NEVER AGAIN! I was so disappointed in our moving service with Hilldrup. So disappointed - Ive been in tears! Our movers were more concerned about the clock than our belongings. Not only did they arrive at our new home with a broken lamp and items from their storage warehouse that didnt even belong to us, they left before finishing the job! They didnt bother to move our fridge into the house from the garage. They rushed to put together furniture they had taken apart to make the move and left us with exposed screws and furniture that could easily collapse - terrible combo when you have a toddler. They also put two holes in our wall while moving furniture up the stairs. We even tipped them $100 and in my opinion - they didnt deserve it. Im still dealing with the aftermath, going through insurance companies, etc. I would not recommend Hilldrup to family and friends, especially not the Durham, NC crew.

The best and only good thing about Hildrup was their team of movers KEITH, WILLIAM ,RICO AND CARLOS whom were absolutely phenomenal, ask for them and you will be truly happy...... Just dont forget to tip them they earn it. As for storing your belongings think twice , the so called climate control was not on some of my furniture had to be reconditioned and clothes, curtains, bedding although packed with great care all musty , chrome mirror totally pitted threw it away.Their billing and customer SERVICE is horrific, with multiple and I mean multiple calls about errors they made I was ready to scream. P.S. DELIVERY OF ALL OUR BELONGINGS WAS MADE 6WEEKS AGO AND THEY RECENTLY SENT ME ANOTHER STORAGE BILL.......REALLY.

After more than 50 moves (domestic and international) this is the WORST moving company I have ever dealt with. Was forced to use them for a corporate relocation and 11 months later, they have still not settled a claim for my refrigerator, which they damaged substantially in the move. Additionally, they pulled a rank amateur move by sending me a cash our check for other damage which states that if I cash it, I consider this "settlement" of the claim. AND on the letter they sent me, it states that my refrigerator has been repaired, which is still hasnt. I will never recommend them to anyone - their movers were rude and rushed, which is why stuff got broken to begin with and their customer service is abysmal.

The movers (pickup and delivery guys) were awesome. Couldnt ask for a better crew. Scheduling was horrendous. Found out that my delivery was delayed by a day (no big deal) the day before the confirmed delivery date. I only found out because I called them. Id already made travel and work adjustments to be at my home for the CONFIRMED delivery time. If I hadnt picked up the phone, I would have been sitting at the house waiting for a delivery that never showed. Ridiculous.... Just pick up the phone and let me know the shipment was delayed. How easy would that have been. Then I encountered apathy once I complained.

Second move with this company in 2 months to finally move the remaining furniture. Sadly it was totally different service. This 3 man crew was the slowest Ive ever experienced. Furniture for a 3 bedroom house took 7-1/2 hours!! And the move was less than 5 miles apart. Very disappointed since I had such an awesome experience with the first move. Crew actually arrived 15 minutes early! Amazing. 3 man crew was courteous, respectful and hard-working. Took a very short lunch break and then started working again. Everything arrived in great condition. I would definitely use them again.

I couldnt even get a simple moving estimate. I was transferred FIVE times before I just hung up on the last lady who was about to transfer me AGAIN...It cant be that hard to give someone a rough estimate on moving from Charlotte to Houston, but everyone kept telling me this isnt the right department, let me transfer you, oh you called the wrong department, um no I was transferred to you, oh well I still cant help you, let me transfer you...I wasted 10 minutes on hold and being transferred and got nothing but a headache...

Michael Sandell was such a blessings to me. He set up my move completely in one day and connected me to who I needed to speak with for my move. He also helped connect me to a Realty Company to help sell my house. Then he gave me needed boxes for my move which I really needed. He was very professional and extremely helpful with everything. I couldnt be more pleased with Michael and every one else involved !!! The actual move went very well also.

I can truly say, working in a customer service related profession myself, my contact Angela H demonstrated not only professionalism, she was courteous, positive, timely and truly left the impression that she cared about my particular move!
