This place is a TOTAL SCAM!! I called Cubesmart about storing my things at the location across the street, reserved a space, set up an appointment, and came in. I accidentally came to this one since I didnt realize there were two on the same street. I said I was here for my appointment and they just took me like they were the ones I talked to and didnt bother to tell me I was at the wrong place. I was tricked. Then, after they signed me into their contracts and took my money, they told me that I wouldnt get the benefits I was told over the phone because they werent available at this location. Right away I went into panic mode because my whole move was relying on access to the truck that I was promised earlier. They also are hardly ever open and since their work hours over the weekend are nearly nonexistant, there was no way I could move in time. I had to scramble to find a way to move and ended up calling about 20 times to figure out all my options and finally be promised that I could cancel my account, get a refund, and get a space at the one down the street. Since it took them forever to agree to this, it was too late for me to use the truck at the other location so I ended up spending an extra $150 renting a truck for a day when it could have easily been avoided. A month later, I look at my credit card and see that not only had they not reimbursed me like they said they would, they didnt even cancel my account and charged me another $170 on top of that. I called the manager so many times and when he finally answered he said he would fix it. A week later, he hadnt fixed it or even attempted to. I texted him every day for four days and he refused to answer. I had to threaten legal action for him to finally call me back. After calling 3 more times, he finally refunded ONE of the THREE charges and stopped answering his phone for another week. Ive had the number saved in my contacts for a while now since I have to actively call and text and threaten daily to even get a response. I tried calling again about that a few more times and got so fed up that I sat down and called him 6 times in a row so he would answer his phone. Then he told me it was the credit card companys fault. He said he would fix it and call me back on Monday. Ive heard that one before!! This location is terrible and the manager is a dirty THIEF who takes advantage of anyone he can. Disgusting company managed by a disgusting man. I would absolutely not recommend ever going there. Take your business to non-criminals.

Im not the type to write rewievs , but they asked for it. I rented a unit on Wyckoff Avenue and boy did I have to make a lot of phone calls. When I opened an account I told them that I need the storage for only one month but I might need to extend it. They said it was okay, all I have to do is leave my credit card on file and it will be automatically charged. So guess what? A month passes and I receive an email from one of the managers (which I was never able to get a hold of) saying that my account is overdue and that I wont be able to access my unit until I pay my balance plus late fees. After haveing to call the 1-800 number because I couldnt get a hold of anyone in the office the issue was resolved. At the end of the second month I empty out my unit and call the number to close my account. Of course I was automatically transferred to customer service in their head quarters, because no one was available on site. I closed my account and was supposed to receive an email confirmation. Never got it and now they billed me for another month. When I called the location to resolve the issue, of course no one picked up and I was automatically transferred to general customer service and was told that there was no indication that I ever closed my account. Now Im waiting for a call back from the manager as the customers service representative wasnt available to assist me. I will not do business with them again, as its too much hassle. I understand that mistakes happen and I would not have held it against them if they worked with me to resolve the issue. Maybe they make enough money already and dont care for new customers.

Where to begin... The equipment is faulty; the ladders are injuries waiting to happen, the nuts and bolts holding the ladder together are visibly loose, it is unstable and rocks from side to side when standing atop attempting to gain access to the unit.The unit doors are bent, dented and jam constantly. I figured out a trick to getting my unit open and closed effectively yet was afraid every time that I was going to fall over due to the rickety ladder. Other renters also had similar complaints. They advised me on how to open and close it and told me not to "bother" with telling the staff as "they dont do nothing". Encouraging... Customer service was horrid and at no point in the day was I able to speak with a live person at this location. The general customer service reps were unable to answer my questions, they were also unable to forward me to someone that could. The late fee was also suspicious and will be further looked into- no one was able to explain where that charge came from, how they calculated it, why it was as much as it was. Day 3 -still no answer. Yet, if you do not pay the unexplained charge it impacts your credit. I chose this place because the price seemed affordable- what a joke; they have raised the rate since I began, combined with the mystery extra charges, and the headache associated with the unit itself isnt worth the supposed savings.

Unfortunately, I am unable to give this a better review. I have been using this facility for a few years and there have been numerous issues. First there is a lot of problems with the elevator and using a dolly. Also, my rate was raised and I never received notification of this. One more thing, there isnt anywhere that you can throw out or dump empty boxes, etc. When I inquired about this, I was told that I have to take it with me and dump it somewhere else. Dont get me wrong, the workers are very nice, understanding and pleasant and I try not to take out frustrations on them because they are only doing their job. I feel there is a problem with management.

I have them one star because it wouldnt let me give zero. Worst. Absolute worst storage facility Ive ever experienced. Wyckoff was terrible, but Cubesmart is worse. I have been trying for weeks to get in contact with a manager regarding my unit and still have not been able to communicate with anyone. They claimed my issue was situated then a week later I find out it isnt. They are TERRIBLE. Very very frustrated. Told several times today alone that the manager would call me back.

They normally have an internet deal that your first month is free. Make sure to ask! Located steps away from the Halsey Stop off the L Train, they have decent rates. The area can be sketch at night but does not impact this business. They do close kinda early during the week 7pm I believe so plan accordingly. No access once building is closed. Spaces range from 30-100 per month. They also sell boxes. Employees are super friendly (sometimes over friendly if that is possible).
