I do not recommend Marshall to anyone! After completing a rehab of a very well-known building in the area it was time to get pricing on plumbing to rehab one of the floors in our building for our living space. We specifically only wanted a local business known to the area to conduct this work. It came down to 2 local plumbing companies, Marshall being one of them. Well, the saying “you get what you pay for” bit us and ended up biting us hard. After we signed the contract (que in the sound effect of a missile flying in and exploding) everything went downhill from there. In an attempt to keep this review somewhat short of the nightmares we went through, it took Marshalls 3 ½ months to complete the work due to their poor management of resources. Unfortunately their most senior person “took the bullet” for Glen’s poor management and became the victim of an angry customer who used profound language to explain their anger with Marshall, and we do apologize to this individual. One would think that at this point you would expect a call or visit from an owner that touts himself as one who gives to community and looks out for his customers. Nope, it took several calls, emails and even personal visits to Marshal requesting to speak to the Glen until he finally called. Fast forward to August 2016 and we now notice a leak from the pipe that comes from our apartment and goes into the main pipe which goes out to the street. This leak is dripping into our store where merchandise is sitting. Basically a junction was forced into position pointing “uphill” of which the sewage should be flowing down hill. Call Marshall and request that someone come out and look at this, sent pictures as well. Glenn calls and more or less gives me the run around but he will see what he can do and he will call me back. Day 1, no call back, day 2 I call Marshall and ask what is going on? I am told Glen can make it out on specified date and he will call you. Ironically the day that Glen was supposed to call me and come onsite, our leak now turned into a full blown backup. Yes a backup from our apartment into our store! I called immediately stating the fact that we had someone else come out unclog the pipe and that I needed to know right now if Marshall was going to come out and resolve the issue. Glen did call me back and proceeded with his usual condescending manor and stated that he would look into it and get back to me. Here we are and no call back. Glen, I am a patient man but my patients have now run out! Glen, my wife is a small business owner in this community and we have revived a local landmark that is over 100 years old. Not only do we run a business out of this location we live here! With that said we do not expect the “President” treatment but we do expect to be treated with respect for a service that we paid you for and you are not fulfilling. I would have been more than happy to tell you this in person or if you would ever call back, but you do neither. You Glen have failed to provide the services that you promised.

We have had many, many issues with Marshalls and are as follows: 1. Billing - always incorrect. We had to resort to keeping a spreadsheet and had to argue all the time to get the addition and subtraction errors corrected. By the way, the keeper of the spreadsheet has an MBA. Our new oil company, not a single billing error. 2. Plumbing - Did plumbing work in upstairs bath that had to be fixed by another plumber. We had them out several times for this issue and it was never fixed. Of course charging us a service call each time. Had to have another plumber fix the issue and he said it was done incorrectly. Also, we had them out because that shower in that bathroom was scalding hot, the cold water was not working. What did the technician do, he went downstairs and turned down the temperature on the water heater and then the water in the other two bathrooms wouldnt get hot enough. Of course they charged us a service call for turning down the temperature on the water heater. Had to have the same plumber as mentioned above come and fix it. That plumber was able to diagnose the problem on the phone with a couple of questions, he came with the part and it was fixed, then he had to go and turn the temperture back up on the water heater. 3. Air Conditioning - We had them put in a high velocity central air conditioning The issue with this is that the 2 furthest rooms from the unit which are the same size, one room has two outlets for the cool air and the other room has only one. Needless to say, the room with the one outlet never gets cool. The air hardly comes out of it at all. We called them to come out, only because they were the ones who put it in, to assess this because it is becoming an issue and was told that "your account was closed several years ago due to a dispute". So once again, we need to have someone come and fix their mistake. Oh yea, one more issue with the air conditioning. We had lost a screw for the outlet and we went to the office and asked them if we could buy a screw and the answer was no and then we asked where we could buy one and they couldnt tell us. They wanted to schedule a service call for a screw. Of course that costs alot more than a little screw, We dont expect something for nothing, but what we do expect is that what we pay for is done correctly and will last. Our mistakes are that we didnt listen to others in the community when they told us about their experiences with Marshalls and the second is that we didnt file a complaint with the BBB at the very beginning.

I will never ever recommend this company to anyone . And I didnt even want to give them a 1 star raiting. !! And man and I , both had interviews today at 5:30. Both showed up maybe 5:28??(traffic )he actually drove a good 30 minutes . Any way, doors were locked, lights were off , no one in site. Confused , we both re sent emails , I even called the number posted on their website . Which is an an call service . She was unable to help. After 30 minutes of trying to get in contact ? And being out side in 40 degree weather with wind chill. Someone comes out to tell us ( very rude ) " yeah, interviews are at 5:30, someone stands downstairs and waits. If you are not here we lock the doors" we both tried to explain how we were here, and how we tried to contact them. She continues to repeat herself " yeah interviews are 5:30. So feel free to call back tom". She didnt seem to care at what we had to say. So there for.... Um NO thanks!!! 1. How are we supposed to call you if we are running late Since you dont have a direct phone number ? 2. If its that big of a deal, try to mention in your email , be here 15 minutes early. 3 You are rude . 4the fact you New we were outside and didnt have the respect to try to contact us to rescheduale ... rude and very unprofessional !!! 5 I would never want to for for people like that! Not my style! So there for, good luck to the person who gets that job ✌
