If I could give them negative stars I would. Scam artists and complete rip off. Husband retired from the military and we had PODS move us home to Pennsylvania. Seeing as he was entering the civilian sector, we had to move 1 container to our temporary apartment and 2 to this storage unit while looking for a house. We told the rep at PODS that we planned to move somewhere in the Reading, Lebanon area but werent sure specifics yet. They told us our only two options for storage were in Pittsburgh or Oaks/Philly area so we opted for the closer option. Now fast forward to a month later and we found a house and we called PODS to schedule the delivery of our other two containers and are being told it is going to cost an additional $1900 and be counted as another "long distance move". This is because it is 15 miles outside of their "local delivery" and refuse to budge and do an extended move for a member of the military. Will Van, the supervisor at the Oaks location has remained unmoving and PODS is charging us the enormous fee to literally drive PAST our new house to another PODS location and then back to our destination. Of course charging us extra in new storage fees and driving. Complete rip off and ended up costing us $7000 to move 3 states away. Absolutely absurd and we will never use this company again. Not only will we not recommend them to anyone but we will strongly encourage everyone we know to NOT use them.

My husband and I have had a very positive experience with PODS from start to finish. We recently moved 2 pods of household goods from Phila to Houston and were very pleased with the service we received. In addition to moving our household via PODS, we also used PODS storage facilities for several months on both ends of our move. Customer service, both national and at these local facilities, was great—efficient, friendly and accommodating. The entire move went very smoothly and all of our items arrived intact. Scheduling, transporting and delivery of our pods went without a hitch and both the local storage facility in Phoenixville, PA and the one in Humble, TX made our pods accessible whenever we needed during their hours of operation. The Humble location even delivered one of our pods and picked it up again within hours of delivering it even though we had not originally scheduled same day pickup. (There is an extra fee for this service.) I would definitely use PODS again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. PODS driver told us he needs 20 ft clearance to deliver the third container. Theres 21ft, plus he can slide up the others. He refuses. He told our carpet cleaners he was happy to get 2 hrs off today. Management says they trust their driver, we trust a tape measure. To top it off, we have movers scheduled for tomorrow and all our heavy furniture is in the PODS they refuse to bring us. Moving from NJ was fabulous, this center in PA has been awful. Well never use them again.

So I just got an email asking me to review my experience with PODS. I used PODS to move over a year ago and was very happy with that. One of the easiest moves I have ever had. I was able to have the POD dropped off, I was able to take my time loading it and then they picked it up and delivered it to my new place. But now I am moving again and I wanted to use PODS but found out they do NOT move to the area I am moving to. Thus I am only giving them 4 stars instead of 5

Our company had very particular spacial requirements for this storage unit which made finding a mobile storage company that would work with us, very hard to fine. Pods was able to deliver the unit into our space with convenience and ease. The delivery was fast, efficient, and fun to watch! We had our Pod for over a year and when we needed it picked up, the process was seamless and stress free. We definitely recommend Pods for your moving and/or storage needs!

We rented a POD December 2014 to get ready to down size to a new home, which we did June 2015. This worked out really great because we could take our time loading the POD and leave it sitting on our driveway as a short team storage area and then have it moved to our new home and take our time unloading. Pricing, ordering, and scheduling pick-ups, and checking my account online was very convenient and worked well. Not necessarily cheaper than a storage unit, but the convenience of having to pack and unpack only once with a multi-step move is totally worth the little bit extra that it costs.

OMG PODS is the worst! They did not deliver our stuff on time (3 days late) and double-charged our credit card. They could not even tell me where my stuff was located so I could grab a few things out of the unit.

The billing was confusing and inaccurate. They would have charged me almost $200 more had I not called them out on an overcharge. I liked the convenience, but I feel it is overpriced. Try an alternative.
