Everything started great a few years ago then the high speed internet lot slower, price went up...basic analog cable is so expensive, and in the last couple of months, internet goes down frequently. Phone service is internet based and half the time also goes down when internet service is interrupted. Approximately 5 to 7 times per day in last 2 months DNS timeouts/page not available errors. Ive done all the DNS flushing and troubleshooting but problems persist. I decided to write this review today because I have run out of patience as my internet and phone are down for a 3rd time today! I called twice today - earlier this morning and this afternoon using my mobile and no one picks up. I have left 2 messages and no one calls me back. I rely on Internet for my work at home business and this is unacceptable! I dont have faith in Charter coming to take over as locals told us "they" wont sell to Charter. Its better to move away from this area. Beyond frustrated and feeling ripped off. I agree with other reviewers that the customer service from the lady (Robin) who answers at the Jonathan Creek office is very poor. She is curt, rude and very unprofessional, seems like no one concerned about losing her job therefore assuming shes related to owners. My husband was stunned to hear at his office coworkers who feel the same way about the rude woman answering the phones. Well today no one picked up. Update: Just received a call from a very nice employee named Kim who apologized and explained the cause of todays outages. What a difference speaking to someone with nice manners.

Worst Internet connection and speed, I pay 65 dollars a month for just Internet service at 5mbps, I have never seen 5mbps speeds it has always been around 700kbps and that is only when the service is available. Customer support is near non existing, when I did call my issues were not resolved and they sent a technician to my house without setting an appointment, he changed my cable modem and the service still isnt available. Avoid at all costs, patiently waiting for charter to become available to me.

I agree that if 0 was an option that Id use it. Their customer service is not very polite on the phone, paying online is a pain after their website updates, and the speed is horrendous. I am paying for the maximum speed package and I still have issues streaming from Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. Plus while youre streaming media you had best not hope to surf the Internet too. Unfortunately, there are no other options for the area.

Im surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. I have had excellent service from this company. I lost my cable on New Years Day and the technician came out that day and had me reconnected immediately. I am at about 4,000 feet up the mountain and get great internet speeds and very reliable cable service. The staff and online tech support are excellent. I have found this company to be "small town friendly!

1 star because 0 wasnt possible. 0.7 Mb/s download speed. Thats my speedtest result, I encourage everyone to try the test at speedtest net. I guarantee youll find you never have gotten the speeds that youre currently paying for. Same situation as the other reviewer though, theyre the only shop in town so they can extort their customers.

We have bought the biggest sports package.....and now we find out Carolina Mtn. Cable (CMC) does not offer the BTN channel, which is the best college sports channel (Big Ten Network). Absurd. How can they not offer it??

My place is WAY OUT in the sticks and I am glad to have cable as an option. I dont use the Internet service, but I have found the staff to be helpful and provide good service.

SLOOOOWWW, you pay for high speed an get download speed of 4mg an upload of .86 slightly better than dial up for the price of high speed. Forced to use it in our area though.

We pay 60mps upload, we get about 11mps 90% of the time. Garbage Service. I wish ANYTHING else was available in my area.
