If youre anything like me, then you can relate to being very skeptical when it comes to trusting auto shops with your cars. Before my recent service, I actually had one other auto shop I bounce back and forth from which I wont mention by name. Multiple things won me over which included their affordability, outstanding/friendly customer service, knowledgeable, and familiar people. By affordability, I mean that their price for a service will be always be most affordable in town. By outstanding and friendly customer service, I mean they actually listen to all your questions/concerns you have and address it in a friendly manner. By knowledgeable, I mean they are car experts. It doesnt matter if you dont have any knowledge of cars whatsoever or if you have plenty of knowledge, they are able to explain things to you in a way youll understand! By familiar people, I mean Ive known of this location when it was known as "Excel Auto & Tire". There was one friendly gentleman that always worked on my cars that I began to trust by the name of Rick. So once Excel closed down and the location turned into Victory Auto Service & Glass, I became wary of trying new auto shops but the first time I go in I notice a familiar face. It was Rick that welcomed me back with a smile on his face which brought back my hope in Victory as well as the rest of the staff including Steve and Cassandra. I have a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 and recently had Victory install these new performance rotors and pads but to put the icing on the cake I had my calipers painted RED! They turned out just as great as I thought they would! I picked up a loaner car the day before my service and while they were servicing my car Steve called me and kept me updated on how things where going with my car. By 3:30 pm Tuesday July 28, 2015 I was the happiest man alive when I received the call of them being finished! After work I was there by 4pm and I was even more excited to see how well my ride looked. I could not have been any happier! Thank you Victory you definitely are and will continue to be my auto shop of choice for any of my future car maintenance and enhancements!! I took my car in for some rather extensive (Drive axle and wheel bearing replacement) on Saturday morning with no appointment but they (Jeff the owner) said he would try to get it done that day. They diagnosed the problem adn started on the work when I discovered that the funds to have the repair done were being held by my bank so I could not pick the car up that day. I stopped at the store to let them know and the only concern they had was if I had transportation so I was able to get around. Their concern for my well being was the first thing on their mind, not when I was going to pick up the car or even if I was going to be able to pay for the repair. That is GREAT customer service! Fast forward to today (Monday) I received a voice mail from Steve at 1:00 today telling me the car was done adn I could pick it up at my convenience, I had resolved the issue with the bank and stopped in to pick up my car. The problems I was experiencing were gone and the car was clean. The price was reasonable, the work done to expectation and on time. I will return for future work on both my car and truck with no reservations. They are friendly, reliable and seem to be strait shooters. The shop is clean and neat, the waiting area pleasant and they offer free WiFi while you wait. Without reservations I recommend Victory to anyone living in the area (Maplewood, North End of St. Paul and surrounding areas) to have auto work done. This is a great place to have work done. I had an appointment early on a Saturday. I had three things that I knew needed to be investigated, 1 of which I knew the solution, the other 2, I did not. I was offered refreshments as I sat down to wait, the waiting area was nice, free WI FI, and a TV to watch. After a few minutes, Chad came and got me to show me what they found, and then he told me how much it would cost up front. I approved the work and they started. They offered me a loaner car to use till the work was done, however, I chose to wait. while waiting, 3 different people walked in and described a situation the were experiencing with their vehicles. Chad asked a few questions of each, and then offered to investigate for them. 1 of those people, left with their problem solved. The 2nd left with future plan set up to fix the problem. the 3rd left in a loaner car, so they could continue with their day while the service was preformed on their car. I left with a truck that was repaired properly, in a timely manner, and at the price that was given. i have found an place I can trust, and I am confident enough in what I witnessed that day, to send my daughter to them also.

I received excellent service at the Ham Lake location after buying a car out there. Because of this, I knew I had to find the closest location to me. Although I live in Minneapolis, I go out of my way to come to this location because they go above and beyond and are worth the extra drive. They are very personable and I have no sense that they are ever trying to take advantage of me. In addition, they are fast, professional, and knowledgeable. I was especially helped by Jordan the manager. The lounge and bathroom is clean, they have complimentary snacks, drinks, killer Wi-Fi, and they even have toys for kids. These are not necessary but these little things make the experience of going to the mechanic more palatable. Overall, I am extremely impressed by this business and want to give credit where credit is due. I highly recommend them! *Update 8/17 Since moving to the Maplewood, Steve and the team have continued going above and beyond and I just met the new manager Mike S. He was very knowledgable with tires and helped me get the best purchase. I have no plans to go anywhere.

I dont know how I had such a bad experience given the reviews. Perhaps employees of the company and their spouses are writing stellar reviews in order to get business. I had a terrible experience, they overcharged me for everything and put "up sales" on everybody that was in there when my car was being serviced. "hey rotate your tires, 15 bucks, now you need a battery, 160 bucks, you should get new tires too" I was in for an Uber inspection and he held my approval hostage unless I bought a battery from him. I asked him to show me the cold cranking amps of the battery test and he wouldnt provide it but said he was surprised my car started this morning. I said that I would replace the battery myself to save money then he said I would need to come back for the Uber approval and would have to pay an additional fee. What a rip off, I will never bring another one of my vehicles to this place. Perhaps all the upcharges help pay for the terrible free coffee?
