Figured I should really update the review so that someone new to Hendersonville or the Western North Carolina region can get an idea of what kind of service that you will be given by Morris Broadband as a whole, I would like to stress that Morris is another company owned by Comcast, just something to point out. Overall, the service is your basic minimum service that you would expect in Hendersonville, in the sense that you have internet, nothing too much. The issues is the broadband aspect of it, for those new to broadband, think of it as a water hose. This water hose has many taps on it, the more the taps on this one hose there is, the less water pressure there will be towards the end. Theoretically speaking, if youre a new tap youre closer to the end of the hose, so that means you are going to get less than lets say someone who got the service a little earlier, if not in general make the service in your area a little worse. Lets say in this hypothetical situation someone finds a good porno, and begins to download it. This porno is relatively big, being a 1 gig video. They begin to take up a good bit of bandwidth, slowing down the rest of the area. At times you will have times where your internet cuts in and out because of the sheer fact that someone is using that bandwidth, this doesnt count if your router is in a good place, has little to no network interference, etc. As of 2017 Im a student in this city, and with the ever-changing educational curriculum I am required to do more and more online schoolwork. This means, that if I am typing up a 5 paragraph essay at home, and someone decides they really need a 20 gigabyte file, theres a chance that my internets bandwidth will be second to none and I will lose my online data, since sometimes the website that Im on never saves the draft that Im typing up. An assignment that should take around 30 minutes, ends up becoming a 2 hour assignment. As a matter of fact, after that last paragraph the internet just came back off, and will probably take at most 5-10 minutes to come back in. I do have a few chrome tabs running, sure, maybe Steam and Spotify, but this is a relatively light load compared to when I have to install mods for one of my favorite games ArmA III, which can range from a gig of data to around 20 gigs. It just finished being down, however this kind of reliability (If you can even call it that) seems to be happening since 2 months ago of writing this post, including the short times that happened at my mothers house. After switching to something like for example AT&T, the issues stopped. The only outages I really ever have are firmware related issues, and is easily fixable. This isnt an ad for ATT, just saying that a company that is going against Net Neutrality is providing better service than this company. If you managed to read this, then I deeply apologize if this was boring, however this is something that should be said in a way for someone to more understand why this company as a 1.5 rating, and relatively bad reviews to boot for.

Ive had Morris broadband in several locations and it was OK not bad but not the best I do agree with some other peoples replies about their service customer service is OK depending who u speak with not all the techs are reliable so this is my story This is the first time having a house and with security and cameras well little did they know I called for service to be installed let me mind you (anyone who has Verizon carrier in the Henderson County area get perfect reception compared to other carriers) anyways they said a technician would arrive between 8am and 5 pm so they never gave me an exact time I finally called to check if theyre coming, the customer service lady I spoke with said they stopped by and called and rang the doorbell and nobody answered, asked the lady what time was that, so I check my security footage and they drove by without slowing down so we argued and they said that the technician came by when he really didnt, so lost a whole day of work for nothing, they rescheduled for next week same thing happened except this time he left a note on the saying sorry we missed you AGAIN NO KNOCK OR PHONE CALL BY THIS TIME I HAD IT WITH THEM I THREATENED TO EXPOSE THIS FOOTAGE TO THE MEDIA then a supervisor got involved and he tried to de escalate the situation I guess once u catch them red handed twice they have no other choice or just want to avoid media coverage but that next morning a technician arrived knocked on the door properly and I received a phone call from a private number...they got the Internet and cable working after 2 hours the tech that came out was knowledgeable and respectful and did a great job but some of the customer service is unbearable YES I UNDERSTAND THEY GET THOSE CALLS THEY WANT TO HANG UP SOMETIMES BUT DONT REFLECT IT ON THE NEXT CUSTOMER, management not that great some reps are ok but still dislike them alot they have to work on some things I think we all agree... And if a Morris broadband rep or management sees this you needed to and if u want to see the footage of your service calls Ill be more than happy to show you and anybody else thanks hope yall have a great day and be ready to lose a full day of your time for them to say SORRY WE MISSED YOU

I was loyal ATT customer for 30 years. Made the switch to Morris BB about three months ago. What prompted me to change was primarily due to the cost of ATT services and DirecTV having gone through the roof over the last few years. I could not be happier, and wish that I had made the switch to Morris BB a long time ago. I pay $130 less a month and the Internet service is generally much faster and has been exceptionally stable. The people that I have delt with have been very friendly. Even the fellas that came to bury the cable line were most courteous and efficient. Also, feels good to know that my money is going directly back in to the community in which I live, as they are a local company and not a mega-corp that really doesnt care if you do business with them or not. The bad reviews from other folks made me hesitant to change, but I spoke with my neighbor who had been using their service for the last couple years and he stated that there had not been any issues at all during that time. He did state that the signal from the router that Morris BB installed was a little weak in some parts of the house. I am using my own AC router and not experiencing that minor issue. Makes me wonder if some of the negative reviews might simply be due to bad routers and not the actual service at all. Nevertheless, I am very happy and proud to be a Morris BB customer, instead of just an ATT number.

Its simple. Morris sells you a service that "doesnt work." Internet cuts out constantly, especially at night time and in the morning. Posting this review via cell phone service since, you guessed it, service is out. I pay for 10mb/s and max out at 1mb/s.... On a good day. If you live in Henderson County, you already know how much of a joke Morris is. Edit/Update: Internet cuts out 7 days a week. A year or two ago it only cut out 4-5 days a week. Man has their "service" gotten worse. Doesnt matter if you are trying to play on an Xbox or trying to simply do a single Google search with all other electronics in the house (including cell phone) turned off. Outages will last from a period ranging from seconds to minutes to sometimes an hour or longer. 8:30am and posting this edit from my smartphone since the Internet has been out since 7:30am (this happens every day like clockwork). This is not because of your router, people..... the cables and the hardware in the ground that Morris uses to physically get Internet to your residency area is outtated and inefficient and literally nothing you can do will make it any better, regardless of how much time and money you throw at these con artists (someone explained the technicalities of this better in a different review). Is it possible to give a company 0 stars?
