Well, to all those who have negative reviews, usually are the people who expect the locations to have a truck for them at ANY time they want it. Firstly, Uhaul isnt made for you. They are not expected to fulfill you needs a day or night before when YOU need it. Uhaul has over 15,000 locations. With over 150,000 trucks. People need to learn about basic common sense and business sense before they assume and try to put negative reviews, when the people making them are the ones who set themselves up for failure, then blame the company for their own stupidity and last minute reservations. If you are going less than 80 miles. Do an In-Town Rental. If you are going over 80 miles Set it for a One-Way. Even if you are picking up and dropping off at the same location. A "in-town-oneway rate" will get you what you need. The more you know.

Reservations not honored, they make you wait in line for 30 minutes to talk to store manager, then store manager tell you to call 1800 number, then they overcharge you, and refuse to give refund. Then Store Manager Ilene Thomas flat out refuse to help at all after they swipe your credit card and got the money. Within the hour, 3 people had the same experience where reservations were changed without agreement, and manager Ilene Thomas does nothing while she chats on the phone and make people wait while shes on her personal phone calls. Ive never met a service professional so unprofessional and so rude, Let alone a so called "Certified General Manager"

I made a reservation online for a Sunday. Someone called and left a message on my phone stating that I had an appointment on Sunday for 10 am. Perfect! However I called back a couple of days before my appointment to ask how much their hitch installation would be. They said they didnt have anyone available on Sunday and asked if I could come Saturday. They also stated they did not see my appointment for Sunday. I also asked how much the service would be and she didnt know. She said I would have to come in to find out. Once she said that I took my business elsewhere.

A huge U-Haul location in Flushing. Lots of vehicles to choose from and equipment. Only reason not giving 5 stars is for the employees working that day at the counters. They seemed more engrossed about a personal discussion than about customers waiting. However a great place to find a rental van. For those needing moving help, there a groups of people waiting and loitering near the entrance of the location offering help. Dont forget to negotiate good rates and time!

These guys are solid. My hitch was initially installed on vehicle in another city, and my wiring insurance had already expired. These guys took out the time and labor to replace the wiring, only charging me the cost of the wire with no charge for labor. They were friendly and straightforward with me, and took out the time to explain the process and what it would take. Highly recommend getting your moving needs done here. Ill be coming back to them for sure.

poor customer service charging extra money for the rent eventhough we send back the truck earlier than the cut off time spoke to andrei the manager admits that their sales representative didnt provide more information thats why i got charge but still didnt reimburse that extra charge how ridiculous is that getting my money for their fault

Horrible customer service, said i had to sweep inside of van when returning. Even when i said multiple times we recieved van with some dirt in groves. Made customer sweep while employee watched. Lazy and manager was very rude. Make sure they clean every piece of dirt and wash van when recieve.

This place is best known for its clock tower which for decades had been visible by Jets/Mets fans from nearby Shea Stadium. It first opened in 1925 as Sloane Furniture warehouse then in early-1940s became Serval Zippers factory and ultimately by early-1980s turned into U-Haul facility

Communication with Raquel was very poor and aggressive from what i could see with her behavior with another customer shes very impatient. Also i sent a friend there yesterday and they claimed to have heard an altercation between her and a fellow employee very unprofessional staff.

They installed trailer wiring in my truck wrong, and "grounded" it into the carbon fiber surround, plus incorrect connections to the existing wiring.. Blew the module in my truck after 10 hours, refused to cover my 800 dollar auto electric bill to fix it.

Its a large storage facility also have a huge fleet of rental trucks of all sizes but their staff ...every single one are so slow and make you extremely frustrated just doing basic things. They should really look for people with better aptitudes.

I was helping my sister moving last week, the staff was quick to help and the 2nd staff was clearly saying to the customer in the next counter "If I find 1 trash in the car I will charge you $10, OKAY?" I find that amusing.......

Alex was very helpful in installing my hitch quickly (within an hour) and showing how to connect the ball and wiring. Some others behind the counter could use a customer service course, as they were rude to their customers.

No one was available to receive the drop off of the car trailer we rented. A very nice man from cargo had to go out of his way to do another coworkers job. Also the people who I asked for help from were pretty rude

We used their trucks recently to move my aunt and had a good experience with them. There trucks were new and in good condition. The staff were competent and helpful. I wouldnt hesitate using them again.

Horrible made me wait 9 hours to get my truck i was supposed to pick it up at 8:45 am but it wasnt available and they kept forwarding and ignoring my calls and giving me attitude I wouldnt go back

2 stars cause the truck was in good condition. But the service was bad. And when i returned the truck i spent 20 min just wating for the person in charge to inspect the truck. Very bad service.

Booked and paid (online) a truck with 1 big and 1 small dolly. And they gave me a smaller truck and 2 small dollies and they said booking in advance means nothing. Ridiculous service.
