please. They really should give training classes to the dealers.

I took my car here for the second time this past weekend and was thoroughly impressed AGAIN with the high quality of work as well as service that the staff at this location provides. The manager, Mike, was incredibly friendly, honest, and punctual-- qualities that seem to be hard to find when finding a good auto repair place. All work Ive had done here has been well done without any issues. I was expecting to leave my car for two days; they got it done in less than one. Keep up the good work you guys-- the quality of service as well as your friendliness and honesty are a winning combination -- you have a new loyal customer.

Friendly, personable staff, no high-pressure repair quotes and reasonable prices. Once, I was in for an issue with my transmission and in their troubleshooting, they replaced my tranny fluid, which didnt turn out to be the issue, but they did that free of charge. The issue was a wire that broke from the plug, so they soldered it, also free of charge, instead of have me pay for a new factory wiring kit. These are mechanics and staff you can trust!!

Take your car here. This place is the real deal. Mike the manager is great and very punctual. I took my car in to have them check out a problem and they fixed the problem, only. They suggested things to get done in the future.. key word future and did not pressure me to get anything uneeded done. Hats off to the guys there. Mike keep up the good work. They even replaced the lugs and nuts for free and they also printed off coupons for me.

Mike, the general manager is excellent. He tells you the truth and keeps your cost down by giving you exactly what you need to get your vehicle repaired. He gives all his customers the personal attention that they deserve and makes sure that everything is as it should be. I do a lot of work on my vehicles but if I need to take one of them to the shop I wouldnt go anywhere else. Job well done every time. Keep up the good work!
