#TimeWarnerCable is the poorest #InternetServiceProvider I have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately, I have been a customer to their frustrating internet service for several years. As there are very few internet service providers here at the West Columbia, SC, I had to continue with them. I have 15mbps service, which is never 15mbps, it ranges from lowest 3mbps to 12mbps at best. I have called their help lines many times, and as standard procedure they only offer two options: 1. restart the whole system, 2. if nothing found then they will direct the problem to my router. My modem and router, both are new and compatible with #TWC system. I actually purchased those after checking TWC website. Alas, my internet service never gets better. Recently, they even increased the price, without any prior notice. Paying $60 every month for frustrating 3-12mbps is just too much expensive. Everytime I feel I am paying for nothing. #TWC is just taking my money without providing any good service. To me, TWC is running a monopoly internet business in our area, West Columbia, SC: fewer competitors, higher price, poor services. They are just utilizing the demands with cheap services. I will never recommend this service to anyone around West Columbia, SC. TWC should take care of and respect its customers and must be more responsible. Even, my country of birth, Bangladesh, provides better internet service with lower costs. My experience with TWC is full of frustrations and inconveniences.

First of all my fiance had internet services in his name no problems until my new neighbor decided he wanted services and decided to use OUR ADDRESS because his was blocked so being that my fiance only has mail coming to OUR ADDRESS and he doesnt have the same on his i.d yet I ordered new services in my name went to harden street showed my proof of residency and all they still felt the need to give me attitude except for one lady on morning shift, she really helped me!! The afternoon shift workers full of sh×× I asked if the manager was in and they gave me nothing but stank attitude which is rude by the way this one lady wouldnt give me her name but im trying to tell her whats my problem she steady cutting me off asking me do I want someone else to help me like can I explain my problem first??!! I will neverrrrr go back to harden street h×× a×× workers again they can really kiss my you know what!!! I will take all your jobs TRY ME!!!!!!! SUE THEM IF YOU HAVE TO!!! LET ME HAVE A PROBLEM AGAIN THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER!!!

Their brand of modem/router/wireless provides garbage wifi. Used my own high-end wireless access point. Called in and turned off their "wifi package." After which, my wired connections immediately stopped working. Tried customer service and he repeatedly tried to trick me into saying that I was using wireless connection and displayed a complete lack of networking knowledge (asked for my IP when I have no internet connection after confirming Im using DHCP on my client). CSA finally asked if I wanted a tech, some time between next the next full moon and Feb 29th. I told him to turn the wifi package back on and immediately wired connections began working. If companies can have noncompetitive arrangements again, where is government oversight? Horrible customer service. Horrible service. Too bad this is a monopoly. Id never give them a cent again. PS. Dont be mean to your CS techs, theyre just doing a job to make money like the rest of us. Its those sots at the top doing us dirty.

I am a new customer, paid for my service up front (3 days ago) and STILL dont have service yet. Yesterday the tech never SHOWED up to my residence to activate the tap, nor did I even receive a notification that no one would be coming. Last night I called and was told that dispatch would call me the following morning prior to a tech coming by, I never received a call. Instead, I call back only to discover that my ticket had been routed to Wisconsin! I went into the store to ask for expedited service in hopes that I can finally get service on today. I also asked for a contact from dispatch. Nope. Theyre unable to do anything but read notes on a screen apparently. Here we have a company that takes your money up front for a service they dont immediately provide with incompetent and inefficient staff.

Stay far way from TWC. After six months, my rate for TV/Internet was tripled without prior notice provided and autopaid from my checking account. I visited the TWC office to fix things three times, was told that they were fixed, and that the mistake would be corrected online within 24 hours, and then found they were not. I have fired TWC and gone to AT&T. Now, I dont have cable wires running all over my apartment because AT&T is wireless. And the rate for the same service and features is less than TWC. I am hoping never to hear these three words again: Time Warner Cable. Judge for yourself; the average score for TWC on this review page (from 1 to 5) is 1.5. I suspect that, when TWC is bought by Charter, service and performance will be worse, if thats possible.

I too had to give a star because that is the lowest. I got a "new" modem that I "had" to rent and it had wireless. It only had about a 5ft radius and I had to go back to an aftermarket router. Then, my service was so slow I couldnt stream movies during peak times. After about 10:30pm it would start to pick up again. When I called to get help they offered no solutions. I even paid to upgrade my service and it did nothing! And the response below about contacting them on facebook or twitter is a JOKE! That is extremely like them to deflect any actual reasonability. I am moving out of the area luckily and dont have to deal with them anymore. Awful experience but they have a monopoly especially if you are in apartments.

I had to give a star so that I can post my review. Every time I call Time Warner Cable (which is an American company) the representative is in an Asian country. I cant see how they can help me with any of my issues. My Internet which twc claim to be the fastest and best always stop switch in between the regular and this new so called faster connection and plus everything from the tv to the computer. I have been calling and going to the office they sent techs out but they keep saying the same b.s too many people in the area has twc and signals get crossed well twc if that is the reason then you all have to fix it or get better and stronger services. Im looking now for a better Internet service.

My issue is more with the company than the service center. From day one, my cable service was garbage. I couldnt get a clear picture on my DVR box to save my life. After having it reset a half dozen tines, I was told that the box I had wasnt the "latest" model and that I needed to turn it in for a new one (this was less than 90 days into my subscription). Why in the heck would you install a box that wasnt the most recent model? Ive since received a new box. However, I continue to have the same problem... So needless to say, when I drop off my box this time it will be for good!
