I recently went to rent the advertised "$1 for the first month" unit. I was very honest that Id be out within the month. As the trainee read all of the non-essential questions about rooms & trying to sell overpriced packing materials, she mentioned a "pro rated amount would be charged on the first of the month", which was 2 days away. I asked the manager of the site, Tina, why & how would they pro rate $1? She said ok & I watched as she wrote on my paperwork that I was a 1 month customer & she made it sound like the pro rate would not happen. However, the trainee called a few days later asking for me to pay the $28, their pro rated fee. I asked to speak with Tina but she was off that day. I explained to the trainee that I told Tina about my 1 month & I thought I would not be charged. I asked her to have Tina call me back. when I received no call, I assumed that she realized that I was on the $1 & didnt bother me. However, 1 of the 2 women actually called my Mom & asked her to come pay the fee. I didnt find that out for a couple weeks but when I did, I called to ask why. Tina didnt remember me or my 1 month plan.... she even denied ever knowing about it but when she pulled out my paperwork, she saw her own writing on the form with that very information! I dont expect her to remember these details but maybe before you start swearing that isnt so.... check the paperwork!! I went in the next day to empty my unit with 10 days to spare! I asked why she never called me back & why she asked my Mom to come pay? she said, "If we cant reach you, we call the other person you put on the form". I said, "Kat called & I asked her to tell you to call me & you NEVER DID". Both women denied calling my Mom, but I had a receipt! I asked why they charged that $28 for a $1 unit??? NO ANSWER!! I asked how would we get our money refunded? She said to call into the main office. So, after several calls to Public Storage 800 number, I finally got a human who gave me another number to call, then that number gave me another number to call collections. I called twice in 4 days, left a message, as was asked & finally got a call back. I asked her to credit my Moms account but that is not possible. She said they refund only by check & it takes 4-6 weeks... for a $28 check??? I havent received the check as yet but hopefully will & then I will NEVER rent from Public Storage again! The communication level was ZERO!! I just dont get why that was done & why this woman Tina, who sits in an air conditioned office most of the day had no time to call me... or even send a text! LAZY!!! I wish I could still get an answer as to why public storage would charge us $28 for a $1 unit???? And why is it so hard to get our money returned? seems a little underhanded... like they hope most people wouldnt go through all of that for so little. That is just plain BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! On top of all that, my unit was damaged so pulling the door up & down was difficult as the tracks were bent. How about some maintenance! Or are the damaged units the $1 ones??? For a business that seems mostly self service, these 2 women "working" there dropped the ball! This should have been simple but without communication it wasnt! So, I await my refund check & Id love a call from Public Storage about the pro rate practice. I mean, if Tina had said, this is what we have to do, I would have charged it & asked, on the spot how Id get my money back. If she said by check in 4-6 weeks.... I wouldve called corporate right then & there!! Id already sent 3 people there in the last few years but wont ever do that again! There are plenty of units around & if simple communication is too difficult for Tina, then go elsewhere & save yourself the headache!!

Tina is an absolute pleasure and a definite asset to your company. She is professional and friendly. Even at the busiest of times she is able to connect with each existing or potential customer and addresses their needs promptly. You, as a customer, never feel rushed or as if you are an inconvenience. She takes the time to get to know her customers and has a very caring heart. I have personally seen, on many occassions, Tina go above and beyond to help out a customer. She exemplifies everything that you would want your customer service person to be. I have worked in customer service for several years so I hold the bar high and expect alot from people in customer service positions. She brings her A game to the table every time I have dealt with her on the phone or in person at the West Chester property. She is patient and very knowledgeable! I have been a long term tenant and appreciate her service.

First of all, Erika and Ryan were top notch. They both had us laughing and enjoying our experience there from the moment we walked in. I was really happy to have picked the right place. They were personable, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They made me want to stay and hang out with them because I felt immediately like I have known them forever. And at the same time, they were extremely efficient and professional with their ability to find me what I was looking for at a price I felt good about. My experience with public storage has been nothing short of spectacular. Tina has been very helpful not only with the unit i am occupying but also with a second unit for another family member. There has only been one minor incident in the past year, and that was just because someone crashed into the security gate. The gate was immediately fixed and at no time was there ever a question of security or a worry about our units contents being compromised. All in all an absolute pleasurable experience with Public Storage and Tina as well, and I would reccomend this place to anyone.

I love this place because of one person. TINA. She is the glue that holds this place together. I dont want to give her too good of a review because I never want her to leave. She not only interacts well with me but with other potential and current customers. She is receptive to the needs of everyone she interacts with. I know because I witnessed it. I want to tell all that read this....if you have storage needs come to this location if its feasible and ask for Tina. Tell her Fred sent you. Thank you Tina for everything. If I could rate 10 out 5 stars I would!!!!

Got a unit from this location. Kat helped me out the entire way through the paperwork and made it really easy to understand the options and the lease. The office was fine and the unit itself was alright. The wheels definitely needed to be greased and look hard to open, and a large part of the ceiling looks to be missing like someone could drop down inside and snoop through my stuff? Sort of sketchy. Otherwise the area itself and the surrounding city looks fine and the staff I encountered were nice, so 5 stars for the staff, 3 stars for the unit maintenance. Boo.
