First of all...there are always two sides to every story. This company lists storage units online for discounted prices, usually with the first full month free or 0.99cents. There is a catch... they will only honor this if you reserve the unit you want online. I went to this location after already looking at the units they listed online as being available. The only reason why I did not reserve the unit online was because I literally live within a two minuet walk of the building, I thought it would be easier (as most people would) to go in person. I then asked the one guy who was working in the entire building if that unit was available. He goes on to tell me that it is not, then tells me he can offer a unit which was not on the first floor for allot more then what they were offering the unit online.....really????? I asked him why he couldnt honor the price that was listed online and why the company is listing certain units being available when they are not? He just proceeded to bullshit me... Other then being completely unprofessional and rude, I was not going to deal with the b.s. scam that this company is trying to con people into and him. I walked out... If I walk into your store and mention an advertised price YOUR company listed online.... you should honor it...regardless of weather or not I come into the store or not. Im pretty sure that rule HAS ALWAYS been around for years....

So Ive been waiting on writing this – until after my move into the place – to see if this place was actually too good to be true. This is your new storage unit. Carlos was everything and more than I expected from reading the other google reviews. He was a very genuine and honest salesman. He listened to my concerns to find me the right space rather than find me the expensive space and showed numerous units to see some of the irregular shapes/sizes to gauge for myself what my furniture would need. Can I also note he has his kids as his work desktop background? He also remembered me when I came back two weeks later with my stuff and said hi! All around nice guy. I fit a bed, shelves, two couches, and a loveseat along with many boxes in a unit 5" x 10" with space to spare. These are nice high ceilings in the unit, and EXTREMELY clean. You wont be picking up any critters from this place. Pricing was a bit more than I expected to spend, so I would recommend calling ahead and watching the online prices and deals for a bit before you want to book. Im sure it fluctuates, and Ill bet its a better rate when you plan ahead. I feel like it was a fair deal for the peace of mind with this place though. Couldnt be happier to give them my business.

I want to first say tI have been with this facility for several years (several months after its opening). I have a very high regard for the Staff at the Safeguard located in Ridgewood, Queens and have to say that they are very professional, courteous, cordial and are always concerned regarding fulfilling your storage needs. The facility is Clean and is run by Ann and Carlos very efficiently. I would recommend this facility to anyone in need of a Safe, Clean and efficient Storage Place. The only suggestion I have is the the HOME OFFICE needs to recognize their regular customers and should be creating a LOYALTY LONG TIME CUSTOMER DISCOUNT. Especially for those customers that have been with SAFEGUARD SELF STORAGE since its opening. The company does have a Recommendation Bonus of 50.00 dollars for recommending and referring other customers once they rent a unit, but I still Feel a LONG TIME CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DISCOUNT Program should be put in place to encourage the existing customer to continue on keeping their storage Unit. Overall I give this location a Thumbs up and 5 Star rating

My ayexperience with safeguard self storage has always been great and very reliable. Today I transferred to a small unit because the fee rates of my previous one was a little out of hand and currently going to a rough times on my end, Carlos one of the managers from this location helped me out with accommodations of units and gave an excelente help with rates and the unit I transferred to was close to that one I had before which it worked out perfect to put all my stuff quick with no problem. Carlos its execelent and always gave me a hand when I needed it. If you ever happen to move to this area and need a place to put your stuff dont hesitate and rely on safe guard self storage and ask for Carlos he will help you with gratitude and smile. Hes awesome. Thanks again Carlos for your great help every time.

I have to say this has been by far the best self-storage experience I have had... I was in a pickle last month with less than 48 hours to find a new apartment or a place to store my things and I went into Safeguard Self Storage where Carlos helped me with everything that I needed. I had looked at the rates online but it is always another thing when you are physically looking at the unit... Anyway, Carlos helped me find the right unit at an amazing price at the last minute. He even helped out a friend of mine who was in a similar situation of needing storage last minute. Excellent Customer service, very safe and secure and CLEAN facilities... Gotta love that its in Queens too :) I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

I would to take my time and thank everyone that either had a storage or has a storage at Safeguard self storage and took their time to write a review, I took my time and read a few of them that made me decide which one. I decide to take a visit to Safe guard Self storage just like everyone said cleanness, cameras, the service and you cant get in the elevator if you dont have a chip, and i spoke Mr. Carlos just like everyone said very patient with me because i asked a lot of questions, very respectful, polite, and the price is reasonable depends on the amount of stuff you have. you want your stuff to be safe and in a clean area. Im very happy. I would highly recommend to everyone.

I moved from CubeSmart storage to come to this Safeguard storage in 2015. Best decision yet!!!! Those 2 facilities are night and day. This Safeguard storage is soooo clean, well lit (with light sensors that actually work), stable temperature, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I planned on staying for only a few months but it has now been 2 years that Im with Safeguard. The prices are reasonable (even the increases). CubeSmart used to increase my rates (dramatically) every 6 months but Safeguard only increases it yearly, only by a few dollars. The first year, the increase was $17. The second year, it was only $12. By the way, Kudos to Carlos, who is the icing on the cake!!!!!

I have to thank these guys for being ever so helpful in a crucial time of stress. Moving cross country was stressful to say the least. From last minute getting the unit to them greeting me by first name happily over the phone when i would call to check up or ask questions during the time i rented from them to understanding my chaos in the end and helping me along the way in any way they could to make it as stress free and fluid transaction/ transition as possible. No funny business kinda place but if you show them your human theyll be human to you too. Thank you guys!!! I cant say it enough. I strongly recommend this place for the Bushwick/ Ridgewood area.
