I have used Safeguard on two separate occasions and they exceeded my expectations both times. Juan is extremely professional, knowledgable, and always went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Juan seems to be ahead of the curve and ahead of his time with business and customer service at such a young age. I had used safeguard initially for about a 7 month term the first time. When I used the company the second time it was for a brief amount of time in between moves. I was there for less than a month and due to a family emergency I had to leave town and allow movers to come move my things to another destination in my absence. After moving out I was charged on the first of the next month but my things were out of the unit since the 18th of the previous month. I found out after calling that this happened because I was not there to physically sign the papers to properly close the account. I was not able to get back into Astoria due to family and business related travel. I called to see what they could do and to my surprise Juan was able to get the charges reversed after confirming with his supervisor. I always appreciate good business practice and Safeguard and their staff delivers just that. The facility is super clean, boasts a modern building as well as modern security equipment, has visible rodent and insect control precations, and is also temperature regulated. I recommend this storage facility to anyone who wants a great customer experience as well as high security for their precious belongings.

I signed up online and went into the office to sign the contract and pick up my keys and such. I was actually shocked by how friendly and professional the staff was. Juan gave me a tour of the facility, went over the contract thoroughly, answered all my questions and even found me a better unit than the one I had originally rented. And he did it all with a smile. I have never rented a storage unit before because I was always worried it would be dirty and creepy. This place is the exact opposite. Its clean, well lit, so easy to move things in and out of and every time I meet another renter we always exchange smiles and sometimes even have great conversations. I am impressed with how this place is run and maintained and will definitely recommend it to friends in the neighborhood. Even though I only plan on keeping the unit for a few months while Im in transition, I already have a feeling Im not going to want to give it up for a while.

We have rented from several places throughout the US and have NEVER had the quality provided by Safeguard Self Storage in both the property and the service. These folks were absolutely fantastic to work with. Their property was clean as a whistle and was the safest place to have our belongings stored. Very, very impressed! When the occasion arises when we need storage again we will ONLY go with Safeguard Self Storage!

I moved in this past week and I was very pleased by the customer service I received. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The facility itself seems clean and modern. It would be nice if their hours of access were greater but that is probably not feasible without either increasing their costs or sacrificing the current level of security enjoyed by the customer so 5 stars in my book.
