Over priced services. Research before you buy! Do NOT get cable from them. They are the only cable internet provider in the area and the price is ridiculous! Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!! I was on the phone for an hour and 2 minutes waiting to talk to a customer service rep on off hours! They told me that I NEEDED to have a tech come out to my house to hook up my internet, which cost $50. I hooked it up myself and it worked.... I tried to call customer service and they said that "you must be picking up your neighbors wi-fi because someone has to hook yours up". The rep then told me the 50$ was mostly for "Gas" to get here. When I cancelled the tech appointment they then notified me that half of the 50$ would go to "Hook up fees" for the rep to punch my routers MAC address into the system. BEWARE!!!! This company is not professional at all and either tries to lie or doesnt know what they are talking about!!!!

If I could give zero stars, thatd be great! Again, they decided to increase the rate while keeping the service like crap. There is absolutely no other competition in this town. Worst company by far compared to other ISP. Id say we report them to BBB. I stream videos and play online game and constantly lag and getting high ping which is VERY frustrating if youre a gamer or you like streaming videos. I wish there is a way for other competition to join in or at least Comporium needs to up their game and improve on their services. By far the worst experience in this town and Im sure there are thousand of other people out there are pretty angry as well. This company is so bad that it makes Comcast shines like a star. Anyway end of my rant.

Its a shame that Comporium cannot be rated lower than a 1star. Sneaky fkrs always finding reasons to increase a bill. Year 2 Bundle Increase? What genius thought of charging more when the customer is establishing longevity? Fire his ass! And I dont need one of those template responses from the owner; youre not going to do anything but keep jacking up your rates because your competition relies on satellite and remote services, as opposed to wired. I will certainly be glad when technology itself forces Comporium out of business. And its coming; just ask the vinyl. Or the 8 track tape. Or the cassette tape. And even the CD...

People complain about the monopoly, but that is even in larger cities. Compared to TWC and at&t that i used in Charlotte Comporium has outstanding customer service and support. Ive had a few issues and they have corrected on site within a couple of hours. I even called on night around 8 pm and a tech was at my house by 9 pm. They did a upgrade to our service a couple years ago and it has been very stable since definitely getting the 99.9% up-time that telecoms shoot for. I do not have cable of landline service with them so this is solely speaking of them as a ISP.

Had a very bad experience with rep name Vicky. She was very rude to me she inform me why my service wasnt working but couldnt answer any of my questions containing to my account, had to call back and wait on hold 15 min spoke with Christine who immediately apolagize after hearing why I was upset and answered the questions about my account but I still have to go in office in the am because of this bootleg service they call internet and security! No wonder they make u sign contracts.

Terrible ISP. Unreliable connection that constantly under delivers advertised "max speeds" Drops out daily, especially in the evening when you actually need it. Basic fiber is 4x the speed as basic cable despite being the same price, and the have "no intentions" to upgrade your neighborhood if you already have cable, so you will always be stuck paying more for less. This is a prime example why people hate their cable company. Google Fiber please come save us!

Moved and Internet not available were I live wanted to charge a cancellation fee. Instead they jacked up the monthly to make up for the fee. Have been waiting for over a month to see if they would but service in they wanted me to pay to have it done ! Are they nuts over 20 houses in the area and more building. They lost an engineering ticket and then reopened one said it went through still waiting do they have one engineer for the US

internet is SUPER SLOW, and they are ridiculously expensive, which they really dont even care because theyre the only cable company in York County, so they feel like they can get over on us. I tend to get the "i dont care" attitude every time i have to deal with Comporium. I hope Time Warner Cable sweeps in through York county sometime in the future, i think so many people would be much more happier, i know i would!!

I miss TWC, never had as much trouble with internet going out. Our internet goes out every single day. Literally everyday. I had TWC for over 8 yrs in various different locations and never had a problem, never! For some reason, Comporium gets to be the only internet provider in town which is just bull, I could understand if the internet actually worked, but it doesnt.

So I just have the Internet here and the bill is wicked !!and they just dont care you got to have your money right up front or else no leeway no nothing this is the worst company EVER!!!! This company is garbage. I have had to report three problems so far and have only been with this company for 3 months. Customer service reps are friendly but the quality of product is trash. I have had to take time off work twice for technicians to come out and fix things. Currently looking for a different provider.

I wish AT&T or someone better would just buy them out already. Their technology is horribly outdated and the price of their services dont justify it. But what do you expect from a place where youre promoted based on being in the local good old boy bloodline and not knowledge? Inbreds and IT dont mix.

Great service and overall experience. From the initial setting up of service to the installation everything could not have been better. The guy who installed our services took time to make sure we were comfortable with how to use the system and helped set up our home wifi. Definitely recommend!

Worst ISP on the planet... Literally. I had better internet in Africa. It works for 5 minutes then doesnt for 10. I dont normally write reviews but I thought everyone should know to stay away from this worthless monopoly. One star is more than they deserve.
