I hired Pettys a few months ago to repair the differential on my 2002 Firebird. They completed this complex and involved job in a timely fashion at a fair cost (no surprise to me). Fast forward to this week, and I dropped my car off for an unrelated problem. While Pettys was troubleshooting that problem, they noticed an issue with the differential (which was not apparent to me) and brought it to my attention. After getting my approval, they opened it back up and found some issues. They ended up having to rebuild the entire differential again to solve the problem. This was all completed for FREE under warranty - again, the problem was so subtle that I had not even noticed it myself. The car is now back in my hands and it runs better than ever- the differential is even quieter than it was; its now completely silent and feels and sounds like new. Pettys did not have to undertake this substantial work as it likely would have gone unnoticed by me until after the warranty was up. But they went the extra mile and just earned a customer for life. Thanks Nick and everyone else for all your diligent efforts.

Ive taken cars here several times over the years when my regular, nearby mechanics werent comfortable with digging into electrical problems. Were talking old cars (more than 10 years old) that are worth maintaining but that arent worth spending a lot of money on. Each time the mechanics/electrical guys discussed the problem knowledgeably, and each time they fixed it at a reasonable price -- and didnt "over-fix" it by installing expensive OEM parts and doing unnecessary diagnostics. Ive always been very pleased with their service. Turnaround times were decent. This is a no-frills, get-it-done kind of place, not a franchise with a shiny customer area and lots of marketing and forms to sign.

I took my car they told me the rates and I said ok , I thought about it , and what I didnt like was they never told me a actual time frame they say it could take 4 hours or maybe more , so I pick uo my car after 2 hours, not fix , but I paid , go home , luckily I didnt take the express way , I stop to grab a bite and they left the hood open , and I knew this fellows were a bit short a full deck , my hood prop has to move a bit so the hood closes properly, they could not close the hood , I am glad I got my car out of there .

I had concerns when I went to Pettys, car repair can be a scary situation. Finding experience and honesty with the customers best interest seemed to be impossible to find. Pettys proved me wrong! Yes, they do charge the going-rates, however they more than proved their worth. I am not affiliated with the in any way, beyond being satisfied customer. I am familiar in car maintenance, I know what to be weary of. Whether routine or a challenge, these guys are seasoned and sensible. I recommend without hesitation.

they are shady,overcharging,dishonest,tried to charge me more than $300 for diagonastic,$773 for fixing,I took it to other mechanic shop it was $65 all with fixing be careful

Not a fan. They wanted a four hundred dollars to fix my high mount break light. I fixed it myself for 30-cents, three years ago, and its still working a-ok.
