Midas On June 21st I took my car to Midas on Columbus Street in Grove City Ohio because of a of a grinding sound coming from the rear. The car had been sitting for a year and half sense my stroke. I knew there would be some repairs on the car but I was not expecting almost $1100 in repairs. Well I listened to the mechanicals (they know more then me is what I thought) well the car had not been driven that much. My wife had to use the car and she came in after using it and said ( Don that sound that you paid to have fixed was still their) So I went out and check and the car and guess what the same grinding sound was still their. So On July 13th I take the care back to Midas. Well this new assistant manger takes the car in and come back and says ( I see the problem the right Caliper is stuck and not making full contact with the rotor) So Im think oh great the Caliper is bad and they made me purchase all new clips and could not tell it was bad when they said they supposedly tested the it. So now Im getting a little upset Then the assistant manger says Calipers can go out at any time. which I do know that is wrong there would be a little signs. So two hours later I come back to find out they had completely missed diagnostic the rear end problem. They started giving a ton excuses told me I was doing burn outs, showing me axle grease in the left side wheel drum. First I asked if the Assistant Manger would you have noticed this when I had brought it in? He first said no, then in the same conversation he said his mechanicals are certified and would have not have missed it. So I took the car to another shop and they told me their was no way they could have missed this and it did not jest happen. I was told this is what some shops do bait and switch they have you fix and very expensive problem knowing you will be back and then they can charge you another fee or their people jest dont know what they are doing. I have called their corp office several times with promise that will call me back and I have still not had a return call. So all I can say is stay away from Midas in Grove city and if this is how all Midas are then the company needs to close.

Brought my vehicle in for an oil change and boy did they give me a load. After almost an hour waiting in the lobby the technician pulled me into the shop to go over all the things he found on my vehicle. To the tune of almost $2200! Now, I know I needed two new tires, so that was part of the cost I could accept. But he told me I needed new brake pads and rotors in the front. I thought that was kind of funny since I had just replaced them about eight months ago. But I figured, Hey, thats an easy job I can do myself. So the following day I jack up my car and what do I find? Brake pads that easily have 2/3 of life left on them, if not more! The pads were as thick as my finger! Definitely not anywhere close to needing replacement. And the rotors were not in any poorer shape as well. So theres a $360 job that was quoted to me and was completely unnecessary. And now Im completely skeptical about the other work they recommended. The other thing that I found surprising is that in all that work they recommended they did not mention getting my parking brake fixed. The cable snapped on me a few weeks ago, so I have no parking brake and the brake light is on constantly. There is no way they could have missed that! So now I really question how reputable the technician really is. It seems to they are either taking advantage of people who just dont know better or completely clueless. I cant recommended this location even for an oil change. If you have a coupon take it somewhere else where they honor competitors coupons. Because you will not like what you get. I should probably check to make sure they bothered to put the oil plug back in.

Came in to get my tie rod fixed and left with a list of repairs they made. Just went in to get a little problem fixed they couldnt even find the problem I had to show them, after they stole one of my tools,and being caught doing it they said another would be given to me which I did not receive. they then broke the following Ab sensor Tie rod Struts Steering trunk More not on the list They called me and made me pay for these things they did and said it was like that i know for a fact nothing was wrong if I went in to fix a problem they couldnt even find now Im being told they cant fix it after making me pay for there damages and still leaving me with a broken car. Please do not go here, no matter what its not worth it now I will have to fight to get the car fixed and to fight the damages and the expensive bill they charged me for no reason Ive never had to get corporate involved with anything and its sad that the level of responsibility is so low.

I WILL NOT RETURN HERE. $800 OUT OF MY POCKET BECAUSE THEY SAID OVER THE PHONE THAT WE COULD SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN BECAUSE I SAID I COULDNT PAY IT ALL TODAY. THEY FAILED TO MENTION IT WAS A CREDIT APPLICATION AND I MAY NOT BE APPROVED...AND HAVE TO PAY IN FULL OR NOT GET MY CAR. IM A COLLEGE STUDENT WITH NO CREDIT TO REVIEW SO I WAS DENIED THE PAYMENT PLAN. I CANT PAY MY RENT NOW AND THE SERVICE THEY PERFORMED COULD HAVE BEEN DONE WITH A $150 PART, INSTEAD OF THE $350 PART THEY USED BUT THEY USED THE BAIT AND SWITCH TECHNIQUE BY SAYING IF WE LEFT IT THERE THEY WOULD CHARGE A STOCKING FEE EACH DAY AND I WASNT ABOUT TO HAVE IT TOWED 30 MORE MILES BACK TO MY HOUSE. THEY ARE UNREASONABLE AND RUDE. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.

The one in Grove City is no good! They humiliated me in front of other customers! They also refused to do an oil change on my car. They tried to tell me there was no oil in it and that I would need to take my car to an Autozone and put oil in it and that I would have to get an oil change done at another business. That I could no longer have oil changes with them! Also I had the passagers side headlight changed and they tried to charge me $140.00 for it! I am going to warn everyone I know to never go to this place unless you want to ripped off and humiliated. Shame on you guys. Very bad costumer service!

Avoid this place like the plague. They told me they couldnt locate parts and I was stranded in columbus for the night. The next morning they said they couldnt locate parts and within the span of 5 minutes I located parts (FOR THEM) within a 15 minute drive from the shop. As for the service, well they forgot to replace my master cylinder cap and now my brake fluid needs a full flush (brake fluid sucks water in) before the water starts corroding my brake lines. They also neglected to reattach the speed sensor back to its mount grommet. Completely UNACCEPTABLE.
