I just called auto electric specialties for the first time. Lady answered and asked me my make after explaining my problem. I said its an 87 bmw. She said we dont work on bmws. She was quite rude, and short... Im not an electrical genius but if I had the time I could probably figure the issue out. Im paying them for the time I dont have... Apparently not their expertise of what they state as 30 plus years! Again, the 87 I own is not rocket science. I wouldnt recommend this shop based on the way this first impression went. Kind of like that crappy 82nd used car lot we all know... Either shifty business or just completely stupid. If you can work on anything beyond the year 2000 Id imagine a1987 bmw shouldnt be that hard... If so, you had apparently 30 years to figure it out. Dont give this shop your money. Sounds like something is off about this one!

There is not a more honest mechanic shop around. Ive been using this place for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. They are so honest they will turn work away if they know it will not be price effective for them to fix it. If they can fix it and it only takes them 1/2 an hour your bill will reflect that. Please remember they are people too and some cars are terrible to work on, they reserve the right to say no. Its not because they cant work on your car, its for your benefit. I needed motor mounts changed on my envoy. The book time was 11.5 hours, for them this is a big job, it would have cost me over a 1000.00. They said its not worth it to me, they were right. I found another mechanic who would do that job for 200.00 plus parts. They will always be my first choice.

Dont let the austere look of this shop turn you away if you want your car fixed correctly at a good price. This is one of the most honest shops I have ever taken a vehicle for service, and now I wont go anywhere else. They wont oversell service and their prices are very competitive. The only difficulty is sometimes getting an appointment since they are very busy (that should tell you something). I sent my sister-in-law here after she had taken her Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer to multiple shops (including a dealership) to fix an electrical problem that never seemed to get fully fixed. Auto Electric Specialties was able to determine and correct the problem the first time and the repair cost was very reasonable. Her biggest regret is she didnt come to AES first...

I took my truck in because it was having electrical issues with the heater and cluster not working. They were very nice and cordial. I told them just too repair the heater but when I got my truck back the heater was fixed but my whole electrical system too my driver side door was broken after I got it back. They told me it didnt work for them and tried to charge me too fix it when it was working just fine when I brought it in. I dont know if its just coincidence that it broke the same day they messed with it but they didnt offer too fix it when it was was working fine before. My bill was 144$ for 2 wires not connecting and now I have too pay 500$ to fix my door that was previously working. I just cant believe it

I have taken my car here for several repairs..some that they charged me very reasonable for..others were more expensive but i have done some camparison and never feel I have been ripped off. I love the gal that runs the front desk, she takes care of business. The place is always busy.....sometimes im angry that I cant get an appointment NOW..lol I like the fact that if my car has to stay overnight its gated in. Been using them for a few years on a recomendation from my Dad. I would definatly recomend them. The guys are easy to talk to and dont try to give you no BS .. I even thanked one for not ripping me off :D Some pretty honest folks I think!

I had an issue with my Dodge Caravan not being able to go through DEQ because the OBD2 plug in wouldnt read. I was referred to them by a guy from Midas. Taking my van here was mechanic shop #4 and a total blessing. Although Im not a huge fan of the first come first serve policy if you happen to be a person with a tight schedule other than that this place is awesome. I hope I never have another electrical issue with any of my cars but in the event that I do this is the first place I will go. Knowledgeable staff and pretty good diagnosing at fixing the problems. My car passed DEQ and it was all thanks to them!

We have been taking all of our vehicles here for years. We have always been treated wonderfully. The work they do has been done timely and professionally. They could not do the work on our Ford diesel Pickup and recommended another repair shop. That shop was able to diagnose and fix immediately the problem we had been having for several years We have never been charged for something we did not get and they have always stood behind their work. We will continue to use them as long as we own vehicles and they are in business. These people know what they are doing when it comes to auto repair.

The name is auto electric, and they are simply the best around when it comes to diagnosing and quickly and affordably fixing complex issues. Ive taken my cars and trucks to them for years now... whether it was electric issues or a complete brake job. These guys "definitely" know their business and there is virtually no turn over in help. They do just what needs to be done and at the most reasonable prices around. They are just plain "honest" and fast at what they do. Unfortunately that makes them "very" busy. You may not get in for a few days... but the wait will be well worth it.

Was referred here by a friend who promised this was an honest place to do business. Her family takes their cars here too and have for years. I tried to spend money on my car today but you know what? It just did not really need a whole lot. I just got a quote from Meineke on Powell a few weeks ago to fix something that did not need to be fixed. That was a $400.00 repair that I did not need! Good my instincts sent me looking for somewhere else to do business. I am ever grateful for honest car repair, it is such a rare thing to encounter nowdays.

Took my car in for oil and fluid change, had my check engine light on also. Radiator was leaking they said it looked like i needed a new one told me my bill would be around 500, they called back later and said i ended up not needing as radiator as something wasnt tightened enough causing the leak, they tightened it for me and my bill was only 146! Wow, very honest am i so happy with their service...will be back for sure!

Do not take your vehicle here unless you want to pay for new parts and get old ones and have your vehicle go into the shop running and come out not running so unless you want to get stuck into a money hole I suggest you go somewere else before you get seriously screwed I will never go here again because it costs me 700 dollars for them to brake my vehicle so thank you for nothing next time I will know better.
