I am writing to complain AGAIN about our carrier!!! I am going to file a FORMAL complaint with regard to our mail service. Our carrier NEVER closes the door on our box which on a rainy day causes the mail to be just DRENCHED and some unreadable!!! This happens on a continual basis and even after complaining in person at the post office here locally!!! The box closes as easily as it opens! I dont understand how this is such a difficult thing to do! There are 4 houses on this property, and our boxes are located on a Main Thoroughfare ( 2673 ). Our mail ends up in each others boxes etc.... This is UNACCEPTABLE ! Most recently, two parcels were to be delivered to me and NO attempt was made to deliver ( someone was here waiting ) and moreover, NO NOTICE was left. Had I not gone online to check, I gues the parcels would just be sent back!! This is time sensitive merchandise I have been waiting for and I HOPE it is still waiting for me at the post office as the carrier is much too lazy to even attempt a delivery! Shame on youall for not correcting this problem upon the first complaint! No wonder everyone thinks Canyon Lake is such a hillbilly place to live. Service like this ( or lack of ) re-enforces that thought process!

There isnt a negative rating past one star and there should be. I have been trying to locate the package that was mailed to me from Canyon Lake with my sons phone in it.......this has been going on since July and the package has mysteriously disappeared. They have no record of it and the bar codes that were placed on the box(in person by the mail carrier) was never scanned. NOW the box is missing and the mail carriers for this branch are now stating that the package never existed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The funny thing is.....when I check my phone carrier service online....how in the hell does a cell phone have ACTIVITY on it, when it hasent been in mine or my sons possession for the month that we are showing activity????? I will be filing a report for a stolen phone with the Canyon Lake (Comel County) Sheriffs office....oh but wait, I have to get someone to answer the damn phone!

If i didnt think this post office could get any worse they surprise me. Now they have an automated message phone number that infuriates me more than it should. So now they dont have a reason to answer their phones. I just wanted to tell them for the hundredth time to hold my freaking package even though they should know by now to hold my packages instead of leave them on top of my mail box near all of my neighborhood mailboxes like they have been doing. If it doesnt fit in the box take it back to the store and leave me a note that says its there. I dont mind picking it up but i swear to god if one of my neighbors steals my package i will come down there and get pissed! I cannot believe that a government ran business doesnt take their jobs seriously. Heck they could go to prison for a lack of care...

In the Canyon Lake Forest area, i have had no problem receiving or sending mail. I called the post office at 8:15 AM even though google says they are open from 9:00 to 4:00 and someone answered. Post offices get busy and I rarely expect to get an answer mid day when calling though I wish they had voicemail. I talked to Linda who is the carrier on our route to ask about restrictions on putting up a mail box and she was very polite and helpful. I am only giving 4 stars because I feel every business should have voicemail to accommodate busy times.

This post office has been awful for years now. They lose packages, break contents, refuse to answer the phone DURING business hours. Complaints do nothing. Calling other postal offices including the one that is suppose to be the supervisor over this office does nothing....I am at a loss. If you know how to report mail abuse...customer service fraud and anything else this office can do wrong...they HAVE...please advise me where to call, write ...hell, send horseback rider too?????????? UGH!!!

I was expecting a horror story after reading the reviews, but had to go in on a busy Saturday to get a mailbox assignment. However, there were three friendly, helpful postal employees behind the counter who were doing their best to consolidate and manage work loads, all with a smile. One star off because its a little difficult to reach them by phone and because our mail carrier didnt take a package to our door though we are well within the half-mile distance limit.

Constantly delivering mail to the wrong people and marking packages as "delivery attempt" when they didnt attempt to deliver it at all, which pretty much means somebody in the chain there is just lying. For the longest time, I thought this had to do with the community not complaining, but now I see that its just that this post office doesnt care what the community thinks. It honestly baffles me that USPS hasnt come down here and told them straighten up.

Pkg not here. Called to discuss with them and their automated phone system is not working, so it just tells you they have an issue and hangs up. The USPS should just close its doors. They are so poor at providing service and their competitors rarely miss. Im for shutting the whole thing down and do it in a way that does not fund the pensions of all the incompetent employees.

Worst run post office Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Rude, slow, slow, disgustingly lazy. If the package boxes are all full, they take your package back to the post office. They dont attempt to redeliver. So you have to wait in a long line for slow, rude service during the 10-4pm inconvenient hours. Not sure what local genius came up with that protocol.

Pretty much a horrible experience every day with our carrier. Boxes left unlocked, missing packages, "attempted" deliveries at 7 AM (yeah right) and many times items are never received at all. Community is vocal and constantly complaining about the contracted workers but nothing is ever done. The worst mail service Ive ever had the misfortune of experiencing.

Honestly, why must the carrier shove my packages in my mail box like he doesnt have a care in the world that he might ruin what is in it? There are larger boxes to put packages in but they dont give a hoot. I had a photo in one of them and it is all bent up. Thanks for not taking pride in your job. This is an ongoing issue and probably wont get any better.

Worst service (counter) EVER!!! 6-10 people numerous times in line, only one clerk 90% of the time. Will never call anyone up front to help. One time they did ask for help from the back & I heard the employee say "I dont know how". Carrier service on my route is EXCELLENT.

Natalie at the Sattler PO was very helpful in tracking down my shoes. She contacted the mail carrier and then called me back after having located the shoes. The 3 star is because the carrier has often mistakingly place other peoples mail in my box.
