This place is amazing. And yes--Im describing a carwash but this is not an ordinary carwash. First--I made an appointment to get my car inspected last Saturday morning. Thats when the manager called me to confirm our appointment for later that morning. What I didnt realize at the time is that it was raining and the carwash was not going to open that day. I confirmed the appointment and was rather embarrassed on arrival to realize I was the reason they were semi-opened and apologized for not canceling. I was told they were there to honor my appointment--which I thought was very straight-up of them to do so. So I left my car to be inspected, and went inside to wait the 15 min I was told the inspection would take. Those 15 min were long enough for me to become thoroughly engrossed in the wonderful selection of cards and other various little things they stock in their waiting area. I ended up buying some super neat cards as well as a couple of journals to give as gifts. The inspection was over in the amount of time the inspector had told me it would be and I was out of there and on my way--which is a good thing the way I was spending money. Yes--the cards are really that unique; and the gift items are fun and super neat to go through. I dont think theres a better card selection anywhere in Fort Worth. Plus the place is spotless--the employees are both gracious and conscientious. Not sure what more anyone would want in a local business. Theyre the best. One more thing: if you tried this carwash more than a year or so ago, its apparently changed ownership. The prior owners--in my opinion--did a really average (at best) job. Back then it was just not all that worth the money in my opinion but now--the new owner is apparently super serious about providing quality service worthy of the money youre paying--Ill be back for sure.

University Car Wash is a state of the art car wash for the particular or just plain fancy! I normally opt for exterior wash only but desperately needed cleaning after a hectic winter and spring, particularly moving new art to clients facilities. The location was a surprise, neatly tucked behind Apple, in University, so it was a hidden gem. And while I dont wax lyrical over basic maintenance and upkeep of the vehicles, (ugh and double ugh!) the finishes in the lobby and waiting area are Chic and sleek! And as an art professional I really appreciate attention to the detail - unexpectedly found here...high end rough hewn cabinetry, that contrasts sharply and cleanly w gorgeous cement countertops, sleek tables and the comfy barstools and lovely floors. The high tech big screen tv will capture the hubbys attention, while i was more excited about the upscale coffee bar and private battista coming shortly. The owner happened to be onsite while I waited for the truck and he mentioned the premium coffee machinery coming (yum!) and the front coolers for drinks available, once the new construction is completed. this may be the only car wash we come to in ft worth! Theres even a coupon for the first visit if youve checked in w a yelp!

This place is the best around. I brought a filthy oilfield work truck in, that hasnt been cleaned inside since new (50k miles of west Texas dusty lease roads, greasy tools thrown inside, and a dog inside 24/7). Told them Id like the best they offered, price was reasonable for what I expected- a quick cleaning with seats/dash wiped down and carpets vacuumed. When I got the truck back, I was amazed. Seriously, its brand new inside. Had I known they were going to the level they did (inside center counsels and under back seat storage trays for example) I would have emptied the truck out beforehand. Legitimately feel bad they had to move all that stuff I thought was stored out of way of cleaning. Didnt know they cleaned so thoroughly. Everything was removed from doors/center console/etc and placed neatly in bags in the back. The employees were super friendly, environment is comfortable, and had a few employees check up to make sure I was OK with long wait. Explained I was, knew the truck was beyond saving (or so I thought), that I apologized it was so dirty, and had no problem waiting. When I got it back my jaw about dropped. Super impressed with this establishment, the employees, and quality of business being ran. Thank you!

Have used the facility many times, including a full detail about 3 months ago (not the worlds best - but better than I could do - I thought)... a wash about a month ago... I went on Friday (7/25/14) for a wash and inquired about making sure back seat vacuumed as my dog rode in car. told I needed the Gold level at $10 more than the $19.99 wash. Paid it only to realize it took longer than expected. I did not inspect as I left. When I arrived home I noticed that back seat was not any better than when I took it in and my windshield although it looked better, was not really cleaned... you can see the streaks where the person cleaning did not use as clean a cloth as he should have, and shows missed areas (with the morning sun hitting the windshield... ) and as for the vacuuming in the back that wasnt, the front floor mats looked like they barely vacuumed and not removed to vacuum under... Totally disappointed and more so when I have called three times this morning to have them ask my name each time, put on hold, and being told manager is in a meeting. She apparently attends LONG meetings as I have been calling since 830am and it is now 1115am

I went in with a clean slate and a readiness to put 3$ car washes behind me. I was immediately impressed with the friendly and attentive staff. Even though the Colonial was going on next door they were able to take care of my wash, detail and oil change. It was unique to have a "high end" feeling to a car wash. It seems like the carwash is going through a positive transition time. I guess theres new management or ownership. Everything is really clean. The last time I went to a car wash like this was in East Texas and it had greatly degraded by neglect. University Car Wash was a polar opposite. Uniformed people, clean waiting area, and ultimately the best car wash and detail job my car has ever received. Caesar greeted me at the end and made sure everything was to my liking. This is my new home for oil changes and treating my car to something special.
