Terrible security here. Half the time I came there, the gate was already open, and a lot of the units have hinges on the outside of the unit! My unit was broken into, and I didnt find out about it until weeks later, when I went to get something out of my unit after paying to use a truck, and realizing there is a different lock on my unit. The 24 hour help line (it was after office hours) had no idea why there was a different lock on my unit, and couldnt help me. When I went in the next day, the employee working tells me they have had a lot of break-ins recently, and mostly small stuff has been going missing. They do a lock check daily, found my unit had been broken into, and put a Public Storage lock on it. The employee said they tried to contact me about it, but I did not receive a voicemail, text message, email, letter, or note on my bill or online account. I would have moved my stuff out much sooner if I knew how insecure this facility is. They refused to prorate the remainder of the month, even under these circumstances. This place looks, feels, and is insecure. Stay away.

Do Not Rent from Public Storage. I had my things in there for five months and then they raised my rates? I intentionally chose a facility that was not as convenient because it was more reasonably priced per month. Of course, it is all in the fine print of the contract you sign, so its all good right? Wrong! After five months of "service" I cannot see any justification for a 5% increase in your rates. Im sure it works to their advantage from a profit standpoint, because I was told it is corporate policy to raise rates every 6 months?? This feels criminal as a consumer. Find some other company that knows how to treat people better. They effectively kidnap your things and can then charge whatever they want as long as theyre willing to send you a letter? Its too bad they cant take better care of their customers

This location of Public Storage is great. The grounds are very well-maintained and I feel confident in my stored items safety here at this location. Leita, the Public Storage representative for this location, always makes me feel welcomed and exchanges friendly chat each time Im there to pay my monthly rate. She is a superstar. I have rented from this Public Storage for over a year and I have had nothing but a great experience everytime Im in to make a payment or to access my storage locker. Ive also purchased a set of boxes with bubble wrap for a move and was very satisfied with the items I received. Rent from Public Storage and Leita at this location! Its the best option in Milwaukie.

We moved in yesterday and dont be fooled by the prices you see online, the rent more than doubles after all their "fees" or add ons. I even have my own public storage lock from a prior rental, but was told I cant use it...in spite of seeing multiple units using the locks. Heck they didnt even sweep the units they sold to use, had to go clean out all the spider eggs by myself. If you can, avoid this location.

There is nothing special about the storage facility, and nothing especially wrong with it either. The lockers are relatively clean and most of them have electricity. For those unaware, you do have to provide your own lock for security reasons. The prices are pretty steep and lockers are hard to come by, so make sure to reserve them long before youll need them.

I rented a unit yesterday and couldnt be happier with the service. Everything was explained and I had the opportunity to compare units. Youll want to bring your own padlock but you can buy a good one from them for $20. Theres also a $24 start up fee but I figure thats fair since they ask only $1 for first month and theres no minimum commitment.

I only needed to store things for about 2 weeks, but, like most places, you have to pay for a whole month. That wasnt a big deal because I had a special price for the first month, so I came out way ahead. I did have to buy a lock, because I didnt have one and it wasnt cheap. They should offer more than one choice on the locks.

We compared the prices of this company and many others, by phone and in person. Not a lot of difference between the majority of the storage companies, but we felt this was the best choice for two reasons: the manager was very helpful and there was a special rate for moving in that saved us a lot.

Great Customer service. She explained the process and went over the contact. I like the face that it accommodates short term and long term renters needs. Units Light bulb (or power is shut off). this is an inconvenience when you forget to bring a flash light.
