Bought a 76 Ford F100 and it was in a poor mechanical state. I called ahead asking if this was a vehicle they were interested in working on (knowing some shops stay away from older models.) I let them know in 3 months I would be driving the truck 6,000 miles and needed it to be reliable. They could have it until then and put as many miles on it as was need to work the bugs out. 11 weeks later I came to check in on the progress. They hadnt started! The only things done were from outside vendors like the headliner and door hinges. Day of pickup. They said it wasnt ready because they were fixing the horn and realized there was not horn. Days later. Picked up and drove home for the tune of $4,500.! Noticed violent noise coming from transmission. Couple days later the steering wheel started to fall off. Noticed a pool of coolant on the intake and several other problems. Took it back and they said the coolant was a leftover mess and put the steering wheel on with locktite. Also there was no noise from the trans. After many trips back to the shop I gave up and started working on it myself. I ended up pulling the motor due to leaking freeze plugs. The vacuum hoses had been routed backwards. The intake had a crack causing the leaking coolant. The steering wheel started to fall off again and upon inspection, found NO LOCKTIGHT! Where did my $4500 go? New main bearings, headliner, door hinge pins/bushing, and a horn. Didnt go on my trip and sold the truck for $4,000. Thoroughly disgusted...

I was having a really last minute issue with my car and without even being able to make it over to the shop (I had to have my car towed), these people were wonderful. The lady who answered the phone (forgive me for not getting her name!) was a gem. She was so patient with me and worked with me to find a way to make things work. I later got a call once my car arrived there and they ran the test and the gentleman I spoke to was amazing. He was up front and honest with me and let me know that itd be smarter for me to take this to the dealer to get my car covered by manufacturer warranty. I truly appreciate the honesty and helpfulness these people have shown and should my car ever need something fixed, Ill definitely be back. Im glad to have found somewhere so great.

We have been holding off "Way to Long" to get the work done on our Subaru because we just didnt trust anyone enough to do the work needed at the price we could afford. Palmer Auto came highly recommended not only by a customer, but by an employee who believed in their employer. I have to say ... both my husband and I (as well as my 86 yr old father who previously was a mechanic) were beyond impressed in the service, price, explaination, and delivery of a first class job on our car. This company is as honest as the day is long!!! We will no longer wonder where we can get first class service at a real bargain price ... for it is here at Palmer Auto Repair. Our older rickety car now seems brand new!!

This is my second experience at Palmers, and I only feel bad that Id never left a great review for them sooner than this. Theyre honest, friendly, reasonable with their prices, and the service quality is perfect! Infact, my timing [not my car] was off a little because the distrbuter went out of my car during the 4th of July. Which also happened to be Palmers vacation time to take off, for a week. I waited patiently for them to reopen their shop because I really dont trust any other mechanic to work on my car. Im glad that I waited! My car runs great! Thank you!!

They were either incompetent or trying to scam me. My car was having an overheating problem. They said they replaced the thermostat and that didnt solve the problem. The told me the head gasket was blown and it would be $1800 to repair it. Since I didnt have that kind of money I didnt get that done. Eventually I took it to another shop who replaced the thermostat (again, if Palmer did it at all). That solved the issue. Its been over a year and Ive had no overheating problems. Beware!

Over the years I have taken my Pickup and auto and many other autos I have owned to Palmers Auto to have work done on them. I have also taken my daughters SUV to have repairs done on it. I have always been satisfied when they are done. They have been honest about all the repairs they have done. I have always done my own mechanic work but as I have gotten older I just cant do it, so I leave it up to Palmers Crew. Thanks Guys, I appreciate it.

I have been a Palmers customer for 18 years. They have always treated me like I was their only customer, taking care of all my vehicles. From the friendly, helpful front office staff to the skilled technicians in the back everyone strives to provide the best service possible. Now that Palmer has retired, Lou has taken over the company practice of honesty and integrity. This is the only shop I will go to.

Palmers is my go-to shop for all my automotive needs. Their response is quick, their diagnosis is accurate and their prices are fair. My wife and I buy older, higher-mileage cars and trucks and Palmer and his staff are knowledgeable and efficient and keep them running well. This is a legitimate mom-and-pop operation that in our community that I am always happy to patronize.

Have put both of our cars in for repairs at Palmers. They do a great job. Our cars are running better than before they broke down. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. They have stayed open late so we could pick up our car after closing. Their quotes are very competitive and there were no surprises. You should definitely take your car to Palmers.

Had a car dropped by for a pre-purchase inspection, and it was tremendously thorough. Scheduling over the phone was also a breeze, and after it was complete, the owner Luke Peterson gave me a detailed call about the car, and even sent me pictures per my request of some of the details. Excellent service and professionalism. Above and beyond kind of work.

Highly recommend and always refer friends and family to them. Ive taken both of our cars there and they are always honest and only do the work requested but will follow up with you on any problems they might find. They once let me know that the requested work was not needed and didnt charge me where a lot of shops would have just done the work anyway.

Walking into Palmers shop is like walking back in time. Its a place where people talk to you like they knew you for a long time and the fact is lots of Palmers customers do know him a long time. They do good work and keep trust with their customers. (I highly recommend Andrew, one of their technicians)

Even though it was a last minute before you guys were leaving for vacation, I didnt feel like the service was rushed or incomplete. You answered our questions and well be back to have the problem fixed in the near future. I have so much more confidence in your shop than with my previous mechanic!
