Ive had this service for literally two days, and it has already failed me when i needed it most. i cant do anything right now including schedule my classes for school next semester and the weather isnt even bad. not around here anyways. there is no apparent reason for this outage but according to my research this is a regular problem and i should expect this regularly. I cant wait! there is nothing like getting home from college and coming home to a guessing game of whether or not ill be able to do my homework with the internet that i pay entirely too much for, or if itll be out this day and ill have to drive into the city to find a computer to use. thanks, charter! youre the best! =D people tell me i should get out more and explore so i appreciate that you guys are considering my best interests and forcing me to do just that. we have a winner, guys. Go with comcast for your internet needs. who knows, you might meet the love of your life while out and about trying to find working internet to get something important done, and itll all be thanks to the awful service you pay top dollar for

I have to say that I had one of the very best customer service experiences at this office that I have had anywhere. I took my 80+ year old Mom out to make some changes to her account and we could not have been treated kinder or more efficiently. Please...to all the "haters" out there, I mean no disrespect in what I am about to say, because I dont know the gentlemans name...but there is an African-American guy at Customer Service, thats built like a line backer...and this guy was a 10 on the service scale. He was so respectful and kind to my Mother and me, he knew the product and what would best suit her needs and better yet, he listened to what she was trying to accomplish and did it! This has been over a month ago, and when her bill came it was exactly as he said it would be. I have mentioned this to a few friends and there were others that have had the same experience with this particular customer service person. As we all know, dealing with cable companies can be a pain, but this guy erased a lot of negative experiences in our one visit! Thank you!

Absolutely terrible. Technician charges I was told would not be applied we infact applied. The agent made a note of my call and assured me a supervisor wouod call or email withun 24 hours. No one contacted me. A day or so later they Auto debited my account and it wasnt set up for that. Nor was the bill nearing its due date. (Which over drafted my account)No refund was given i eas told i wouod have to dispute the charge with my bank and if it was to be refunded it wouod take 12 weeks to get ti me. THEN the agent transferred me to fraud dept where I was placed on hold for 10 hours and then disconnected (literally). And to top it off the past 5 days I have had continuous disconnects appx 5-10 times a day lasting anywhere from 30 min to 5 hours. No help resolving this issue thus far. And the "supervisors" nevery return my calls. They can send a tech out but atm Im afraid I will be charged another service fee. I checked all the cables under my home and it all looks great. I hate big corp. They can rob us and there is little we can do

If no stars was an option I would have chosen it. I live in an area with no other service options than Charter. Service technicians are the most mentally deficient individuals I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Over the past 10 years we have experienced the worst internet speeds and continuity of service imaginable. Whenever technicians or customer service is involved its always the same response. Its your wiring, equipment, and so on. Charter installed the equipment and lines!!!! Its a pass the buck situation with no accountability. The absolute worst service imaginable. Ok this is an update from the above review more than a year later. It is not possible to be more dissatisfied with a company than I am with Charter. If my dissatisfaction was water it would be bigger than the Atlantic Ocean. This is the worst company and I really wish there were other service options where I live. Customer service is so bad it makes me die inside a little bit every time I call them and they suck another piece of my soul out.

I had someone steel from my bank acct all bills went out at same time my rent electric bill water bill and cable bill. My bank clearly stated it wasnt our fault. There was almost $500 taken from my bank acct that was fraudulent and still my payment was only a few dollars short of clearing. I feel if you could talk to an American over a foreign person maybe they could have a better idea of whats going on n our country bc by the time I found out what had happened they wanted over $700 dollars to keep my acct that was paying for a month we hadnt even had svc. I think their could be better customer svc and a change in the billing plan that matches our economy. As long as things work out bc I finally spoke to an American willing to help and if my cable is back on this week Ill change this to 3 stars but any bill you give way over $200 A month for services should want to keep me as a customer. Well see

Fees are outrageous $52.00 for internet and $20.00 for phone and $8.00 in taxes a month $80.00 a month just for internet and phone we dont have TV because it was way too expensive internet will be great for a while then it will go out constantly for days, call and they tell you to unplug everything from the modem and they will "re-set" it from their office. So if they can "re-set" it from office then Internet was NOT out If internet is truly out, they cannot "re-set" the box from "their magical phone line" they have to come out to the house and check connections coming into the house and/or replace modem If internet if out, there are two reasons - its a cable company issue or you need a new modem we were without cable beginning of year for 9 days - never saw a credit on our bill. have been other times it has been out for 1 or More days - promise credit, never see it !

It is okay. Despite the many "outages" they have even with no storm or inclement weather, the speed was great I was able to play whatever game I needed and do whatever homework needed to be done. The $39.99 price was great for the first year, but then they hit you with a hefty $59.99/month price and that is too high for me, but seeing how I have no choice (due to landlord) I had to pay it. They do offer a seasonal price at 11.99/month (given to those who are out of town up to 6 months), which I used when I was out of town. They say the speed decreases, but when I came back I didnt see a difference. When I needed someone to come out for a service issue, which happened 2 or 3 times, it was in a timely manner and he fixed what needed to be fixed. Overall it was an okay experience with Charter nothing special though. The prices are absolutely horrible though!
